  1. Would it be my paranoia or would it not fit for Trump to deliberately arrange a bunch of fraudulent votes for the Democrats, just so he can "catch" them...? Or am I being too cynical?
  2. Well for the cheap shot... When Americans say "this is not who we are" in the future, I think we can clearly say "this is who half of you are" without any argument...

  5. Found myself re-watching an old cancelled show while I was eating dinner. Kings. Damn, reminded me how out of its time that show was when it premiered back in 2009. Only 13 episodes of that first season, a modern day retelling of the story of David from the bible. An impeccable cast, and almost shakespearean dialogue. Ian McShane, Susanna Thompson, Eamonn Walker, Dylan Baker providing the extreme gravitas, while Christopher Egan, a fairly young Sebastian Stan, and Allison Miller were the younger members of the cast, with Macaulay Culkin turning up for the last few episodes. One of those ones I'll always feel a shame they cancelled it before working out the rest of the story. *** King Silas Benjamin came to power in a mythical battle against the rival neighbor republic of Gath, capitalizing brilliantly and ruthlessly on his near-godly image. Farm-boy David Shepherd performs as well, saving Silas's crown prince in another epic battle, but is too noble and naive to aspire personal benefit rather then devoutly serve king and country. Nevertheless, after Silas decides to abuse David's legend, the hero is drawn into palace intrigues culminating into coup plans against Silas ***
  6. I don't get useful politics out of twitter, but more interesting talking points to look into in greater depth or general snark/amusements.

  9. Puttering around with Watchdogs Legion at the moment. London looks very pretty, and I'm slightly curious how all the people used to playing out car chases on american city style sandbox games will take to winding narrow London road systems.. The whole concept of "anyone can be a member of Deadsec" that you recruit as you play and randomly switch to them when their skills might be useful... Eh, its nice in concept but the execution feels lacking. There's very little to any of these characters beyond a name, an outfit, an accent when they talk. The skills they might bring rarely come into play, and the ones whose outfits might be useful - ie, can potentially wander into restricted areas without being noticed, aren't hugely effective. You pretty much give everyone an infiltrator bot and can use that to run around and do most of the mission related stuff while you loiter just outside of the restricted zones. I do kind of miss the sense of character interaction, I'm not getting a huge sense of pull into the story missions of it all just yet.
  10. If you really want to blow your mind, he actually based his accent on Tony Head's day-to-day accent. So "Giles" actually speaks more like "Spike"....

  14. A silly that amused me - in the middle of story, a group are trying to track down an elite hacker, only to fail. When they look at the map showing all the various ip addresses and routers they were following to locate them, they realise when the map is zoomed out, the glowing dots of false locations spell out "Get Lost."
