Cartoon/Anime/Comic settings you would like to see a rpg set in
I remember it being far too gory for my young self, with some weird powers (the chest-beam is still weird to me to this day). I wonder how I would think of it today... Manga and second anime for me, if only for the awesomeness that is King Bradley and the layers added to a few characters . I was a big fan of the few panels Basque Gran was in. Couldn't have made him more different that the first anime's version though.

Avatar : The Last Airbender, the cartoon series, not the Cameron movie Your point still stands, obviously, but this is a confusion that should always be corrected . In a FMA setting, I want to play an Armstrong spawn with a bonus in every skill there is but with a big narcissistic malus of some sort A subset with the characteristic 'huge' would be appreciated. And of course, the obligatory two names.

Cartoon/Anime/Comic settings you would like to see a rpg set in
I wonder if you could do a spiritual sequel to Alpha Protocol with the setting of XIII. A RPG in the De Capes et de Crocs universe could have some potential : travels to a fantasy moon where honor matters are settled in poetry contexts, anthropomorphic animals of all kind, sentient rocks and pebbles, inspiration from La Fontaine, Moliere, Cyrano de Bergerac, and a ton of strange things and characters. Plus I heard there is an actual RPG source book that could be created for the setting. As far as cartoons go, the Last Airbender universe is an obvious candidate. Anime... hum I wonder how a Fullmetal Alchemist RPG would turn out? It does have a rather wide range of characters and possibilities for character archetypes, but I'm somewhat unconvinced. The world of Naruto would be a more natural choice, plenty of things to use for the building of characters, a rather big world with political struggles, etc. The author himself doesn't use it very well in my opinion, but it could be salvaged by another team!

As expected and yet surprisingly well done
Didn't funcroc dig up a financial report where it was said that Square Enix expected 1,000,000+ copies sold? I suspect that we will hear from that franchise eventually, it is still their only western RPG franchise and they seemed to have bigger plans for it at the time.

Avellone asks for your kickstarter ideas
I don't think an AP2 would look good on a kickstarter budget, it's one of those titles where the latest 'shiny things' are very important : nice graphics, animation, voice-acting, etc. I wouldn't mind a successor to Torment, myself. How should they go to improve the original, though? More options to pass the non-dialog parts, instead of having just combat? Should they keep pure ability-checks, or should Avellone try to apply his ideas about 'Sense Motives' in that game? Make the reading/possession of books important in order for the characters to know more about some subjects?

Where are we on that rumor that Prey 2 is canceled, by the way?

Chris Avellone on reddit
I'm sure I've already heard someone mention that about the Aliens dialog system, anybody knows what I might be thinking of?

As expected and yet surprisingly well done
I think the choice 'true to the Legion' is to leave her alive and ask for her help in rebuilding Ehb. I think that value is in the 'pillars' of the Legion in Stonebridge. And yeah,

Obsidian's Secret Project
The RPS interview is somewhat worrying, no? Only one project in full-gear, backed by an editor in dire shape, and one project which is still being pitched.

As expected and yet surprisingly well done
Never played Reinhart, but the description of some of his abilities sort of painted him as one hell of a damage sponge.

My Story and why I'm here
Wait a minute, and there isn't one video of that ending on youtube or whatever? Are you kidding me? Of all discussions I've seen about that game, I don't think I ever saw someone mention that ending, heck most of the time I heard people lament that there is no ending with her on the boat. I know the reputation Alpha Protocol as 'This f***ing game' on Something Awful, but come on, that seems too big!

Queen Roslyn's age
Roslyn isn't the old king's daughter, but his granddaughter. Roslyn's father was King before her, but he was killed when the royalists lost their previous stronghold. She is .

Chris Avellone and ME3
I'm not sure that Obsidian uses data as Bioware does, at least the examples given in that interview seem to point towards Obsidian thinking more in terms of 'big perks' they can give their fanbase in DLC and expansions.

Those were designed and streamlined for the PC though, not consoles. Content is universal between platforms, interface and controllers are not.

Layoff hits Obsidian?
Not to mention a bigger user-base, a broader range of topics, etc. I doubt Josh and Nathaniel paid the Something Awful fee to discuss their game on the board.

Layoff hits Obsidian?
I'm almost surprised that so many people are surprised by the Metacritic thing, but then again I learned about it through an article in a rather free-thinking game magazine (Canard PC, France) so maybe it isn't that common knowledge. And yeah, according to the article, the Metacritic score is often used by publishers to determine bonuses and the like.

Could we win XP in multiplayer matches?
You've got the bolded part wrong : publishers (like Bethesda) base bonuses to Obsidian off Metacritic scores, not Obsidian's management.

Obsidian's Secret Project
The lay-offs suck. The cancellation of yet another Obsidian project sucks. But this latest development, if true, worries me the most : apparently the owners went without a salary for the entire production of that project, wouldn't that mean that the company was in a pretty bad shape before, and that the cancellation of that project will just make things worse?

Obsidian at GDC 2012
I thought the comment was about displaying the numerical value of how your character went up/down the morality scale... but surely that was already in Fallout 3? Why mention a change then?
