  1. Yeah that's the point I've made several times, the IDF should have used a ground invasion from the beginning. Yes they would suffer more casualties but they reduce civilian deaths and allow it allows them to be more surgical I think you just gave the reason why they didn't do it, they really can't or won't allow themselves to get into an actual conflict where they could lose manpower. Its a kind of admirable forward thinking strategy, play the war today whilst preparing for the wars to come. I'm more concerned about the lack of action by Western powers, I wish I had a reason to explain why that didn't become a conspiracy theory.
  2. Given the difference in both target audiences I'd say there isn't a conflict.
  3. Your post is voiced in such a way that I can't tell if its sarcastic or not. God job on adding to my confusion!
  4. I was expecting the forums to be more divisive on this matter but it seems no one is buying the story. Anyways, they'll probably say that the Russians tampered with the blackbox or something. The real question is whether or not the previous Malaysian airline incident was part of a false flag operation; to the Conspiracy cave! Na na na na na na naaaa.
  5. Fine, in order to bring this thread back on it's rail I'll ask the question; if DA:I is going to be more open world does that mean I can shoot prostitutes after sex to get my money back?
  6. Whelp, you need to make those 5 milliseconds into a minute using bulletime.
  7. The good news is that there is a dedicated modding community from the previous games, the bad news is that they might not care about DA:I. I've seen modders develop their own toolkits and tools, so its not impossible even with a new engine but its also not sure.
  8. Its cuz you're a girl!!!Why won't you accept men into your life? Plz play with some men!!! Seriously though; its the taming of the shrew, if girl shows a disinterest in men then there are those who see it as a challenge rather than an obstacle. I guess they interpret not playing as a man as not liking men. On the subject: Boy does this game need a better questing system.
  9. in other words, things that I care less about than anything else in a game such as this oh, well, what can you do as for missing out on great games, the only truly great game that starts off really slow I can think of off the top of my head is Fallout 2. I hated the first few areas with a passion, that's why I stopped replaying it, I just can't bring myself to make the trek to Vault City all over again just to get to the interesting parts. most other games I tried and disliked in the first 30-60 minutes would eventually prove bad anyway (BG, I'm looking at you) Well, I have to say that even though as a nerdy roleplayer girl, I want to really shake my head at you but then I have to check myself and remember that I have my own quirks too as a gamer in that I just can't get into games that have a male fixed protagonist. I've tried many a time in the past, enough so that I've finally come to the realization that I just have a preference and that's all there is to it. I don't connect with a male character enough so that I will stick with a game from start to finish. But you wouldn't believe the amount of vitriol I get on various forums on the 'net when I state that. It's like I'm dissing males everywhere and I must be a feminazi, etc. So yeah, we all have our quirks and yet we can all enjoy a good rpg in our own ways. Amirite!? Well, that's your prerogative but I gotta say that you're cutting yourself from the majority of games out there. It would be as a guy who missed out on Portal just because the MC was a girl, they don't get to experience a good game just because of a silly reason. Plus, what kind of role player can't role play outside of their gender?
  10. Ok, the filename says hot latina sofia but all I see is a sign saying "Stop stealing Bandwith" I'm I the only one?
  11. The only game full developed by Bioware as part of EA is Dragon Age 2, everything else was already in various states of completion, although you could argue EA interfered. Or that Bioware mis-marketed their ending of ME3 (which is a totally awesome game and you should play). The choices you make during the three games are the ones that count, the final decision in game was horrendously handled and we were told this is what we've spent however many hours building up to.. How many people ****-canned Deus Ex (the first one) because of it's RGB ending? Unless you want a Fallout-style ending with splash screen after splash screen with every minute detail addressed in a weird disjointed monologue? I expect huge things from DA3, and I think that EA have realised that Bioware need to be able to do their own thing considering the backlash from DA2 and SWTOR (different part of Bioware, but whatever). If EA let Bioware do their thing and do it well they have a real chance at grabbing this part of the market. It makes sense to let Bioware have a long leash for DA3 but also for ME4 and whatever future projects they have. I love how people still want to believe in BW, and how EA must be the reason that they been having such a poor job. EA gave them 200 million dollars to do TOR which was a complete and utter failure, I'm pretty certain that BW has done their share of **** ups with their projects that had nothing to do with EA. I doubt a publisher would trust a developer with that kind of money and feel the need to babysit them. BW went through a staff change where all the talent sort moved away and someone less apt where left in charge ( I'm looking at you Casey Hudson) Plus, I doubt that EA is the one forcing them to write those cringy quotes for their characters, that's all BW baby.
  12. Like, a guy who was assigned female gender at birth, or...? No, no, no...he's the guy.... I think you are incorrect, can you provide some links that discuss this? It's a joke...Cassandra is too masculine...some even give her moustache...and she bash castle gate in DA:I demo... oh the jaw.... Considering that a jawline that could sink the Titanic is the hallmark of BW female characters, I would say that isn't indicative of anything... except quality.
  13. As Bryy pointed out a game story gets around, so writing a story exclusively for a game makes for a better in-game story. Particularly because games are not a good medium for storytelling since they requires interactivity. Is like writing for an action movie, or a porn movie, or any kind of movie where the story is secondary to the action, it just blends better if it's written to compliment the action rather than to get around it. Coincidentally I have now gotten curious about the existence of a Hamlet porn parody.... "Alas poor Yorick! I boned his sister, Horatio "
  14. Like, a guy who was assigned female gender at birth, or...? No, no, no...he's the guy.... I think you are incorrect, can you provide some links that discuss this? There was a rumor that said that one member of the cast was trans, I thought that was going to be a sign that Maevaris was going to be in DA:I.
  15. Has anyone heard of seen anything regarding the combat and the possibility of mixed builds? I kind of want to know what skills are coming back, which are new, ect... It kind of interests me more than BW pimping their characters.
  16. I think that when people assume that a corporate entity has an "attitude", they'll end up in the wrong simply because a corporation is not alive even though it behaves as a living thing. The great Leviathan and as one, made of people who are ultimately who decide and influence said attitude. Without being privy to the internal culture inside BW all we can do is speculate. If I had to point something out it would be the thematic differences in their works, BW has become more about the romances/companion based narrative driven games and Obs keep doing unique RPGs and being awesome at it. Bioware have a kind of "hive mind" where everyone in the company act the same, acting like a d**k...really, they will become like a d**k from time to time....that is their attitude, and their working attitude...It not just on their staff, but also their loyal fans, but the fans are drones, they are like a clone of the staff and their job is attacking anyone who critic Bioware...After the one who critic got heated, the mods come and issue a ban, all blame goes to the one who critic They are like that, the staff and the fans, they love to bait the discussion into something else, get into religious and racist stuff, or even sexual stuff, then the one who got banned are the one who originally critic them in the posts...i got hit by that tactic many times, they who direct into religion stuff, then i who got banned... So it's okay when they say "Qunari are Muslim terrorist and their religion is Islam" but when i said "No, Muslims are not terrorist, Qunari is not Islam", mod come block the topic, banned me and say "religious topic, end of line!" That is their attitude It seems that just the mods on the BioBoards, or have you some insight into what goes on the development side of things?

  18. you had me until about here I kind of agree with this.
  19. I know this an opinion that a lot of people have considering that Obs did sequels for high profile BW games. Aside from that they really haven't got anything in common other than the fact they both do RPGs.
  20. Because there is no question. Please return there and keep asking it forever. Be kind, I believe its our duty to rehabilitate those that have lurked on the BioBoards. Have you no pity?
  21. I swear to God, every time Bruce brings up one of his feminist threads it turns into a discussion of Marxism and class warfare.
