  1. I know it had to happen sooner or later but Hitler's comments about Treasure Goblins are priceless.
  2. ^ Because MMOs suck donkey balls?
  3. Just make one up.
  4. Will piut you on later, will be up late hrs GMT on nightmare. Tigs it too cool for skool, he's on hell. I suck at Diablo. I'm not even up to Act 2 on normal yet...you guys will be way ahead! BB, no drama, I've got a load of characters I need to get through normal.
  5. I want to open a crystal-meth / memory hacking factory with my pimp-cyborg assassin character.
  6. Will piut you on later, will be up late hrs GMT on nightmare. Tigs it too cool for skool, he's on hell. I suck at Diablo.
  7. Go TN's Mom, GO!!!
  8. Don't fancy waiting for the new improved BG2 that they're working on? I thought that was BG1?
  9. I'm thinking of getting BG2 on GoG then I'll never have to worry about where my discs are ever again. Is the GoG version patched to the last one so it's good to go mod-wise?
  10. Just beat four very good Allied players (up to level 14/15) in a CoH 4 v 4 and got promoted to Level 12 (Panzer Elite). Never thought I'd see the return of Kanga spam but this dude tried and mangled my Panthers. Tried the Hummel heavy arty for a change and lots of booby-traps... usually go tank hunter or luft in MP games but it worked out OK.
  11. I thought I'd share a character class with you, a little peak of the juicy gaming pianata that is (Advanced) Fighting in Tunnels The Sapper Races: Any except Hobbits, because Hobbits live in pansy forests and have birthday parties and go on adventures with elves (yuck). Dwarves make good Sappers and receive a +10% Exp. bonus for the first three levels of their career. Hit dice per level: 2d6 The Sapper (SAP) is a tough, resilient dungeon explorer, engineer and an excellent addition to any tunnel-fighting team. Skilled in disarming traps, opening locks, first aid and identifying dangerous stonework, the sapper needs a good STRENGTH, AGILITY and SENSE scores (no less than 10). As they advance in power and skill, Engineers may opt to specialise in healing technologies and alchemy or tunnel engineering, traps and locks. All sappers can dig through tunnels, with the right tools, at twice the rate of any other character. Weapon skills: From their early days as a Sapper's Apprentice, Sappers are drilled in the use of small weapons ideal for fighting in confined spaces. They receive an incrememtal, level-based bonus with daggers, short swords, hand axes, the Cestus, clubs and light maces. They normally eschew missile weapons, but may use them if they wish. EXAMPLE SAPPER LEVEL PROGRESSION (1-3) 1st Level - Apprentice Sapper - HD 2d6 - No attack bonus. Skills: +1 Spot trap / disarm trap / tunnel-sense / digging 2nd Level - Tunneller - HD 4d6 - Attack bonus +1 with class wepaons. Skills:+ 1 first aid 3rd Level - Tunnel explorer - HD 6d6 - No attack bonus (received every other level). Skills: May choose 1 skills point to add to any two skills
  12. I suspected you were a man of taste and a proper role-plaeyer. The initial release of (A)FiT will be by Q4 of this year and will be free. Once addicted to the gaming opium that is (A)FiT you will then pay through the nose for a series of completely original adventures where you fight increasingly powerful giants (in tunnels) before moving to the UnderTunnels (or the tunnels below the tunnels). There might be one with a spaceship too. I am completely serious. The core rulebook (using my proprietary 'd6 system') will be released free, gratis and for nothing. That way some of the whippersnapprs here can sink their milk teeth into some meaty old-skool goodness, back to the days when dictator-like GMs (or, in (A)FiT Tunnel Masters) made rules up on the fly and you'd get through six player characters in one session before deciding to adopt the last surviving henchman as your PC. And every party hada PC called Bob. Excited? You bet!! Yours in Tunnels, E. Monte Carlax
  13. At level 34 on NM I found my first legendary item, a pair of gloves that dropped from a blue mob in The Cathedral. They're OK-ish but oddly have different class-based abilities (i.e. mine helps out a Demon-hunter more although I can wear them).
  14. I'm now level 35 Bbn playing on Nightmare. All of a sudden, Diablo 3 feels like the game it was meant to be. Choosing kit and skills suddenly becomes far more important. There's even (gasps) an element of tactical thinking required. And the gonzo, visceral, utterly silly feeling of spamming obscene powaz in the middle of massive monster mobs is even more fun that before. Now, if I could find a weapon with a DPS of more than fifty....
  15. Hello. As you well know, the qunitessence, the existential raison detre of role-playing is Fighting in Tunnels. Everything else is wet, pansy, emo bollocks. Role-Plaeyers have been for many years baffled and seduced by inferior, lesser products than those included in the official Advance Fighting in Tunnels
  16. Still playing D3, a little with Hurlie then later on Tigs helped me pop my boss-battle with Diablo cherry. It was emotional. Finished it on normal as a level 33 Bbn.
  17. Update: Went for the ASUS PA246Q monitor as per Pidesco's strong suggestion and upgraded to 2TB of memory. I have two SSDs and the GeForce 670. The whole thing is going to be overclocked, of course Will let you know how the delivery and installation dramas turn out.
  18. It's an old-skool take on early cyberpunk, so it's more crunchy than the later stuff. In the RPG (PnP) you had some genuinely cool character builds and the setting was pretty cool.
  19. I'll be online in a bit!!! US Server
  20. I am already intrigued and almost happy. Thanks for the news. This sounds like my day-job.
  21. Pidesco - ty will research the options on the monitors. I will definitely take your word for it.
  22. Humanoid - good shout on PSU I'm asking that question. I'm easy about speakers, I'm with Spider on that one. Spider, I'm asking for a TB of memory, of course you are correct. I'm an old-skool gamer, I have shedloads of old games installed on the hard drive and I like it that way! This build came in a bit under budget - I can afford the memory so I'm going for it. To be fair, the guys at Cyberpower are very helpful and nothing appears to be too much trouble. I'll keep you updated as I go through the process. Cheers MC
  23. By the way, tech dude agreed on overclocked 670 GeForce which is the route I'm gonna go.
  24. Has a long chat with the guy at Cyberpower, who was very hlepful. He was in broad agreement with your views on chip versus memory and suggested this build... (based on their Liquid i7 Kraken but tweaked with an i5 chip) http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/system/Liquid_i7_Kraken/ This case is much, much nicer though IMO... and it's very quiet http://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/spec/getspec.aspx?n=CAS&v=CoolerMaster%20Cosmos%20Silent%20Gaming%20Tower%20Case%20w%2F%20420%20Watts%20Power%20Supply%20%28Full%20Tower%29%20%28Original%20Color%29 CAS:CoolerMaster Cosmos Silent Gaming Tower Case w/ 420 Watts Power Supply (Full Tower) [+4] (Original Color) CASUPGRADE:NONE CD:24X Double Layer Dual Format DVD
  25. Thanks guys, there is some food for thought there. So what you are saying is that I can scale the CPU back to an i5 but beef up the memory to SSD and 1 TB HDD? The options are there on the site when ordering. I agree that 128GB seems small, I have a lot of photos and music.
