  1. I bought Anchorage. Never bought any more DLC after that.
  2. It looks good. As soon as they'll sell a version without Ubi's horrible DRM, I'm all over it.
  3. I don't understand how that could ever be a bad thing though? IF the Muslim community would welcome him, that would be a huge bridge to a better understanding between differing cultures!
  4. That doesn't look fantastic at all. It looks like an intricate skybox with some rendered houses on top. Very weird screenshot.
  5. No. You will trip and fall every ten feet.
  6. Fantastic looking screenshots! Congratulations, Obsidian! Edit: Ps. Could you include a snow level? Please?
  7. Do it. The forum software resizes everything to some standard size anyhow. The only difference is that those who wants to look at the pics in their original size have that choice too.
  8. Why was my post removed? And stop double-posting, Fionavar, or I'll report you to uh.. Feargus!!
  9. FINLAND CLEARLY CHEATED RRRRRAAAAAARRRRGGHHHH!!1!
  10. I thought so!
  11. Yes, you're right, I hadn't noticed that. That's certainly appealing for the people who don't already own Mafia. I'm not one of those people, unfortunately.
  12. From the Eurogamer preview: "At this point we can choose to point out that he has just "killed" four guys with three bullets, which is a mite suspicious, but we reason that we could just let him go and then report him to King later, so we don't. Unfortunately the game isn't quite set up for this kind of thinking, and upon returning to King we're only given the option to say Orris "seems legit"" I hope this isn't true! If there's one thing I hate in games is when there's something completely obvious about a quest, but the game leaves you no option to figure things out for yourself and instead forces you down some convoluted quest path just to come to that same obvious solution. Fix it, Obsidian!
  13. The difference ins't huge in Sweden, but it's still a no-go on Steam for me. Mafia 2 retail: 348 SEK, includes physical items and p&p. Mafia 2 Steam: 380 SEK, includes nothing.
  14. He's German.
  15. Exactly my feelings about Two Worlds too. It must be one of the most underrated games ever. I'm glad I gave it another shot.
  16. In the original Gothic you got to play a genuinely German looking dude with a ponytail hairdo and as much bad taste as only German people know how to bring. It was hilarious. His little ponytail swaying in the wind as you'd jog in your tight lederhosen through the Valley of Mines.. I'm going to miss that. We need more bad German taste in games! Down with the perfect hero ideals!
  17. I try to be, but I can't shake that feeling of disappointment that followed after playing Bioshock COLLECTOR'S EDITION.
  18. Long preview from Rock, paper, shotgun: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2010/08/12...-game-unveiled/ Haven't even read it myself yet.
  19. Might as well post a little more about Arcania while I'm still here: A gameplay video (Xbox 360 version): http://www.gamereactor.eu/grtv/?id=8208 Release Date: PC & X360 - October 12, 2010 PS3 - 2011
  20. Rise from the dead, ugly thread!! Anyhow, I have no idea why noone's been posting in this thread since 2008 (over two years ago!) because I am sure I've talked about the game on more than one occasion since. A few new screenies! http://arcania-game.ru/modules.php?name=Ne...iew&sid=287 This one (if hot-linking works): There's a lot of controversy over on the official forums about the look of the new nameless hero. Some say he's too emo, other think he's too much like an American Action Hero ©. Myself, I can't make up my mind. I think he looks OK, I guess, but for some reason I also immediately resent the character slightly. It's such an unsympathetic character, but I don't know what's wrong. All in all, I'd say the character models look excellent. Much better than in any of the former Gothic games, in fact. Check out the picture of the tattooed guy sitting in a beam of light (from the link above). Looks fantastic!
  21. Oh. My. God. It's like I've entered some sort of bizarro-world where everything I know has been twisted 180 degrees! From the comments on the link Sannom provided:
  22. Uhm.. I spent approximately 60 hours in Gothic, approximately 80 hours in Gothic 2 and well over 120 hours in Gothic 3. Although some people touch them for 15 minutes and then never again. Hmm. ICO is really short though. And a classic that will look great on your gaming r
  23. Today I switched battery in my thermometer.. for the first time in 16 years, as it turns out! BUY DURACELL, PEOPLE
