  1. There really is nothing like full auto. Old Kalashnikov knew what he was doing, when he set it for one-click full auto, two-clicks semi auto.... :D
  2. Woke up at six AM to watch the end of the game, saw the score 7-34, went back to bed. Caught the first 10 minutes or so while having breakfast, and Seattle were creepy good. Well, could be worse, Seahawks (and the 'niners) are my backup teams to support, anyway.
  3. Two of the best looking women I know (one is a medical doctor, the other one a former model turned nurse) work with people who have eye problems. I wonder how many people hope that all women are going to look as good as the one they see first after a procedure. Or is it a field where the ladies feel they will be left most at peace, because their patients are blind?
  4. Out of curiosty, what are the mods you consider essential for you experience? For me it's mainly fix-packs and tweaks, plus some Weimer stuff like Tactics (ahahaahahaa improved Chateau Irenicus is hilarious). Unfinished Business is essential, as is aVENGERS thief mod. Dave Gaider's re-worked ToB endgame, Ascension and Redemption (one is a fan mod iirc) always get added. I like mods that add tougher challenges, improve scripts and AI and add more loot. I'm currently playing the whole saga with an anti-paladin (part of the tactics mod) and my own evil party made with MP and cut-and-pasted into the single player saves folder. Shadowkeeper is also a no-brainer. Basically, I've played it so much now I like to play as gonzo as possible with weird party / npc combos or themed parties with lots of OTT powaz and loot. Even though 2E AD&D is stoopid, it's still 10x richer than current rulesets and allows for lots of tinkering. And (please listen, PE devs) you can make bad decisions and gimpy characters. My sub-optimal Jester playthrough was enormous fun, for example. Well, the latest version of unfinished business is already compatible with the EEs. There's also a new version of Shadowkeeper, EEKeeper, that is already functional and that they are looking at making multiplatform, too. But yeah, Ascension apparently isn't yet.
  5. Besides, everybody knows that the Turks kept raiding present-day Ukraine to fill the harem for a reason.
  6. Out of curiosty, what are the mods you consider essential for you experience? (See, I can multipost, too!)
  7. They've done a lot of externalisations to make modder access easier, as well.
  8. I think my utter inability to watch dr who is due to "tardis" sounding like some kind of word for retard in Swedish.
  9. I'm positively surprised by the realism of all the people participating in this discussion (nobody has suggested even the possibility of heavy manual work).
  10. I doubt it would have been even noticed by the league, had the niners not made such a colossal fuss out of it. That's the way it often works out in courts, people who are whiny, disruptive or enter not guilties into stuff they were caught red-handed doing often get a little extra...
  11. 'Niners to be renamed forty whiners due to still bitching about the Saints loss. Redskins breathe sigh of relief.
  12. Interesting day, the other guy got disbarred. (Or kicked out and refused permission to represent in that particular case, with the note that further disciplinary action is to be expected).
  13. Time to dust off: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dungeons_&_Dragons_Immortals_Rules :D No, seriously, though, the wheel's already been invented with Murder in Baldur's Gate, it just needs to be put into good use.
  14. I had enough self preservation to skip both of those in the first place :D
  15. I've played games that are too long, with Dragon Age Origins at the top of that list.
  16. The pnp adventure I mentioned right above your post is another continuation of the bhaalspawn story. Could very well form the starting point for bg3, having both Bhaal and Baldur's Gate as central aspects.
  17. Probably d&d next, though they've gotten ecumenical in their old age: the recently released Murder in Baldur's Gate pnp module comes with 3.5e, 4e and NEXT statblocks.
  18. My memory has distilled them into their feeling that Bioware was moving too far from what made their games special. I don't necessarily fully agree, but it's what makes me fairly convinced they'll be as conservative as conservative can be in the type of game they make.
  19. Yep, I like to use it as an example of what dlc is at its best (along with Shadow Broker and Citadel), when I can. Ie. ties in with the story - over multiple games in all three, I'd say, improves on what they had, fills in empty spots or fixes clear mistakes.
  20. Originally, they were looking at something along the lines of what PE is using, I believe, but that was before they had to rewrite a bunch of core systems for infinity - I have no idea what their current plans are, but I think you'll be looking either at their rewritten infinity or 3d characters on 2d backgrounds. Considering the collective reasons stated by the Overhaul people for leaving Bioware, I doubt they'd do what you're suggesting here. And, so far, the worst thing I've heard said about Overhaul's writers was something along the lines of them not being quite as good as Bioware as at their prime. Let's face it, nobody apart from Obsidian's people are. Still leaves room for being better than anybody else.
  21. Yep! Only managed that once, tbh, but that one was studying business administration... Talk about hidden depths.
  22. Good decision. Your old versions will be less buggy What? Or should I go full volourn, "why do you lie?"
