  1. Maybe it costs less? Steam ain't cheap, ya know.
  2. Going for the eye was quite useful but that was it, really. I don't think I've ever aimed for anything else in Fallout and Fallout 2.. except maybe.. the head.
  3. Apparently the NDA on the Comic-con hands-on is only for images and photos, so we should get more meaty impressions on the Bioware fora and elsewhere pretty soon-ish.
  4. Hopefully the changes to combat in New Vegas will make aiming for the limbs more effective but I'll be honest... I doubt it.
  5. I'm not in a position to criticize, since I stepped out of this when I couldn't pick up a character I didn't love, but, personally I was hoping for a little more.. spectacular showdown. Regardless, I like Omen Deng a lot, so who cares. Also *hugs* to Mojito for organizing it and making me waste some time I could have spent more productively.
  6. I don't think its been officially classed as "tyte" yet, though, so maybe there's hope? I'm actually pretty sure Alvin said the game is tyte. The game is going to get canceled
  7. Sawyer says they own. I'm beginning to fear this game is going to be canceled...
  8. Managed to play my first Aliens Swarm match! Yay!
  9. The art style has certainly a comic book / World of Warcraft-ish / high fantasy punch. The graphic engine doesn't look exaggeratedly good, but it suffices, and it does look better than, say, Dragon Age II.
  10. Generally it is, though I have generally more pleasant memories of that type of system in... *suspense* Ultima Online. It worked quite well there IMHO.
  11. I hope it doesn't translate into every character of the same class playing exactly the same though. A little bit of variety in builds would be nice.
  12. Wizardry has always been a beloved franchise in Japan, they've done a lot of upgraded ports of the game, a PS2 game which from what I've heard was actually quite good (and had certainly a better and cleaner art direction than the awful one of Wiz 8, though I know most won't agree with me) and there's also another title that's been developed for next-gen (though we should actually call them 'now-gen' but let's leave this semantics debate to some other topics) consoles.
  13. Note that : 1) Morrigan says that Flemeth will probably respawn. Probably being the keyword. I know, I know, narrative conventions and all that jazz mean that Flemeth will surely return, but she still didn't confirm it. 2) The actual Hawke - Flemeth encounter depicted in the screenshot occurs at the beginning of the game, while Hawke is escaping Lothering, so technically, Flemeth would have been still alive, regardless on whether you killed her or not with your Grey Warden.
  14. It's not that difficult to reconcile them but you lose the help of one of the most powerful elven mages (in case you wanted to side with the elves) or of the werewolves (in case you wanted to side with them). So, maybe it's an easy choice from a 'moral' point of view, but from a practical standpoint it was well done (though, the fact that the role of your allies is really downplayed in the end, made this practical/moral contrast less pronounced and much less interesting).
  15. Well, I have to say that as far as I remember, the Redcliffe quest and the Magi circle quest were the only ones with an easy solution. Both the Orzammar quests and the elven one, had much better moral dilemmas.
  16. You mean use the setting or make a FF Tactics-esque game? I'd love to do either. On an handheld maybe? I'd love to see a game that focuses on the meat (tactical gameplay) instead of super shiny graphics.
  17. Except Assassin's Creed 2 had decent ground textures. I mean, the game will certainly look much better on release, why are they releasing screenshots now? It's not like they're even using motion blur to hide the low-res textures like Alpha Protocol...
  18. New hi-res screenshots : And another batch:
  19. Volly, I don't want to be rude, but look outside the window. WRPG's developers are far from the only developers in the industry. I won't say more, because quite frankly, it would start another ****storm debate.
  20. [funcroc]And back to LA. I can't wait to sleep tonight! Oh and expect a flood of SquEnix announcements all day. Last one is likely a sweet reveal (from that SquareEnixSonia twitter) So.. new Squenix games to be announced today?[/funcroc]
  21. Nah, though I believe that calling them one of the most creative developer in the industry is greatly exaggerating. I shouldn't have to remind you who you're dealing with here. I know who we're dealing with, but if properly stimulated he'll post his absolute truth charts about Bioware video games' quality to explain why he isn't a fanboy, and that greatly amuses me.
