  4. I admit, I had a much less action packed day. Some back and forth on work, some assorted paperwork. British Airways got in contact with me over the "You know those tickets you had booked right before pandemic hit, so we gave you vouchers to use on an equivalent flight once normal travel resumed? Well now that costs of flight are going up, we're going to save more money by giving you a direct refund rather than letting you cash those vouchers in this year." Still pondering on the 3D Printer repair. Puttered around on designs for Mando armour still. Possibly sliding a touch more like this: But it isn't completely sparking my creative juices for a "this is the one"...
  5. Just wrapped up Deliver Us The Moon. It's an.. odd one. Once you get past a couple of the plot points it's an atmospheric adventure (no pun intended) in an apocalyptic near future where as a lone astronaut sent to the moon on a critical mission to save humanity. A slowly un-ravelling mystery, but all set to a series of fairly basic platform movements, flips between 1st person and 3rd person play, a few logical puzzles, and a lot of collect audio logs or look at memorabilia from the missing colonists. And for some reason a space suit that can only carry 3 minutes of oxygen. Depending on how invested you can get in characters told to you via notes, audio logs, and some holographic logs you might enjoy the emotional pull, or it might just be dull and unmemorable if they don't catch you. About 3-4 hours worth of game to run through.
  6. Say what you will about the rest of it, but the character arc across multiple forms of media across the years was really well handled.
  7. Now that I've got those key soft-parts sewed up, I'm trying to get back into Blender and the actual armour design. Can't seem to get the right creative juices flowing on it. Trying different things and nothing is really sparking for me. Also in tracking down the latest glitchy behaviour of my 3d printer, I discovered the nozzle had become partially unscrewed at some point, causing PLA to ooze out of the screw-threads, and glob inside the rubber heat protection all around the upper half of the nozzle, the heat block itself, and around the thermistor and wires. Joy. Edit: And yep, also looks like the threads in the hotend are buggered. Tried putting in a replacement nozzle and it gets 3/4 in and then spins freely rather than tightening. Now I need to get a new hotend for the printer. Although since it's 3 years old there's a certain element that is tempted to upgrade to a new printer as is...

  9. As long as everyone keeps talking honestly and clearly to the construction guy, it should all work out in the end... It might look a little different to how you imagined it when you started, but it's a glorious journey to get there...
