  1. Like the good quote from Futurama - "When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all"
  2. Fun morning of winding up a coworker, so now settling in to work on my TPS reports.
  3. Quite right: since this is a game, there's even less (reasonable) obligation than usual to have to "interact" with NPCs than usual, eh? Look at you Barti, catching me out with logic Fair enough, but what about missing out on side quests or content related to Romance? Do you really want to deny yourself extra gaming time just because of an aversion to Romance, if you think about it honestly Barti you will realize I'm right Well in ME, there's none. The "romance" is just them banging you before the Final Mission and/or some maudlin stuff in the case of the Final Final Mission.
  4. Funny how Sarex is the common link in both discussions, tells you something about his debating etiquette Uh huh, amusing from you. Anyway, what's the issue now ? Piracy damage to the industry ?
  5. I would prefer oby.
  6. And even better if you're smart and wait until they're on a sale like Steam or GOG.
  7. Hm, just like the Ukraine thread, in a way
  8. Hm, wonder if the industry will fail sometime soon then.
  9. Have to think the big sellers get pirated more heavily than the others too.
  10. Hm, I see what you mean, I guess they differ but not in a significant degree to me, but alright. I'm relatively indifferent to it, it hasn't wrecked the industry and is also hard to gauge the "damage" anyway (as it's hypothetical would they buy it and at what price). That and doesn't really affect me that much. Consumers getting keyed up over it does cause a chuckle sometimes.
  11. Try wrapping your head around this chestnut: People pirating Humble Indie Bundle sales. What's special about that ? People pirating demos were the funniest thing, I found. Those two do seem to be the same thing - you want some company to make money still in either case, no ?
  12. Hm, you'd think that revenues wouldn't be growing then in that situation.
  13. The free stuff does include latest stuff from Reloaded or some DVD rips though, so not really mind boggling that people will go for that. As one of you lot said, the reason is that paying nothing is better than paying something for some people, simple. Ah well, usual outrage over piracy.
  14. Graphics porn - http://www.pcgamer.com/uk/2014/06/04/dragon-age-inquisition-screenshots-show-new-environments-also-the-fade/
  15. Malc you have to admit its always better playing an RPG where you can explore the various Romance arcs? Not really. Hardly my first run through ME2 and the romances when I bothered to try them didn't add much to it. I think I'll bump off Jack and Jacob and Legion, should make the ME3 game a little bit different.
  16. Roberts produced something
  17. It's that tricky to understand that for some the temptation to just get it off Kat/Demonoid exists and is enhanced if there's some BS with getting it legitimately ?
  18. Some Firefly fan will do it, eventually, those people are loons.
  19. On to ME2, I think I might just bail knowing Daddy Issue Missions await.
  20. Get the sense he'd be wasting the effort if he did.
  21. Hot weather here so saying goodbye to the idea of fresh air for a while.
  22. We did that with diskcopy for DOS stuff, was fun to photocopy (and pay to do do this sometimes) the manuals to get the copy verification codes
  23. Well, good for the people getting the money. As for boding well for future games... heh.
  24. Not all bad though, technically abandonware is piracy no ? Did laugh when I saw a release of 7th Guest a while back. Kind of scratched my head wondering who could possibly be looking for a decades old game.
  25. Dives worthy of South American football.
