1989 Apple Mac SE/30, Motorola 68030/16mhz processor, separate FPU, ethernet etc. Can't remember original spec, but it now has an 80mb drive and 2mb RAM, iirc. Notice "now", we still have it and my dad was using it for word processing at our country house 3-4 years ago. OTOH, I've never actually owned a computer. Most of our electronic gear is owned by my dad's holding company.

As far as I know, the only mac version of KOTOR2 is the pc version in some kind of wrapper... So yeah, still waiting!

*cough* TSLRCM 1.8 *cough* Blah. ??? !!! A mod for my disc and windows bound version is not what I'm looking for.
-
1) Yes there is a right-click context menu 2) hyperbole 3) sure, you can install from disc if you for some perverted reason want to, I don't think I have anything apart from Office which I've actually gotten on a disc (instead of, say, download directly from developer or steam).

While definitely bad. no way I'd consider it "worse".

Huh, at least 2 games I own on Steam've had Mac versions added since the last time I booted the thing (witcher and kotor). Unfortunately NWN2 platinum isn't one of them. Still, any game that doesn't require me booting into an inferior operating system has a considerably higher chance of getting playtime. (Edit: To make the above seem less fanboyish, the final version of Windows I have a license for is XP. Now you'll have to worka bit more for your clever comeback) p.s. WIth all the "EE"s games are getting, KOTOR2 really should be (the) one to get such a treatment.

*starts packing his bags* Though people tend to mistake my accent for "educated upper east coast", so it might be a dud.

Basically maximizing certain specific stats or whatever in favor of others. So basically making something very specialized, compared to an all around character. Noot so much, more a question of of focusing your character build so that it excels in the role you envision for it and dump all the stats/abilities that don't support it. I mean, that's the way CRPGs are played, in general.

Cohiba Siglo IV, and no explanations necessary. (Personally always start feeling like I'm overcompensating if I go with something bigger, but, hey...)

Again, there are so many schools of thought on this. One (which I don't follow, but can see the sense of) is to put the moFo away for three months. That's what I did. Of course, I was writing a dissertation, which is liable to put you into a much more antagonistic relationship with your manuscript. I was also lucky enough to have two professional writers in the family, who could give it "legibility passes". At my end, loving the ipad, is a perfect fit for what I needed and kind of looking forward to commuting Baldur's Gate in a couple of months. The "retina" display is a really nice feature. Now, all I need is proper gaming rig.

The Max Payne movie wasn't complete ****, either. Or it could be that both movies have Olga Kurylenko You're remembering the scene with the red dress aren't you when you say that? *stares into space*

The logic in the interrogations becomes a bit worse later on, but I did enjoy the game.

The only time I tried wearing an ironic t-shirt, it backfired terribly. Yeah, thats true. I just got my daughter (and myself) an iPhone 4 and it barely impacts my bill. I was too cheap to spring for the 4S, so I got the base 4 from Best Buy for $50 each. Suri can go to hell! The only reason I went with a 4S was so I could fit my minimum requirement 60gb of music on it, it was primarily a replacement for my old wheel ipod, anyway.

Heh, watched my cousin's son (around 16) play some ME3 and DA2 the other day, I was in near-physical agony with his total lack of min-maxing.

Eh, voice acting was a major part of Baldur's Gate etc, already. Personally think that the "3d" games like Alpha Protocol, Mass Effect and Dragon Ages really need to be fully voiced. OTOH, partially voiced is a lot less jarring, possibly even better, in isometric BG/IWD type games. Still I did a minor fistpump when Trent Oster said they'd do their utmost to get David Warner as Irenicus and Cummins as Minsc if/when they do new material for them in either one of the games. Talk about iconic voicework.

I know, I've been an Apple user since 1989 (in fact, I've only owned one non-Apple computer in my life). Happy to see the Apple hipster phase seeming to pass a bit, and I don't really have anything against them being mainstream, either. I can't really adopt the same approach I have to, say, purple ties; which means leaving them on the rack for the period of "being in fashion" and the one just following it. Strangely, some of my die hard coder friends have recently gone Apple for their "personal" computers. Meanwhile, I picked up the 3g version of ipad last week on the principle that I'd rather pay 120 extra now than regret not getting the capability for access outside wlans, too. Turned out to be good thinking, since ordered a sim for it today (11 euros/month, unthrottled, unlimited 3g access). Finding it surprisingly useful, the app store has a significant enough user base that you can get a fairly reliable picture of how software performs just based on the user reviews there. Haven't been using much of those on the iphone due to that fact that it's chock full of music, anyway. And yeah, I have no clue if there even is voice recognition in Finnish, still - not that I find that particularly interesting, I prefer not talking in general, anyway

Who're the hipsters now, Samsung?

It still sucks to be EDI though, as she is "tied" to the Normandy and presumably can't leave it (she said something to the effect of her borrowed body had to stay within a certain range of her core on the ship). Joker might start building a tent to live out the rest of his life in. This being space fantasy, they can of course put the Normandy back together and fly off towards the setting sun (I seem to remember seeing that in one of the youtube videos) That's what I got in my ending. Of course, EDI wasn't exactly around for it...

IIRC, Tesla was also totally asexual and spent his time firing electrons and avoiding the rather large contingent of women who were chasing him (women liking nothing more than a guy who totally ignores them, as we all know). Geek.

I dunno, "concentrate"... maybe to get a good mental flushing so he can concentrate? Apart from that, aces.
