  1. http://masseffect.bioware.com/about/extended_cut/ Extended cut releases on Tuesday.
  2. I know that the Bonus Series on each planet can get annoying because you don't want to out level, but you want to do your class quest (and usually new planets just start beating you silly if you don't do the bonus series) I've happily had some leeway in this, since I play so rarely I get the exp bonus practically the whole time.
  3. The only way to do it to pre-book a ticket for a certain time from the web. Gets you in a couple of minutes instead of the hours the regular tourist queue can take. So pissed off from yesterday almost couldn't make it to work today. So I'm sitting here with a headache and hanging on the forums. Probably not much of a difference to no-showing.
  4. It's because Calax doesn't correspond to their picture of a good guy, which is essentially a mix of outlaw biker/lawyer, a sensitive caveman etc. There's something seriously wrong with the western world, in general, and it's really too big a thing to go in here. Meanwhile, I proactively went to chat about my ****ty work situation to our ridiculously gorgeous analyst. The chances of it ever developing into anything are virtually nil, but after the last few years spent grinding on the dissertation, I'm frankly quite happy just practising talking again to somebody who's classy, smart, funny and (last but not least) sexy as hell. Calax: You're right and wrong. Right in that being "nice" has nothing to do with it, wrong in believing that money is essential. It helps, but it's not the thing.
  5. Update: Everybody's going on vacation, so they offloaded all their work to me. Now I have about three months' worth of stuff I'm supposed to do in the two weeks before leaving for my own break, in addition to my own. I love being a contractor!
  6. You haven't played it yet? It is KotOR 3-10. The Sith Inquisitor storyline is better than anything in KotOR 1 & 2. I'm saving up this quote for when I'll be playing the F2P. Why bother, you'll just get bias confirmation that it sucks. Tried some the other day, before had to go to Brussels. Felt fun, even while doing a grindy bonus series, so might still get some mileage out of the game.
  7. Yeah, I was in grad school when I first got the movie snuggles and stuff thing. You know what never helped me get there? Feeling sorry for myself and complaining on the internet. I'm telling you now, so you don't have to learn for yourself in 5-10 years.
  8. I dunno, considering it sold like 3 units, I have a hard time calling it overrated, more like the opposite - even with its flaws.
  9. Germany has traditionally played to win, not to impress, so I'm not discounting them, either. Plus I get tired of the Spanish-fellation that's been going for the past decade or something.
  10. Maybe you should wait until we have info on the game's mechanics before getting depressed about them not being faithful to the PnP mechanics, especially when they're collaborating directly with the man who invented the game? You've been here long enough to not really expect anything else, haven't you?
  11. Moved my character to Red Eclipse yesterday evening, hadn't been online in 140 days. Kind of scared of what's going to happen next.
  12. Text her back and just get a "Oh, everything's fine now" response. Yeah, definitely the kind of individual you want to settle down with, eventually.
  13. Yeah, My server (Rogue Moon) is one of those. Probably migrating this evening and starting to play again over the weekend, Uncharted 3's lost me for the moment.
  14. Everything is a little better with Rob D.
  15. I like some QTE events with my ATM machine and CPU unit.
  16. They could do it a bit more when cyclists are like cruise missiles among pedestrian-sheep. ****ers.
  17. Because you had read the book?
  18. Same graphical and animation quality in a game that presents me with at least a Bioware style illusion of choice? I point to the Eurogamer review of the game for a more thorough look into the complaints I share, some cases of the developers failing to telegraph The One Way result in accidental puzzles that beat any of those actually in the game. + the fact that I'm playing on the easiest difficulty level or something and I need to shoot everybody several times with an assault rifle, ffs.I can only imagine how absurd that gets on regular.
  19. 2nd had probably the most bore'nnoying boss fight I remember having to deal with.
  20. My thoughts are that I didn't understand a single word of the OP.
  21. Just wait for it... it gets more scatterbrained and stupid. I've played the second one, I think my expectations plotwise are pretty much properly calibrated... :D
