I listened to an interview with this guy a few years ago, Peter Joseph I think is his name, the host (Alex Jones) asked what would happen if this new society encountered a person from outside it's influence, the reply was that they would need re-education, Peter Joseph had a strange insistence on refusing to acknowledge a distinction between good and evil as the concept is inherited from judeo-christian values, which have no place in a modern society. It seems vaguely disturbing to me, there's always someone who thinks they're smarter than you, capable of thinking on a higher level and that because of this they deserve to dictate how you should live, I'm prone to thinking that a 'scientific society' would eventually end up as a dictatorship...maybe I've seen too much sci-fi. I recall the first two videos making some good points, a financial system where the people in control can simply create money with no real world backing is cause for grave concern, our money supply is controlled by groups of people who *gasp* conspire together to retain control of physical wealth using the accepted power of imaginary wealth. I'll give this third video a watch and see what I think.

I demand the option to fart during the scene

I had a similar thing happen in my game, perfectly formed pre-gib eyes, brain and spine bits hanging in mid air as if they were sitting inside someones head

If I wasn't balls deep in Morrowind right now I'd be joining you, I'll hang on though, wait and see what the other DLC brings.

It absotively was.

"In addition, Bethesda confirmed plans to release a further three DLC packs in the coming months. These packs will launch simultaneously on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Further details are promised soon."

One game that let me down in recent years was Bioshock, I did love the plot but the hype machine hinted at all kinds of brilliant things like an open world, sidequests and a virtual ecosystem, what we got was a semi-rails shooter. I felt Dragon Age lived up to the hype quite well, for a modern game it's got a crazy amount of branching and hard to find content but I felt the world itself was shallow, they harped on and on about how unique it all was and for a while I was intrigued, details they released on the official codex made the world sound pretty interesting, lots of potential for twisted situations and grimdarkness. In reality they didn't build on any of it, I basically knew the entire backstory and most of the plot just from watching and reading previews, most of the codex updates I got in the game were already available in some form online and at times I felt like I was just going through the motions. Todd seemed to be pretty upfront about their limitations in the podcast, I'm more inclined to accept what he's saying than the things we've been reading in previews (especially translated ones), especially this idea of towns being tied to a local industry, apparently "burning down" the mine will devastate the local economy, I'd bet good money this will boil down to you killing the miners, getting a barter penalty and some nasty remarks from npc's. Epic.

Project Nevada is on my list of mods to install when I finally play New Vegas again, still got a couple of endings to see, I'm going to wait until all the DLC is released though.

Speed penalty for back-pedalling. "Bethesda also smartly changed the pace at which characters backpedal, which removes the strike-and-flee tactic frequently employed in Oblivion. In Skyrim you can't bob and weave like a medieval Muhammad Ali as you could in Oblivion. Players can still dodge attacks from slower enemies like frost trolls, but don’t expect to backpedal out of harms way against charging enemies. If you want to flee, you must turn your back to the enemy and hit the sprint button, leaving you exposed to an attack as you high tail it to safety." I like this bit too. "One of the more alluring changes to the spellcasting in Skyrim is how you can employ spells in different ways. For instance, you could blast enemies with a flame ball from afar, hold the button down to wield the spell like a flame thrower, place a rune on the ground to create an environmental trap that spontaneously combusts when an enemy steps on it, or equip the spell with both hands to deliver high damage fireball attacks that drain your magicka reserves quickly. The shock and frost spells give players an equal amount of flexibility."

I can live with the change if it's true, that city was built a long time before Morrowind's ruins, on the other hand Pete isn't the most reliable source and Twitter ****ing sucks.

Thanks, now I badly want to finger**** people's mouths in TES:V

Weeeeeeell, a bit For as much hate as Bethesda get, they're a far better home for Fallout than modern day Interplay.

"We will love if we have to do Fallout 6 and sequels. But we will see what happens in court. It can be this year or later... We have the back-up of our shareholders to fund this fight." If they "have" to do Fallout 6?..You can just feel the deep seated love this guy has for the series, I can tell he greatly respects it as a body of work and not as a mere cashcow.

An open ended Terminator RPG set during the extermination of humanity has the potential to ****ing rock, though I fear the series has been damaged beyond repair in recent years. The Terminator games Bethesda made were great as I recall, though I actually played them when they were released so the memory is old and rose tinted.

Yes, those nasty horrible men from Bethesda, intentionally screwing with everything good, holy and right in our perfect world Still, New Vegas rocks, I ended up buying two copies, one boxed and one on Steam so I could play it early. Thanks Obs

Hm, according to the Bethsoft forums a few things have been removed from the article. "For some reason, a couple bits about random encounters of assisting giants track a mammoth and fighting off dragons with some soldiers was removed." Curious

What? Oblivion just had these simple lines for the PC where you just said "sword!!!" or "John Smith!!!" like some kind of vocabularily handicapped retard. Nothing like the dialogue wheel of BioWare. or do you mean a dialogue system that doesnt give away your exact reply word-by-word, instead giving shortened options like "havent seen it." I'd guess the latter option, though Bioware haven't quite stripped it down to single words yet. *edit* I hadn't actually thought about whether Bethesda are going the "Wikipedia" route with Skyrim's dialog, I can't decide what I'd prefer after becoming used to it.

Some might consider it shameful but Oblivion was my first RPG, outside LoTR I was pretty adverse to the whole wizards and warriors shtick but I'd always loved games that allowed you some freedom to roam, for what ever reason the Elder Scrolls world sucked me in and I was sold, fair enough I quickly found out the game was broken but Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul managed to remove most of the derp factor from the mechanics and gave me a game I played for years. Since then I've chewed through most of the classic RPGs and become a bit more worldly, I'll be holding Bethesda to a higher standard with Skyrim but I'm fairly confident the world will be solid, it's the writing I'm more concerned about. On a side note I thought Shivering Isles was bloody brilliant, every dungeon was worth seeing.

The HDR lighting seemed to work roughly as they described, maybe not as slow or extreme but that's possibly a good thing, on the subject of faces I think a lot of them were fine, especially in good lighting, most of them were terrible though, when the first and arguably most important character you meet face to face is butt ****-ing ugly you know something is broken. Those Radiant AI demo's were a complete conjob though, the new Radiant Story system leaves me feeling cold.
