  1. I had that for a couple of years.
  2. I need one of the in house lawyers to answer this, but can they legally do this? Arrest them for posting on the web. Sure. Well? Well, what? You want me to put it into a sentence? "Sure, they can arrest them for posting on the web." Just the same as, say, putting up posters on the walls. Just because it happens on ze internet, doesn't make it "not real".
  3. Not that there was anything wrong with that since I enjoyed FO3, but I'm left wondering if more than the gameplay carried from ME2 (please not the storytelling). Now i'm reminded of a great example the AC series, you could argue that they all look similar and they do. But each game improves on the problems of it's predecessor, if BW can pull that off with ME3 i'm down with it. Although it feels more that its another experiment paving their way into that ideal game that will allow them to keep their fans and get the COD crowd. In other words; they are looking for the fabled unicorn. So now it doesn't look the same?
  4. Applies to boxed copies sold online, such as by Amazon UK.

  6. yeah. i noticed that too... all the dragon age 2 haters probably had a simultaneous heart attack. Ok I'm back from the hospital (because of my heart attack) Please don't link to stuff like that anymore, you are going to kill me. Seriously though, ME3 feels more like ME2.v3.1 Now you're sounding like the "FONV is just an expansion because it looks similar!" guys. It wasn't very convincing back then, either...
  7. Tail has put me out of commission for far longer periods than that...
  8. I got it instantly. What kind of nerds are you people? We're nerds born after 1990 I'm sorry, I can't hear you children over the creaking of my joints. Also:
  9. I still think that's the worst trailer I've seen Bioware release.
  10. So are you buying the game now? Not for PC. I have PS3 version preordered locally, I'll go see if I can bump that to the augmented edition at this stage. Yes, I occasionally buy multiple copies of a game on release date. I know, I'm going to see somebody about it, but it'll take years until we've covered my relationships. Edit: @Tale: Finland. 99,9% of the time, our versions are indentical with the UK, which is why I didn't even think about it at the time.
  11. Squeenix got back to me fast. UK boxed copies do not work outside UK. ****ers. Well, a huge thanks to this forum, again, for saving me the 26 pounds I would've paid for the PC version for having had it preordered since 2 December. :PPPPP sigh.
  12. Sounds to me like Squeenix simply doesn't care. I'm so close to canceling both my preorders on the game just because they pull **** like this a week before the release, when they've had the game up for preorder for almost a year.
  13. Surely not... If Bioware screw up ME3, I'll be rather upset, they bloosy well screwed up DA2, I don't want them to screw up more. It wasn't the gameplay so much as the crude camera foci on the companions. I couldn't see enough of the gameplay because the demo was simply, as I put it, ****. Also, while I'm on the subject, my absolute favourite fantasy creature has recently been the ****atrice. Ed: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gc-11-mass-effect/719046 Also wrote to squeenix e-mail support. Frankly, if this means my UK preorder from last year isn't going to work for me, I'm going to be pretty ****in' angry.
  14. That's... interesting. Mostly due to the abovementioned EU regulations. Guess I'll have to ring up OHIM.
  15. ... That ME3 demo looked like ****. :I
  16. Yeah, that clarified things up. Not. Oh well, I'll pop in the UK version and see what happens. If it doesn't work, guess I'll have to go all "EU" on them.
  17. And that would be in the interest of Hasbro? I hope I didn't get it wrong. They are still the licence holder, aren't they? They might be risk-averse after their experience with Atari. Someone "hungrier" could create a breakway success, or another Homefront.
  18. 'coz even Atari didn't quite manage to run the D&D license to the ground, so it's much better to hold it than let someone else, this time possibly semicompetent, start printing money with it. Of course, the other alternative is IMO just as likely, they could view their reputation and position as strong enough to not require a licensed IP to prop it up (which is what prompted the original Bioware move inte Jade Empire, Mass Effect and Dragon Age). We'll see what happens, they have a lot of studios now, and DA2 wasn't exactly universally praised.
  19. The big manufacturers are grouping together for some 3d glass standards etc. I'd say that anyone adopting before those become universal is about to get seriously hammered. On a personal level, I have near-perfect vision (including having to dig out a separate table with smaller letters from the storage for my driver's license), and I don't particularly enjoy wearing glasses. 2d is good enough for me, and I'll look at eyefinity type setups long before I'll consider going 3d.
  20. Please cut it up, I'm sure there's enough developers who would pony up for a piece. If I believed in coincidences, I'd say that it's an interesting coincidence that this becomes public on the following week after Bioware gets restructured as a separate publishing label. IIRC EA has a partnership with Hasbro Interactive for casual games, already.
  21. The colour scheme ? Or just some FPS induced nausea ? The latter. The older I get it seems the more susceptible I am to it. Top down is fine (WoW, DS3) and FO:NV was thiiiis close to being ok (if only you could zoom out like 5 more feet) but first person only (Borderlands, TF2) and about an hour in Ill have a pounding headache and a queasy feeling in my stomach. The last time I was playing an FPS on a computer screen (as opposed to a TV screen at a 10' distance), I remember getting some motion sickness too. Suspect Gorgon is on the money, cept that the POV is related to your, the gamer's FOV and not so much what goes on in the game... :/
  22. "said Nightshape, sending his best wishes from the stalker department". Don't be like that, we're talking years ago, I only rememeber the name Pirotess, because she was a character in "Records of the Lodoss War" Well also there was Missy's Lair and BiS forums... You can't believe how hard I try not to be like this.
