  1. Bethesda has always been good at listening to their fanbase and trying to fix what went wrong with their games. Oblivion was just a case of over-fixing. Let's face it, similar to CoD games they could just churn out another Oblivion clone and it would sell just as much. But they don't, and that's commendable.
  2. Finished Prince of Persia, though in reality it should've been called Fable 3: Oriental Edition. Pretty bad game overall and definitely worst PoP game of all time.
  3. Kinda puts CD Projekt fapping to 1 million sales in perspective.
  4. Some PAX footage
  5. Oblivion had a fine soundtrqck Peace of Akatosh
  6. Unless a mod exists, the 'problem' with DS2 is that you need to finish the game twice to unlock the highest difficulty setting and gain access to five party members. First time you play you can only take along three.
  7. She makes me think of Sis from Alpha Protocol. Wasn't she going to be blond?
  8. Can't you defeat them with words, forcing them to commit suicide after picking the red or blue option, like in Mass Effect?
  9. Prince of Persia 1? You also had to finish it in one hour.
  10. I had this game pre-ordered but couldn't be bothered to pick it up today. Maybe next week. Maybe I'll try an unarmed/social build. That's possible, right? I'm sick of stealth and cover-shooter mechanics.
  11. Not to be a spoilsport, but DA2 > ME2.
  12. I've been playing some old Dynamix and Microprose adventures, but also gave that 2008 PoP game a try. I'm glad I could pick it up extremely cheap, because early impressions are very bad. About the only good thing about the game so far is that it looks really good, despite no graphical settings being present in the game menu, what's up with that? Combat is a dull Fable-like button mashing affair without any risk of dying because of the magical chick that saves your butt if you screw up. There's also constantly prompts on the screen to push buttons during combat and the like, very distracting and annoying. Platforming is ok, but the camera is pretty terrible, making it hard to know where to go next and turning the whole thing into a trial-and-error affair more often than not although again, the magical chick saves your butt if you fall to your doom. For some reason, for all her omnipotent-ness she still needs to jump on the Prince's back for some reason, which again is pretty distracting. Also, having to collect 60 orbs of light after killing a boss in order to continue... real fun. Perhaps the Prince calling out to Farah in the beginning of the game, and Farah turning out to be a donkey rather than the nubile Princess of old, is symptomatic of the game as a whole compared to its predecessors of the same company.
  13. fixed
  14. I want to be a Breton.
  15. Forgot to mention: it's nice how in the expansion archery and two-handed weapons suddenly become "awesome". As useless as Oghren was in Origins, the little guy's an unstoppable juggernaut in Awakening. Nathaniel did 200 damage a shot just by activating Accuracy. High-level dual wielding talents suck in comparison, though it's funny killing a Revenant in five seconds with Unending flurry.
  16. I for one will try everything in my power to fail at saving the universe.
  17. I finished Dragon Age: Awakening. The game's a bit of a mess (to say the least). I fully upgraded my Keep and thinking it well defended I chose to save the city of Amaranthine in the end, yet after all said and done according to the map and journal the Keep and everyone in it still died... forcing me to reload and let the city be burnt to the ground in order to save my Keep I had spent so much time and effort in (but, admittedly, the siege part was very well done). In the end, though, it was worth for the ending slide alone which mentioned my Elf warden having sacrificed the city on purpose out of revenge. Sigrun's and Viconia's Velanna's personal quests never triggered either. Pity, because I liked them.
  18. Gamescom interview with Pete Hines
  19. DA2 combat can stay, as long as it's made more deadly. In DA:O one enemy mage could easily whup your entire party, in DA2 enemies were merely HP sinks. The only sporadic danger to your party were Qunari mages and Carta assassins.
  20. I want it too, but Arkham City comes out before that to keep the waiting more palatable.
  21. I realize you're sarcastic, just wanted to post that again for its sheer ludicrousness
  22. I never found any of that stuff in any shop or loot (not that I really needed it either).
