I'm trying to keep most of my stuff in standard Max option because I always have to outsource to render farms which are incompatible with a lot of plugins, but apparently RoadKill is a standalone app or something? I'm currently using XRayUnwrap to make the whole texture mapping thing less annoying, but it's still a pain. Is a very simple program, if you are familiar with Maya then you won't have much trouble adapting to the controls and it does in 5 mins what takes 15 on max. No kidding, I unwrapped a character in 5 mins. It's very easy to use. The one problem It has is that if you try to load the UVs onto another model it gives funky results, but I hear that its max problem.

I have said this before in conversations but that's probably going to be harder than it seems. So far this industry is under tight control by publishers and with literally thousands of people waiting to get a job within, they can afford to fire and blacklist a few troublemakers. It may be a bit cynical to assume that their intentions are selfish but I've never seen them crying over the working conditions or even try to oversee that their workers are being treated fairly.

With the difference that a movie company makes an additional buck after the movies has left the theaters with DVD/BluRay sales, and then there's selling the movie rights to TV channels. Maybe if Video Game publisher's became more savvy like that there would be alternate sources to finance a game other than direct revenue and they would charge 60 freaking bucks.

If we were able to actually converse and acknowledge when others are right despite any fundamental differences or how shattering it may be to our mental frames, then there would be no need for war. But as they will not; by their own volition, change then it is up to us to educate them. Throughout history the only way to do this was for the weaker culture to be absorbed into the greater one, because of American culture has spread through globalization it is a half won war. The only thing remaining is sending the right message and repress any unrest it may cause. You know from listening to you I get the feeling that you haven't seen this side of war too much. You can try a live opossum trap. My coworker used the same thing for a raccoon infestation he had in his attic. Or a pellet gun should work. I dont like poisons though, I feel they are cruel. .....
