  1. the thing is, if it is simple a proof-of-concept prototype for the propulsion system, wouldn't you mention that point? maybe you is correct and us navy/marines is so unconcerned 'bout contested beaches that they can have pilot's wheelhouse as exposed as possible and makes so troops and vehicles disembark from the bloody back of the silly thing. HA! Good Fun! It might have been to complex a concept for the person reporting. Certainly looks from the way its written. Or it's my other point.
  2. Agreeing with Gromnir, but like Wals I'm thinking this one's mostly to test out the propulsion/pump money out of the decision makers. Or it's just that they haven't had a proper contested beachhead since, well, er, Incheon, and I'm not sure even it qualifies (and we'd go back to Overlord)...
  3. am curious where shady were taking pictures. colorado, yes? am seeing ski lifts in background, but in colorado that hardly narrows things. am kinda into purchasing real estate and while most everything we own is in CA, we were considering taking advantage o' some o' the cheapy property available near pueblo, co. nevertheless, am curious 'bout your pictures... we honestly only know colorado for ski destinations such as vail, aspen, winterpark, etc. HA! Good Fun! ps pueblo reminds us much of sacramento, ca. is arid and bland and you ain't far from mountains. you got a smallish state college in town. dunno. we like value, but it were perhaps too familiar. Those were taken in Crested Butte, CO I've always been a fan of cresting buttes.
  4. GTs, cuba libres, cranberry vodkas and stuff i forget. Before midnight, all the girls started looking like Raithe's posts in the hopefully attractive women thread, leading to a realization that I am very, very drunk and about to wake up next to a rhino unless I go home, leading to a hasty exit. Now I'm sorta thinking there might have been a fashion week here nobody'd told me about.
  5. And since it's Walsingham above me, I wish I knew more people who look like this when hung over
  6. But the GTA V torture scene was a political statement. Here it's just part of the story. I'm sorry, have you played the game since you are able to comment on its context?
  7. I'm interested, if that lady is a ho how do you refer to the boss? Pimp, obviously.
  8. Oh, look, I've been neglecting this thread... So, on the "Off-Season activities front", last week my Helsinki Roosters won the inaugural IFAF champions' league: http://www.americanfootballinternational.com/helsinki-roosters-win-inaugural-ifaf-champions-league-tournament/ And so far this week Jimmy Graham's signed a four-year record-money tight end contract: http://www.americanfootballinternational.com/helsinki-roosters-win-inaugural-ifaf-champions-league-tournament/
  9. Or "I was slowly starting to feel human again..."?
  10. Yeah, there's those people who feel terribly neglected and insulted by the fact that their attorney is able to take a holiday while their matter remains unsolved. Also, since practically everybody is on holiday, we're now the recipient of all the crazies wanting to sue the government/UN/EU/reptoids. So, basically this is me right now:
  11. Seriously though, it just means that everybody with any kind of real decision making ability or skill is on holiday.
  12. Nah, I would take her prisoner instead of trying to kill her after seeing that. Very protective!
  13. Hitler was a vegetarian. Yeah, same here, and I'm suddenly the most senior person in the office. Having people come to me for advise is an interesting development. I should have guessed the partners had something up thei sleeves when they made me a senior associate
  14. Confirmation bias in 3... 2... 1... That said, I am expecting passably decent, I'm not sure what the last game I'd rate above that was... Dxhr?
  15. "Haters", what, is this high school ? Overblown by their fans I'd say - who have rather serious mental issues. On an average day, I'd go with junior high.
  16. I'm going to cite this thread as an example of how the romance thing gets overblown, not by Bioware, but its haters.
  17. Unless they are getting a chunk of it on all platforms?
  18. Actually post on Dragon Age? What madness is this? Strange I do not recall ever being referred to as 'Cousland' ever in DA:O or anything other than 'The Grey Warden' so I think you are right. Probably just 'Inquisitor' the whole time. Pretty sure you were referred to as such by Howe and in the origin, too... (edited due to faulty memory)
  19. I know the loud lethality is a bit contrived, but they did it because dead people, unlike unconscious ones, can't be brought back to hunt you down when discovered
  20. And to actually post on, you know, dragon age, from the way they commented on the human last name, I assume it'll be like dao where your last name is set based on your origin (race in this case). So "inquisitor" will be the normal way of referring to you with occasional last name drops for more specifity...
  21. I think that when people assume that a corporate entity has an "attitude", they'll end up in the wrong simply because a corporation is not alive even though it behaves as a living thing. The great Leviathan and as one, made of people who are ultimately who decide and influence said attitude. Without being privy to the internal culture inside BW all we can do is speculate. If I had to point something out it would be the thematic differences in their works, BW has become more about the romances/companion based narrative driven games and Obs keep doing unique RPGs and being awesome at it. Yeah, like World of Tanks. Honestly, I'd like nothing more than for you to be right, but doesn't look like it. Full disclosure: FONV is still the latest Obsidian game I've bought. I have more hours and playthroughs in Alpha Protocol than I have in almost any other game (certainly more than any other non-Bioware game, perhaps apart from Red Alert 2), but I've been feeling a bit left out hanging by their recent work. I have an acute fear that Obsidian is either a) in a crisis b) has lost their way, but there is still Eternity to look forward to. I'm still astounded by the amount of people with a jilted lover syndrome towards Bioware who come to this forum in a seeming competition of who can come up with the most over-the-top bull**** whine for Bioware. "Attitude"'s going to be pretty hard to beat, though.
