  2. You should write for video games.
  3. ...Did you take all the refugees that were running from the massive ice storm? Only the healthy ones, probably could have managed all if I didn't forego getting heaters and some other medical improvements.
  4. Well motored through Frostpunk on second playthrough, survived the New Home scenario and didn't become a despot or nutcase. Worst I did was put kids to work in 'safe' jobs which, considering the circumstances is all right.
  5. Sorry to hear that, Hurl, condolences to you and your family. Rough time of the year to lose someone. That is a good way to commemorate him though.
  6. Frostpunk is pretty fun, nice challenge for me at least. Failed horribly on first playthrough, though I did end up convincing my people that I was somehow God's Messenger so that was cool. Think I have a better run going, just need to get a lot of steam cores and automatons

  9. Alone in the office as everyone's working from home or on vacation. Means I can safely blast Ice Cube on my laptop in the office.
  10. He just wants to be loved.
  11. Got Frostpunk for Christmas so am going to kick that off, I had heard it was short and shallow but as I paid $0 for it, might as well give it a go. Also ignoring the titanic backlog of games I have yet to work through. Remembered why I play Overwatch again, is to troll people that get bent out of shape. Yesterday's highlight was some guy having a crisis as he fell from 2200 to 1900 and was on a tear how we all shirked our 'responsibility' to switch or whatever. Some people are going to kill themselves with such stress.
  12. When the criminals roll up to your house in light armour, what will you do ?
  13. Nice links
  14. Hope you all have a happy and quiet one (vain hope if you have large families )
  15. Never in vain, is always someone to bitch about something. Is all there is to enjoy in gaming now, gnashing of gamers' teeth.
  16. I hope they do have romances just to provoke you people.
  17. Everything will be trash.
  18. Said goodbye to Elfsborg, now coaching FC Sochaux Montbeliard. First season was a challenge, luckily got some of my Elfsborg players. Doing better this season as well, sold my star striker to afford 2 great wingers, well it was but alas my strikers have become donkeys now. Still can't pick a good tactic, have an aversion to 4-4-2 that I cannot overcome. Also pretty much only have AMR/Ls so that limits things a lot. Game sure is more fun when you're not a rich club, not sure why people would ever play as Bayern or Chelsea
  19. Pretty sure that is the best way to win chess generally.
  20. Love the movie, hate the ending. It always felt forced, as in he needs to be a bad guy because otherwise the film would be accused of promoting violence, even though for most of it he is a sympathetic character. The ending isn't the thing making him a bad guy. His anger felt justified to me, maybe that's what made him sympathetic. The issue isn't the justification or lack thereof, but the way in which he responds to those triggers. It's kind of what makes a villain a sympathetic villain: relatable motivations to justify questionable deeds. So you never had enough bull**** to run your cup over? You never yelled at a telemarketer for bothering you after a hard day, or did something in the like? Either you should get yourself nominated for sainthood or get yourself some self awareness, cause I'm pretty sure everyone gets fed up and vents. Sometimes at the expense of someone. Yep, but then I learned to harness that impotent rage. Works better than caffeine!
