    Dungeon Siege III didn't go on sale (Apart from a 33% base reduction) . Would have gifted otherwise.
  7. Surely there has to be something more. If I were willing to crack my PS3 OS (which I'm NOT), I could d/l their games for the PS3 also. Those console versions even get more hits on the d/l's then the PC versions. Don't D/L any of them (though normally I'm browsing for cracks for my legit PC versions which are hampered by the anti-piracy measures the companies take, which ironically make me go to the pirates to look for solutions because the companies can't even troubleshoot their own tech problems they created with their DRM as well as the Pirates can), but to focus so strongly on the PC side when the console side is actually hotter right now...shows someone either has their head up their rear end and have NO idea about the true piracy market right now...OR their trying to blow smoke up my rear end and failing. I suspect the real reason is they've KILLED their own PC market with their stupid DRM schemes and now it isn't even worth the money for them to invest in a PC port. It isn't. PC is way more convinient and it takes effort and setbacks to "hack" consoles. Of course that changes nothing that its still a **** move and retarded in multiple ways.

  9. That statement is from a completly logical standpoint wrong. Just because "nobody" cared about it doesn't mean it didn't exist or isn't the actual "first". Of course Wolfenstein and later Doom made the gerne really popular but even they had precedessors. Edit2: Did you edit? Ok, then. Makes more sense now.

  11. Well "having" an IP with sequels (both borrowed and original) may as well still come. Until Bethesda and Square Enix Obsidian wasn't really known for healthy publisher relationships.

  17. Or not, as the second part of your witty reply shows. First off, that wasn't a "witty" replay but a real suggestion. All the information (and other) we have so far on them is there. For example that Tim Cain is working on the animation title as a senior programmer or that Sawyer is on the original IP. Without any of these titles actually beeing announced that is a lot of information. Trying to help, so dial back.
  18. I never said DX:HR didn't make compirativly more money. It still cost obviously a lot more (both in development as in Marketing. Those CGI Sequences were probably not cheap.). Compared to other really "big" games the dev size seemed to be indeed small. But its still around ~100. A The dev cycle was actually not that long. Didn't they say 2 years too a while ago? It was announced May 17 2007. But yes, to get back on track, I'm glad that they've managed to establish themselves and it looks like there now is a third studio that makes games I can really like. Which brings me to another one of them, Obsidian, do we have any idea what's in the pipeline, I feel like I've missed something? Check the Obsidian General Section more often and you would get a lot of answers to all your questions. But currently they are working on an original IP and a "high profile Animation" IP. There was also another project before those (Virginia) but we have no idea what's up with that. Also theres some other stuff going on.

  20. Considering they are not comparable at all in terms of costs theres nothing poor about it. Thanks to Anthony Davis we already know that DSIII was low cost compared to other full price games. Anyway, about Deus Ex. SQE specifically stated in that report that they were very happy with DXs sales and want to continue the brand. The price going down is also easily explained with DX beeing massivly overshipped in the beginning. Though (as with DSIII) it begins to stabilize. The List price itself is still $59.99.
  21. Wow... Just wow... A true example of masochism. To be honest. The beginning of XIII regarding story and so on was fine. The purge was interesting. Sure the gameplay consisted of pressing X (which got better after a while) but everything else went down the ****ter much later.
