  1. Out in a pub, is amazingly loud in here. On the bright side the panini I got was massive for the money
  2. Lucky the kid didn't have a gun when they drove up, he could have shot them dead, heh.
  3. That's pretty much my husband's standard answer, as well. Hm, a rather unscientific test here shows FF loads it a bit slower than Chrome (my FF has about 85 tabs open now).
  4. So opinions are only valid from other cops then, eh ? Heh, do love the "you wouldn't know what it's like" mantra cops truck out at times like this - or worse times when they kill people armed with staplers, or contained on a streetcar. If they screw up, well they screw up and should get screwed to a wall. Hey man, cops get afraid. Afraid very easily it seems (remember the Dorner situation when they almost blew away two old ladies after thinking it was Space Marine Dorner coming for them?)
  5. Bah, what good is a pretty person if they can't get into a good fight!
  6. CS:GO is tempting at that price, feeling the urge to get back into MP FPS
  7. Taking the wingman policy seriously, I see.
  8. I thought Swedes were genteel folk. Bofors and Saab aside.
  9. Now I am thinking of seeing office emails of "Who's up for coke and drinks after work tonight?"
  10. Can be fun exercise for the mind and a good way to learn some new things based on the ammunition and technique used. Brilliant stress relief in person though, not so much online though, friend and I used to have screaming raging arguments back in Uni that we used to laugh about afterward whereas onlookers expected us to break into a fistfight.
  11. Fair enough, wouldn't hurt to try. What do you about dealers though ? I guess they are to be prosecuted the same as now ?
  12. I imagine almost all of the registered users on this forum are actually real people. I suppose we have a few bots (that Google(1) user seems suspect)
  13. You kind of are, with your depiction of America under your idea with people seeing cops as friends who keep the peace and so on. Or at the very least, fairly optimistic. Some people are just trash, after all. So it'll just fix problems for drug users, I guess it may save money over all - rehabilitation for a select few is cheaper than prosecuting and jailing them. At least in terms of direct expense.
  14. Not going to help them out that much though, some cocaine addict may not be harming others, but he'll grow up and end up as someone useless to society and to himself. When cops do need to intervene in your scenario, though, it's not going to be much different than now, they're still aiming to toss you in someplace. And that guy can still be a gangbanger in the cops eyes, or a mugger or some other kind of crook once being a druggie is out of the equation, and likewise the people will still distrust the police as much as they do now. Perhaps in 50 years or so that might change though if they decided to change the stance on drugs, but I am doubtful such a utopia will present itself.
  15. Ah I see, seems reasonable. But if cops are rounding you up for rehab, they'll still have to prowl through the community for users which will be seen just as bad as they're going to take you to some place ignoring your will, so arrests will still be as difficult as they would be otherwise.
  16. Was a well made fan video
  17. So when you say the drug war ended what are you envisioning, by the way ? Doubt that'd do much to fix the problem of blacks in US society.
  18. My browser chokes when I try to open the Music thread here, haven't tried it in Chrome. I assume it is Adobe's fault.
  19. Had rallies here too, which was surprising as it's another country. I guess a fault of the media making this trial a large issue(people show up for this, but blacks are getting killed quite often here and zilch for that). One of the people here did make a good point about it being more about how blacks are excluded from society (though would have to think on a case by case basis with that, some people are just trash, after all).
  20. Well we were talking about pictures versus arguing, as (sadly) we can't summon these ladies off the screen. If I were in Iga's presence (and she was inclined or somehow otherwise obligated to interact with me socially) arguing would be a secondary concern.
  21. So no indictment in Ferguson, hopefully no full on riots.
  22. Arguments are amazing, gets the blood pumping. Is probably the most enjoyable thing I do, maybe after the thrill of fixing a difficult software bug - not exactly the fixing of it, but there's point between the time I fix it and the time I get the trail of it, sort of the brief moment before I run it to ground so to speak. Wondrous feeling.
  23. You went for the Control ending in ME3 didn't you.
  24. Check the bourgeoisie, here.
