  1. Ex-Twitcher 2 producer Tomasz Gop working on RPG with Deck 13 set for release in 2013 Hopefully, it will be Venetica 2.
  2. Strange, Ultima IV, Ultima VII: Black Gate, Ultima VII: Serpent Isle and Ultima VIII are all (still) abandonware, but Ultima V and VI aren't.
  3. I'm playing TES I: Arena which I last played about 15 years ago. It's an amazingly fun dungeon crawler, and interestingly it uses an experience based system and has a level cap of 20. Not to mention like in D&D there are weapon and armour limits for the various classes, e.g. a mage cannot wear any armour at all and only use daggers and staves. This is a stark contrast with the retarted learn-by-doing system introduced in Daggerfall, which essentially made your character invincible after 6 levels (if you knew what you were doing). I really am wondering who in Bethesda came up with the learn-by-doing system... I'm thinking it was Todd Howard, considering he came in to work on Daggerfall.
  4. Some information on DX:HR comic here: http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=114143 I wouldn't be surprised if it gets molded into a future DLC.
  5. Planning on getting it when it's for sale. Of all the exotic factions in WH40k, it's a pity they picked the most boring and generic one to play with.
  6. Considering how much of a hassle it was to pick up the dead companion's stuff, then hike back to a temple, I did the same. Thank God for Rod of Resurrection in BG2.
  7. YES, YES and OH YES
  8. What about those Deus Ex comics from Dark Horse? What do those add to the game?
  9. When BioWare are widely considered as masters of storytelling, you know that the bar can't be very high. Compare with the 80s, where Infocom held the crown or the 90s with all those excellent adventure games from Legend Entertainment, LucasArts and Sierra.
  10. There were spells in Arena to destroy walls and floors, so the dungeons had to be huge and complex.
  11. In TES I: Arena there was this huge dungeon in the middle of Skyrim, aptly named Labyrinthian, where you need to pick up a piece of the Staff of Chaos. I wonder whether it will be in TES V. It should be.
  12. Finished the game in 29 hours. I really enjoyed the first part of the game, but after Montr
  13. If there's more than just Orcs to kill, I might get it.
  14. [intelligence] So you fight the Good Fight with your voice on a holotape?
  15. Problem, modern action games?
  16. By spamming the triple batclaw attack you can knock all suckers down. If you time it correctly, they'll get fried.
  17. This is actually one of the few games where quest markers and all the other handholding make sense. Jensen has a computer stored in his brain/eyes. Same could be said for Fallout 3 with the PIPBoy.
  18. Well, the plot takes a huge nose-dive after Heng Shai/Heng Shan/whatever. Gotta love cutscene-induced stupidity.
  19. He reminded me of the end-boss of Wolfenstein 3D.
  20. I beat the first boss dude by throwing all the gas cannisters conveniently placed all over the room in his face. He seemed immune to gunfire.
  21. I thought DRB thugs were non-augmented?
  22. Jensen sounds like Christian Bale doing his Batman voice. I'm starting to warm to the guy. I don't like the gameplay much, though. Gunplay feels very sluggish and stealth just isn't my thing. It's very easy to abuse the AI as well. Enemies act like retarts after you've downed one or two of their buddies.
  23. I saw Green Lantern recently, I liked it less than Thor. Acting was pretty bad and the ending fight with Parallax was stupid. I really liked Mark Strong as Sinestro, though.
  24. Berserk
