  1. The parliament library always kicks off my dust allergy.
  2. ... and for the European continent, you imperialist.
  3. ... You forgot Guitar Hero from your list.
  4. PC gamer mentioned the disturbingly specific "27 hours". What, like a Jack Bauer thing with a kill switch ? Yeah... IGN sez 25-40.
  5. PC gamer mentioned the disturbingly specific "27 hours".
  6. Coz I make my own work schedule, good games make me want to finish them in one sitting, and I had a Sunday off in June when I had food poisoning - ie. I need a break before I go postal, and poking some people with elbow blades in a game seems like a good idea. (typoedit)
  7. If I wasn't working 100 hours a week, I'd be playing Deus Ex right now. Instead, taking fri-sun off to play HR. Grumble.
  8. Well, that's because of thumbs, innit. If your using your thumbs for something else...
  9. IIRC Sigrun is still potentially bugged in the current version, but I've never heard of the keep falling when fully upgraded.
  10. But that's too proactive, I can barely hold one opinion at the moment, never mind multiple ones.
  11. Well I dunno if Max loved Alex, his wife and kid get it off screen. In any event, they can do it here too, about the only potentially emotionally impacting thing they could do I suppose. Mona!
  12. So, working as usual. The worst part about weekends is that people don't post on forums as much, so I can't flush my brain at regular intervals.
  13. No, that's Max Payne... Both of them, apart from the second one having a cello.
  14. That happens a lot in this forum.
  15. ^^ I have Deus Ex and Baldur's Gate II installed on every computer I own. Always.
  16. Surely you have time to work out a BIT? twenty minute brisk stroll with a notepad? On most days I do just that, but obviously it's not enough... Happily have some muscle relaxants, feeling a lot better now. Gee, thanks.
  17. Chest muscles are so tight been having trouble breathing. It's like I'm running a race against my body, can I finish this thesis and start working out again before it kills me?
  18. This left me curious. Bioware's original success was implementing a real-time combat simulation controlled by M&K to AD&D video game. I can't be the only one who remembers the mass of whining back in the day? How they ruined dungeons and dragons and made it all "twitchy" with RTWP? That turn-based was the only way to implement the stregic elements properly? Well, I do, and it's probably the source of most of my eye-rolling attitude when it comes to the DA2 changes.
  19. I heartily approve of this message. I'm trying to temporarily abandon my thesis and go watch cap'n america next week. Maybe.
  20. Of course you didn't, you craft the potions yourself. Sounds to me like you needed it, if you had to replay the dlc with a different character? DA2 sold tons and, apparently, in the real world a lot of people liked it?
  21. It's actually expanded a bit with some pseudo-sociological theory in the novel. I found it plausible. Not seeing what the issue is here, actually expecting that your customers know the myth? Not going for the LCD?
  22. No! Preserve your innocence. We need people untouched by the horrors of Invisible War in this bright new era of Human Revolution and thinly veiled Greek mythology references. ^^ what he said. I mean, the game isn't so much bad, as just hopelessly mediocre. If it were worse, I might enjoy it more!
  23. Sob. It refers to a woman in the oldest profession (or, considering the connotation possibly a man, too) offering a certain type of service. Gfted1 was definitely in the right... neighborhood. I know I'm deadly in trivial pursuit, but this can't be SO obscure!
  24. Well no - I think anyone would do the same with the project of this size, there is simply way too much at stake to take chances with it. So I wouldn't call it trying new things or preparing the launch differently from other companies, those things have all been done before. The only interesting questions regarding TOR is it's longevity and eventual Blizzard reaction if the exodus from WoW dose take place. It's not like Blizzard position is set in stone and failing to adapt to console gaming may yet cost them dearly. Allright, but I'm still of the opinion that the reason they are not having a public beta isn't the fact that they think the game sucks, which is what I was replying to.
  25. I dunno, I think they're intentionally trying out different ways of testing loads etc. instead of just doing what everybody else is doing. Suspect they also expect that the servers would get absolutely hammered in an open beta, which is why they're also having the "soft" open for people who've preordered. All about not getting everybody on at the same time. Hardly. They are just following WoW model - Blizzard didn't throw an open beta either. When you generate that much hype it's actually counter-productive to allow gamers to extensively test the game. So far all Bioware dose differently is renaming stress tests (beta weekends? seriously?) and allowing early start for pre-orders - all perfectly standard in modern MMO launches. Ok, so you start "hardly" and then everything you say agrees with me? Blizzard still doesn't equal everybody else, or did Bobby Kotick take over the world while I was asleep?
