South Park is a comparable big IP though. And the creators work is generally really popular.

I think Zane Lyon is the project director of SP: The Game Funroc. Any idea whos the Lead Designer? Linkedin only lists Nathaniel and Matt currently in that position.

I don't really think South Park is Travis's particular brand of humor. More Fenstermaker. (Though I agree he could have certainly contributed)

Actually this game seems like a perfect oppertunity to make fun of their older games. Would be surprised if we didn't see any jokes regarding classic rpgs.

From the exclusive Gameinformer Announcment are writing the script, performing the dialogue, Writing the script can just as easily mean as writing the main quest/storyline. Performing the dialouge is VA work. Again, I don't really think they are going to design the quests or write every bit of dialouge in the game. According to Mustang it doesn't really seem to be that they are working that closly.

Nope. Obsidian's not writing it. Yes, I'm sure the SP guys are doing all the quest design and writing, C&C and so on. Makes sense. Fenstermaker's also just on the project for laughs.

According to Kotaku it will be out in the second half of 2012.

We'll see as soon as we have more info on the game. Its really just the announcement at the moment. How the game will end up is pure speculation at the moment.

@Alvin: By the way, since you guys design the game I assume you did writing work yourselfs too (At least for sidequests etc.)?

I was the producer on South Park RPG for some time. I don't recall directly interfacing with Matt & Trey, but the SP Studios guys I worked with were great. Thanks for the answer Who is working on it by the way? Is this the project Eric Fenstermaker is working on since he didn't work on the Fallout DLCs?

Yes, its also a political non-show. I haven't seen South Park taking a stance on anything ever except making fun of all of them.

Why are you bringing your political view into this just by announcment of the title? Also "rightiest piece" What? South Park is sometimes offensive I give you that. But the problem isn't that they have a right-wing stance but that they basically just call every argument ever "stupid" and be done with it.

I... I'm not sure if this is meant to be a humor post? I actually did a bit of research on just that topic while I was on the project, because I was curious of the general South Park stance on the queer community.
