Speaking of PC Versions of Final Fantasy Games its always good to check out Qhimm for mods.
The Mod Team Avalanche is making a complete update of VII there. (Though its a very slow process)

The general idea behind it is not my issue with the protogaonist personality and his growth at all. To be honest though its also the part of FFVIIIs writing I have the least problems with. (though still quite a few)
I don't doubt it on that. I actually liked the overall animations already way better in Heavy Rain than in L.A Noire. I may hate his games for the writing but he the tech + "directing" of the cutscenes/sequences was always outstanding.
VIII is the best FF game, just FYI. It's the one and only thing that Volo is actually correct about.
Thats really up for debate. For me its by far the worst to the point of hate.

Jurassic Park: The Game
If you ever were a fan of JP. Buy this. Now. Scrap that. Buy this for all sorts of reasons.
Never have seen QTE's as intense as in this game. And the death scenes are a sight to behold too if you fail.
Wow, its amazing how well Volourn knows the buisness side of things. I never knew that there is some pure rule that "820'000 just doesn't cut it for x developer in x year" exist. All those other things just aren't important compared to broad, general statements.
Volourn Style!
I was following this thread on the codex. Its about Anthony Davis leaving from Obsidian. He himself posted in there and gave this answer to a question regarding DSIIIs success.
DS3 sets a lot of things plotrelated up for possible sequels. Lamasu's prophecy and the choice related to it beeing incredible obvious for a sequel. So I'd think they would adress all of that.
I'm more interested in HOW they integrate all the different choices into a sequel as some of them are quite substantial.
Virginia still alive and kicking, I presume?
What if I told you that Zane wasn't the project director of Virginia? OMG
Change everything.
Also kinda confusing.. Really confusing.
From the Chris Avellone Interview back in August 2010
Josh Sawyer was Project Lead on F:NV
Chris Avellone was on the DLCs
Rich Taylor was DSIII
and
that leaves Zane Lyon with Virginia.
Yet you suggest he isn't which would mean he was it on New York. Which in turn means that Cochey Cantus Resumee didn't really make sense as he still expected a release on Virginia.
The only logical conclusion I can draw out of this is that he switched to New York later on. And he just isn't the project director on Virginia anymore.
But even that: *Head explodes*
Edit: Or maybe Chris Avellone was Project Director on it before he went to the DLC's? But, wasn't he already fully invested in F:NV?
I think you have to recover your gamertag and earn them again.
Why would I need to recover my GT when any other game and any other DLC achievements unlock and add to my gamer score just fine? No other game I've played does this.
Yes, they do. It's a common issue when you earn achievments before they are up on xboxlive.

Yeah, all of THAT doesn't mean jack. (Also only a few titles are actually reaching a million within a month (which are hits by the way. This is not the standard. By far not.))
I'm not saying DSIII sold amazingly here. I'm saying it did well and I don't believe it was a flop either. We'll see anyway who's right here. Either by Square ignoring the brand or by dismissing it or by continuing the franchise.
Fact is. Nobody here has Squares actual earnings of the title. Nobody knows how much they invested in it in the first place. I stated the reasons/arguments why I see these numbers in a positive light and why I don't agree with the arguments made.
