  1. That was quick.I'm adaptable. I also hadn't had the time to watch them, so was going just from what I'd read...
  2. Ok, watched some of the videos and cautious optimism has returned.
  3. I'm having a bout of pessimism and am pretty much agreeing with you.
  4. When you reach the absolute top of the pyramid, the rules suddenly start breaking. The nicest, coolest and most down to earth girls I've ever known are also the most beautiful ones. 3-9 are total bitches and 10 I was planning on marrying Not sure that makes grammatical sense, old boy. Probably not, I was going to write something else before, then changed my mind and was lazy on the tablet... :D

  6. Oh, you mean the perspective that we have the better machines for "proper" gaming, but still have to put up with those annoying console people? I was thinking of the "cheaper games, fewer buyers, yet still expect special treatment" perspective, but that works, too :D
  7. I'm thinking PC gamers should be physically slapped in the face every now and then, so they could put it into perspective a bit more.
  8. Was this fan made or official? While I'm sure you've already googled this, it being the obvious way of finding out something like this in seconds, the rpg is an officially licensed product. ;P
  9. Would you say a big part of that is because it is easier to go console to PC than PC to console?I'm not sure if a general rule can be derived from dao, as it wasn't a case if having pc as the lead platform, but as the only platform for most of the development. The console versions were a literal afterthought, and it showed. Had a second paragraph about platforms and features written here, but looks like I was already proven right, so no need.
  10. Correct. Only in the PC version though. Also, the camera in the zoomed out view wasn't locked on a particular character. I think it wasn't at least, but even if it was you could zoom out long enough for it not to be noticeable. I'm pretty sure it did keep a lock on the active character, even when pulled all the way back. I have a playthrough of dao active, but am currently elsewhere. Still, whatever is the lead platform won't be the deciding factor in what features they implement on the pc. Dao on consoles was WAY worse than da2 on pc.
  11. When I transformed myself from average / slightly skinny to bulked up I've not noticed any increase in popularity with women. Maybe I'm simply ugly or I'm an ass. Probably both. Different thing, most women stop caring about looks after their minimum criteria are met. Other things come into play after that.I've always thought that this was a damn shame. I've always been impressed by women who manage to stay fit(or at least doesn't let themselves go to ****) after hitting a certain age and/or having kids. Not what I meant, was talking about how much a man's looks generally matter to women. My ex (THE ex) looks about as good as she did when we were together now that her kid's almost 2. I sure know how to pick them, smart, driven and ruthless
  12. What the main platform is has **** all to do with how far the camera pulls on pc.

  14. Have they got multiplayer working for the first bg:ee yet? They had to pull the whole game for a while due to some disagreement with atari and are going to deploy a long-delayed patch in September, this time after an open (?) beta. They have one group of guys on the engine, which is the same for both games, and another on the content.
  15. Over the past five years my weight's yo-yoed up and down and I can tell you, there's this magic barrier where you go from invisible to most women to the guy everybody flirts with. I'm, of course, distressingly handsome and socially adept, just occasionally a fat ****.
  16. The only thing I missed from ME1 in the later games was the Mako. Oh, and the Spectre weapons! :D
  17. Dao had the worst crog villain of all time, remember? Some did find the plot to be underwhelming because it was so localized and for some just not as interesting (especially compared to the large accomplishments that the Warden achieved). I think on some level people DO like being that big and awesome hero, while hipsters like us are a bit more welcoming of some variation. Though it can be hard to disassociate because a lot of people that disliked the main plot had issues with other elements. Hawke being passive or even just a constant failure was a reasonably common one. Though it was definitely not one of the primary complaints, IMO. Although I find when people are frustrated at some aspects, and in general have a bad taste in their mouth, they will look back on other things and be more critical of them than they perhaps otherwise would have. Similar to those that really like a product, and are willing to overlook similar slights. And yeah, the direct personal element kind of disappears after Act One. It's more a circumstance of Hawke being called upon based on his/her past actions leading to things, but it's definitely not really affecting Hawke's personal story so much, aside from being declared the Champion at the end of Act 2. In other corners of the internet, there were numerous and frequent complaints about how the game "wasn't epic enough". I, obviously, disagree...
  18. That's why I only use it for cases with a demonstrated absence of common sense...
  19. Well, well, time figure out where that ignore tab was, again.
  20. or we've traced the origin of Walsies infamous back problems...
  21. It should fix some of the broken things in da2 and awakening even for pc gamers if necessary. Really glad about this, as it saves me around 400 hours of my life to not do two completionist runs of dao and da2 due to lost saves and gives me platform flexibility as I've been playing the da games on my pc, which would need a major overhaul to get me anything cool out of the new engine... So, yay.
  22. I actually stopped caring many years ago what people thought - truth is, I'm a human. I have seen no evidence of that. After all these years? *sigh* Yep, no evidence of humanity. I do believe the rest...
