  1. Afaict, literally only life and death situations receive that urgency and that makes sense. For the vast majority of cases its "get in line, chump". I can certainly see the appeal in "free" medical care, hell I want "free" everything and to retire and spend my time day drinking and fishing. But lets not pretend its nirvana. Hm, at least here even things like MRI scans on backs, knees, etc. don't have that long a wait, at least anecdotally and I'm in the most populous province and city in the country. Don't think anyone thinks it's a utopia but rather that it's better than what you have now. Doubt it'll change much, Americans' view of society is fairly different than other places.
  2. "Look, we cured his leprosy in one day! HUZZAH!" This must mean all the more common and populous ailments are equally solveable! *nodnod* Likewise it's kind of silly to harp on lower priority tasks as that doesn't indicate much. But long times for higher priority tasks indicate failing in the system.
  3. If you want the smallest sample size, yes. Well, it'd be more suitable to look at if you're trying to take a shot at another system.
  4. Wouldn't it be better to look at the higher priority wait times?
  5. Well, assuming the automated recognition can be trusted (and the authorities even care about that), not sure tasers would work well with a multi barrel set up, the cables can get tangled up well. They should just provide the teachers with flashbangs.
  6. The theme song from that movie sure had a long reach.
  7. Would be have been funnier if the patient had a real gun on him
  8. I'd say it's more akin to thermal detonator threat https://www.cnsnews.com/blog/michael-w-chapman/marxism-again-south-african-parliament-votes-seize-land-white-farmers I will give the new guy some credit and its a game afoot. Saw an article claiming most S. Africans don't really care that much about it and this EFF party has a bit of a history of this kind of shenanigan.
  9. I dunno, it's useful to completely breeze through phase 1 of the B&W boss.
  10. Ah, you beat me to it. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2018/02/28/pennsylvania-church-ceremony-guns/383815002/ "The church, which has a worldwide following, believes the AR-15 symbolizes the “rod of iron” in the book of Revelation, and encouraged couples to bring the weapons" Kind of fitting I'm listening to Manowar's Guyana right now..
  11. Seems like the ANC is trying the mother of all flashbangs with this.
  12. It seems to be more of a visual difference than a functional one. Which I get that people love to nitpick, but that doesn't change the fact that a lot of these mass shooters have been attracted to very similar looking weapons. Well if you want to ban something, helps to be somewhat specific.
  13. I forget, what is an assault style weapon?
  14. Having to listen to music in a cab ride would irritate me. It's like trying to get a ride with a driver that won't shut up.
  15. Amazing how one defeat undoes their reputation in all their past wars.
  16. Better late than never, I guess. You'd think people would know to not bother with that at work, but oh well.
  17. Utopia, but the 2.0 patch had the changes to travel, etc. no ?. Apocalypse is far too expensive for me right now, damn Paradox.
  18. Got Utopia for Stellaris as it was sanely priced. Tried a little bit yesterday, certainly sounds like a whole new game. Still have not won a game of Stellaris, heh.
  19. Like my first day at work
  20. From what I've read they are to move with a team of 4, but solo if none are available. Seems there were some available as the cop being lynched was joined by 3 other Broward County cops who didn't move in. Seems like the BSO's gonna have some explaining to do.
  21. Get a plain tungsten one. Never know when you'll need a filament.
  22. Half Life also gave us a platform for mods. Good memories of waiting ages for the Fileplanet queue to ping
