  1. They're actually special ammunition fired OUT of rockets that kung-fu opponents to death before pulling out their own duel wielding rocket lesbians. Sounds like a porn movie.
  2. Not to burst your bubble but he didn't act alongside Ed Norton, it was Orlando Bloom in that movie.
  3. Finished the demo, my impression so far has confirmed my fears though there were a few nice surprises. Character models are rendered beautifully, backgrounds and level design seems a little bit unfinished, voice acting is very "mass effecty". The most interesting points seem to be the presentation of the story, the dialog and a few improvements in the combat system. My biggest lows where the SFX for the attacks animations (sounds like a nagging wife once your brain has become dull and all you hear is white noise) the dialog and the companions don't seem all that interesting.
  4. They may promote values equal to those of societies but the army doesn't necessarily follow the same form and values as society. An army has a set of rules and values to which all soldiers must conform. If the Spartan army said that you had to sleep with your buddy as a team building exercise, you had to sleep with your buddy and if they say that you can't be too queer, then no Dolce and Galbana belts for you soldier. They have their own set of law and values that have no real bearing outside of the battlefield or military life, and we allow it because we understand that it's a different life. My point is that basically, this should be a military decision not pressured by social conventions.
  5. I'm sorry but...What the Hell are you talking about!
  6. The tiger of Malaysia, Kabir Bedi Whoooo, Sandokan
  7. Isn't that what chart are supposed to do? They are supposed to present the information in comparison to signify the status of A. (horse weight) Like let's say that you are doing a study on the horse's weight in the last 5 years. You find out that there is a rise in weight, so you present your finding to your boss and do a bar chart. Because a pie chart wouldn't quite represent the rise. If you are looking for accuracy, sticking with numbers might be your best idea.
  8. That's your body's way of saying I told you so.
  9. Spent the whole day watching the "Man with No Name trilogy" best 8 hours of my week.
  10. I watched the **** out of that show and right before bed too. I used to get the coolest dreams afterward, loved every second of it and the chemistry that David and Gillian had was wonderful.
  11. Everyone has a man-crush on Wals. I hear he smokes a pipe ya know. Sign me up for the Wals' fan club.
  12. I have waited until my anger subsided before posting here. Wals, what would the point of this discussion be?
  13. 5 more pages and it may get interesting.
  14. After that watching that fight with the Ogre and the same repeating animation, over and over with that awful sound I'm definitively in the "hate the animations" group. Looks like they tried to make it more actiony but it is still and action game with just one set of combat animations.
  15. Actually a lot of the quest were fetch first, do random encounter second.
  16. We are gamers, we do stupid things for virtual rewards.
  17. Better than Aveline; by the Maker. That woman could kill a an Archdemon with her jaw.
  18. While I may not agree with the free market, I think that a government regulated free market would be the best system. The system has been set for thousands of years, in order to set a new one you would need either complete agreement between countries or another British empire. So far the Venus project ideas seem a little flimsy. The problem being of course that a government is just a s susceptible to money corruption as corporation.. Betting rid of this debt would be a very good start and an egalitarian society (even based on money) is a lot less likely to succumb to corruption. So I try to be as open about it as possible, but this current situation has to change. I'd support a bigger government if that's the only viable alternative. I'm all open for alternative solutions or reforms to the current system, the problem with the alternative that the Venus Project suggest is resource based. They don't seem to have all the kinks work out on it yet, the problem is that a resource based system; as opposed to the current "scarcity" based system, is still a scarcity based system only in the reverse. Resources do become scarce and some are non renewable. Men are corruptible but a least they are flexible, nature on the other hand can't be reasoned with or bended.
  19. Well, the demo's out tuesday, then you can see for yourself. Oh right, I forgot about that
  20. Going through the motions of it never gets any easier, though.

  22. The difference is that it's a bad ending, is conceived as an ending and it brings closure. Losing the game halfway and not playing anymore is not; although I find the concept of a "non-losing" game interesting in the manner in which the story would branch out.
