  1. Yes, immaturity is the bane of MMO. I tried a trial of World of Warcraft once and got constantly harassed because I happened to play a female character.
  2. The great thing about Oblivion, is that you can. There's freedom to do whatever you want. I often wish this were possible in ME too, when I was wandering around the Citadel.
  3. Err sorry, when I said "force styles" I actually meant "lightsaber forms".
  4. Was Kreia truly a Sith? Kreia was such a great character because she was beyond both the Jedi & Sith. She had experienced and rejected both teachings.
  5. New alien species, yey. I want a Hanar party member - or even better, an Elcor. Would make those half hour conversations between primary missions hilariously frustrating.
  6. But this is only because he has four arms and mechanical wrists that can rotate in a full circle to no end. The most skilled lightsaber combatant without force augmented abilities was either Tulak Hord or Kas'im. But Galen Marek could beat any other lightsaber duelist in a fight. Don't all force styles one way or another rely on force augmented abilities?
  7. I'm not all for completely removing slow-mo... I've experimented a bit with VATS overhaul mods & without the slow-mo one often finds oneself swarmed by enemies which can be brutal against giant radscorpions or similar melee enemies especially when one removes the 'god mode' VATS i.e. enemies doing 100% damage instead of the 10%. Maybe there should be a new option to use AP on slow-mo for those occasional tight moments?
  8. Not to mention, enemies not being alarmed by corpses of their friends' corpses lying around... games like No One Lives Forever already had better AI than this. Also, better pathfinding... sometimes if the PC jumps off a rock or ledge, companions will make a huge detour to get to you; not to mention people are still walking/running into walls like in Oblivion.
  9. Sith & Jedi may have fallen behind in lightsaber techniques, but maybe this was compensated by better training in the Force?
  10. I think enemies should do 100% damage to the PC in VATS, instead of the 10% like it is now; with current VATS, one can simply wait for a charging enemy to get into point blank range, and cue up shots with a powerful weapon for an easy kill as enemies' damage is negligible - even with powerful ones like Yao Guai or Deathclaws. Of course, this makes it possible for the PC to die upon exiting VATS (which I think is the reason why Bethesda included the 10% damage rule), but is this really a problem? At least it would make the use of VATS a bit more strategical. Also, I'd like to see Action Points spent on entering the Pip-Boy during combat - this prevents healing/buffing during combat and should make combat a tad more challenging.
  11. My surname features two "Y" and people have been mispronouncing & misspelling it for as long as I remember. In fact, I'm not 100% sure how to pronounce it myself.
  12. There used to a TV-series a long while back called Kindred: the Embraced which featured some of the Bloodlines clans, but it got cancelled after 10 episodes or so. My experience with these series prompted me into getting Bloodlines.
  13. True, but FO3's story is what it is to introduce new players to the Fallout universe. The Commonwealth is probably going to be central to an eventual FO4, considering how Bethesda always places references to future sequels in their games.
  14. Anything is better than simply following a map marker to somewhere, kill something and fast travelling back to pick up your reward. It must be said that travelling in Morrowind easily became as trivial as Oblivion after a while (mark/recall spells, Divine/almsivi intervention, etc), the difference is that at least Morrowind made it a natural part of the world, not just a cop-out for the impatient by clicking on an icon an a map and appearing at said place after a loading screen.
  15. I can't wait to push back the hordes of Oblivion. Or Blight, whatever it was.
  16. Gizmo, do you think/expect Fallout: New Vegas will look & play like an advanced Fallout 2?
  17. The European Parliament recently rejected this proposal from France.
  18. "Le" France? It's funny how the people who made this law apparently haven't heard about anonymous surfing and encrypted downloading..
  19. Bethesda should sell T-shirts marked with that little conversation. Gotta hand it to them though, those conversations in Girdleshade (sp?) with the "plow her bean field" and all that, were hilarious. Not to mention the Lady Killer/Black Widow ones.
  20. True, but she's one hell of a lightsaberist and is a powerful Jedi, and very attractive and charismatic which equals great Jedi. Indeed, but Darth Talon > Aalya Secura
  21. There's worse than the Fat Man, namely the Hilariously satisfying mod, if you're into that kind of stuff.
  22. I wish you could've kicked that (ungodly annoying) sidekick into spiky spikes. Though there is a certain in-game moment that is tremendously rewarding in that regard.
  23. Fallout 3 had a very diverse voice cast: FO3 credits Compare with Oblivion: Oblivion credits
  24. I think they rather counted on Amata for this, considering the different ways how the quest played out. How many times does one meet the Lyons woman, twice or thrice? Call me sentimental & gullible, but I actually felt bad when Jonas died, and when my character left Amata behind. Probably the first time in any Bethesda game where I felt some genuine attachment to any character. I hadn't expected anything like that from Bethesda before I started the game -- the opening scene of the game was typically brilliant though, right on par with Daggerfall's & Morrowind's.
