Huzzah! (w00t) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yeah, a round-kick to the head just before sex really gets me going!

You do realize that teaching culture does (usually) not involve taking your clothes off, right?

Well, I went to a press conference sort-of-thing for World of Warcraft before it was released (and I have this really cool sweatshirt with a WoW logo on the chest to prove it!) and they kind of explained where all the money is going (although at that point they hadn't decided the amount for the monthly fee yet). Basically they've built this gigantic network of servers (with the help of the swedish company Telia), hired a ton of people (GM's.. Game Masters?) and devoted a huge cast of programmers, designers and artists to constantly upgrade the world with new quests, items, monsters and areas. Also, they have support personnel for all major languages, and even Sweden might get a swedish support team! For me personally, the 15$ per month is too much to pay for one game, but it is wrong to claim that those fees are going directly into Blizzard's pockets.

Gauntlet Name Revealed: Gauntlet Seven Sorrows
mkreku replied to funcroc's topic in Computer and Console
Wow, I had no idea one of my favourite Commodore 64 games was made by Warren Spector (Space Rogue, a very bugged Elite-type space trading game that totally destroyed the limits of what people thought was possible on a Commodore 64. it had filled-in vector graphics!) but that means I've enjoyed his games for 15 years! By the way, check this out: http://www.mobygames.com/user/sheet/userSheetId,16081/ I had no idea John Romero had a user on Mobygames either -
That sounds.. ok. But I'd still recommend my butt-staring method though! It's fast! It's cheap! It's a lot of fun! (except for the 9 times out of 10 when you get slapped) Best of all: in 100 years, who'll remember all the embarrassing moments you've subjected yourself to?! NOONE! So keep staring, guys!!

Gauntlet Name Revealed: Gauntlet Seven Sorrows

Geez, I had no idea they had a line-up like this one, and you even left out Romero from that list! They sure as hell don't lack talent! Warren Spector was one of the most trusted game developers (by me) until he decided to put his name on Deus Ex: Invisible War.. But System Shock and Deus Ex shows he can do tremendous games if he wants. I just hope he hasn't lost his touch. -
I've only played Endless Ages, Project Entropia, There, Everquest 2 and World of Warcraft, and since WoW is the only MMORPG that's even given me the slightest notion of fun, I'll gladly vote for it. It even gave me lots of fun at one point (while playing the closed beta), but I will never pay monthly fees to play a game. Not even for a game as good as World of Warcraft.

Oh oh, I have a great story about staring at unknown girls' asses! Once upon a time.. I stood in line for an ATM, and it was cold and dark outside so the queue was quite compact. When I stood there managing my wallet, I held it quite low in front of me (because the distance to the person in front of me was so minimal I couldn't extend my arms forward) and suddenly I noticed that the person in front of me was this really hot girl wearing thin white pants on top of black thongs (they were visible through her pants). Somehow I kind of forgot about my wallet and admired her rear end instead, thinking she wouldn't notice in the dark. But she did notice. Guess what she did then? She smiled at me and slowly backed into my hands (which were still holding the wallet in front of me), letting me feel her up! Then she just casually walked away after getting her cash.. There are two things you should learn from this story: 1) Keep staring at female butts! It will finally pay off someday! 2) Swedish girls rock!

They changed that Paladins need more experience per level than other classes? I remember playing a Paladin in Death Knights of Krynn and I thought it was sooo awesome having to collect 2-2.5 times more xp per level than (for example) a thief! It really made me work hard to advance my character and when he finally got his levels it really paid off (especially in that game)..

I'd love to have an "endless experience bug" in real life.. Oh, and about the girl problem: You only need to do two things to attract girls! 1) Be nice. 2) Look like Tom Cruise/Brad Pitt/Orlando Bloom/Whatever-hunk-that's-popular Piece of cake!

I don't know.. Could be interesting.

They are both very good computers. Not much of a difference between the two systems, although the first one will be better for games, while the other one will have a much longer battery life. I'd still go for the first one. Those extra 25 pounds are well worth it.

Bluetooth is a wireless network technology, most commonly used in mobile phones and PDA's. There's a few other peripherals that use it (like keyboards, webcams and mouse's) but it's not essential for your survival

Hey, it's christmas. I'm sure we've all made some strange (and sometimes regrettable) purchases in the last couple of days. Of course, he's the only one who will wake up with a hang-over in jan. 1:st 2005, screaming "MY GOD!! WHAT HAVE I DONE?!"..

The Radeon Mobility 9600 Pro is an excellent graphics card that can handle most games without problems (I'm playing Half-Life 2 on one right now, 800x600, max details and 2xAA). ATI's latest drivers are exceptionally good and bug-free and they're (finally) very easy to install. The Radeon Mobility 9600 Pro is a much stronger card than the GeforceFX Go5200, but if it's worth

To all naysayers yet to play the game
mkreku replied to mastaGAW's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
What I don't like is the fact that the game has been released for the US Xbox only. You live in Finland. Guess you "imported" it, huh? -
Where did the original Pool of Radiance take place? I kind of liked the map that followed with that game. According to that map, the city of Phlan was located to the north of a great sea, but the map showed areas south and east of the sea too.. I remember wanting to be able to travel to all those countries in the sequels to Pool of Radiance, but unfortunately that never happened. Found a crappy map that shows the area I'm referring to.. Moonsea?

Sorry to break it to you, but.. That's actually an iron frame covered in hay and shaped like an idolized goat image. Not a goat at all.

Have people been expecting too much out of KOTOR2?
mkreku replied to KOTORFanactic's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I was about to get upset, but then I remembered the funny-smelling Santa that stumbled into our living room just a few hours ago. He had his beard on backwards and his breath could kill small pets, but he was there! So I'm assuming swoop upgrades are in there too and you're just being mean. -
