Yes, it's absolutely hilarious to everybody who hasn't actually stayed in one of these countries and doesn't understand the difference buildings make. I've lived in southern Europe, with regular 40+c summers for ages, and, as I already mentioned, the 40+ there was quite bearable compared to what 30-35 is in Finland. OTOH, it got really ****ing cold there when temperatures went below freezing, while my Finnish concrete block with triple glazing is quite nice to -30c.

Invoking the right to counsel
What Enoch said + The U.S., apart from the fusion legal system laboratory that is Louisiana, most certainly isn't a "continental" legal system. Neither is the legal process inquisitorial, district attorneys are not officers of the court. It's funny, a lot of continentals have issues with the ECJ and it's activism, which is a lot more reminiscent of a common law type system. That said, I'm happiest reading Lord Denning at his prime, that's how you write a legal opinion.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I CBA to look for the source now, but the big deal was about getting tech synergies between EA studios (using Frostbite when able) and between Bioware teams (using the same tools for all their projects), so all Bioware projects should use Frostbite with their shared dialogue etc. systems.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS
I would pay good money for Grand Theft Effect. Main character a sympathatic, but still criminal Krogan on hard times. Gets dupped into crimes. Breaking into flying cars, punching people, paying for Asari prostitutes. Bioware, take my money now.Genuine interest: I like the idea, NKKK, that would likely be a lot more fun than whatever Bio is actually cooking up. Matter of fact: However, no playable Elcor, no sale.Maybe a playable floating jellyfish could change your opinion? :pThat said, my biggest issue with the Mako was the awful terrain on those randomly generated planets, not the thing itself (and the ME2 replacement was even worse,...) Yep, I found the Mako to be quite entertaining in the main levels, while the Hammerhead failed on all levels. Their current engine should help, at any rate.

This is the biggest load of bollocks I've read in a while.

Invoking the right to counsel
I see a lot of surprise witnesses in smaller cases.Less so defendants collapsing on the stand, but I've seen people walk into holes they should've seen coming.

Nonsense. Not worth spending more than 1000 Euro on a rig anyway, on account of deminishing returns. save the money for another upgrade. Don't you have a monitor that can at least be a placeholder for a nicer one. Spend the whole 1000 on the box. Or ****'s just more expensive in Austria.

Looked really REALLY good, but the run animation still looks a bit funny to me

Marines test new beach assault vehicle
But then they shouldn't call it an "assault craft", should they. I mean, if it's not meant for assaulting... Perhaps their hovercrafts are full of eels?

NFL 2014 Offseason
So, should we get a pool going on how long scrawny Manziell will survive if he starts? I'm currently guessing that he'll be IR'd by Orakpo on week 2, as Lions still have no credible pass rush AFAIK. Saints start training camp today. So pretty much every morning for the next month I'm going to cringe when I see the letters A, C and L in a post. And as this post's news from the Finnish league, European Champions Helsinki Roosters' QB Robert Johnson is out for the season with an unspecified knee injury. Considering he's been league MVP two years running, we're hosed.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
Trust me, nobody'd be happier than me if Eternity sold 1 mil copies (ok, I bet the Obsidian partners would be a lot happier than I am, but, yes), but, well, no. That said, it had fewer backers than I remembered (<74.000 on Kickstarter), so I think some sales are to be expected... but frankly, I have no idea how much past kickstarter projects have sold to non-backers (the few that have been released), so I can't really comment on trends.

Dragon Age: Inquisition
And some, admittedly very few, have realized that you can buy games also after their release month. That said, this doesn't look very good. Either the game's a mess and they are taking all the time they can physically have to finish it into some semblance of shape... or November's less crowded this year than it's been in the last few and they're profiting of it to give their first game on the new engine and after two... controversial ones an extra layer of polish. Still, colour me worried.

Marines test new beach assault vehicle
the current vehicle it is meant to replace (lcac) is designed for speed as much as anything else. arleigh burke class destroyers move at a good clip-- over 30 kn. the lcac tops out near 45kn (our knot to kph conversion is wonky... is that 70kph?) the flipper treadmill thingie will be a 20 kn vehicle. if you is half as fast, you ought to be better protected. HA! Good Fun! 45 knots = 83kph.

What you've been drinking lately.
Seriously, though, there was one girl I knew there, and I used her to calibrate my level of inebriatedness. She might have also just had a really good day, too. Did she take off her glasses and shake out her hair? Because science has proven that this action makes chicks much hotter. Nope, that's the point. The parts of her that look great still looked great, but the other parts looked a lot better than usual :D
