BioWare CEO reiterates old EA wish for one unified console
Pushtrak replied to Mamoulian War's topic in Computer and Console
If it were to happen, what they had to say on the matter would be one of the key things involved, yes. Somehow, I don't think a handful of people not buying games that EA publishes will diminish that voice though. I already asked this of the opening poster, and didn't get a response. Are you going to do the same thing and not by a Bio game for fear of "funding this sick vision"? If so, do you also own any of the consoles? Because, I think were there to be a console unification, it might actually be the console manufacturers doing this, and not EA. Just a bit of a thought... Seems somewhat obvious to me.I really see no reason to buy any Bio games. We'll see how DA turns out then maybe.Oh, I see. So, that post I replied to had nothing to do with this thread.... At all. Yeah, thanks for the contribution. -

BioWare CEO reiterates old EA wish for one unified console

How is that, exactly? If such a unified thing were to happen, it would be the console manufacturers deciding to do so. Not some games developer guy. If you are afraid of funding this vision (and it came to pass) you funded it if you were to give money to whichever console manufacturer takes part in said console unification. So, if its the three, and you get a 360, PS3 or Wii, you are "funding this sick vision". Keep Sony the hell away from the disc reader. And no god damn cell processor. -
BREAKING NEWS: RESIDENT EVIL 5 DEMO OUT
Pushtrak replied to Llyranor's topic in Computer and Console
Kind of fits seems to be the right way to put it, as it seems a big complaint is it has moved away from survival horror in lots of ways. More than 4, I have seen some say. Haven't tried the demo yet. Actually, I think I'll just leave it to playing the game when its out. what What? Have you played previous Resi games? -
Woah woah... The real Dune books are the ones penned by Frank. But, in terms of the ones by Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson, the Prelude series are the best they have done. Oh, and it goes House Atreides, House Harkonnen, House Corrino. Were you expecting less from Harkonnen after reading Atreides or did you miss it? I have Paul of Dune here, but I am not enthusiastic about reading it. I really, really didn't like Sandworms of Dune. Heretics was bad enough, but Sandworms... Wow. If you have a real love of what was done in the Dune Originals, you may find it spits on the face of them. I did love the series that Kevin J Anderson did, Saga of Seven Suns. It kept getting better book to book. I have so many books here that I need to get around to. A number of Dawkins ones, Grisham ones, Patterson, Stephen King... I haven't even started a book in about a week because I don't know where to go next.

Another massive Eve Online theft.
Pushtrak replied to Deadly_Nightshade's topic in Computer and Console
I saw this on Eurogamer, and saw someone post there the value at 4000 GBP. That works out as $5,457.99 USD or 4,203.47 Euros. I'm not 100% if that 4000 pounds is right though. -
It will need a big push. It was only by chance of seeing someone at another forum mention this in games they were looking forward to that I know of it.

I keep coming back to this point to try to come up with a good response. Proliferation of diverse types of sexuality... How to broach that topic. Problem is, what is true for one place is not true for another. This relates largely to the sexual orientation of a person's self identity. And how this clashes with a Conservative values. That much is stating the obvious. I wish I had something more to offer in the way of continuing debate, but I have to say I don't at the moment. Ok, you demonstrated this as a consequence. A case of the effect from a cause.

I'd have to agree. That fee would be worth it because of the amount of PC gamers who only use Steam. Keeping your hopes low is prudent when DRM and EA are involved. At the point they become pirates, yes, its a moot point. Its the dislike of DRM that continues to create new pirates (at a faster rate than otherwise). PC gamers waiting 3 months without a patch calmly? I've not seen too many of that. Go to the technical areas of any forum for a game that needs a patch and you will see lunacy. Understandable lunacy if they can't get their game to work, granted. I believe the activations will be nullified. I don't believe thats such a hard thing to address. I can't think of any examples off the top of my head to look up, but I am sure this has happened before and was dealt with well. Damn, what game was it? I believe it was more than once, too.

You speak of potential fears should homosexual marriage be allowed. I was trying to show there wasn't really any merit (in my opinion, anyway) in any of the points you mentioned, not that you were opposed to homosexual marriage. Though, those points do come across as strong enough towards the negative.
-
Thats a fear mongering attitude. I can imagine a politician trying to sell that line as a justification. Diversification is good. You aren't winning me over. Why? Because gays are allowed marry? Why would what they are alllowed marry change anything in people more than it would by the fact that there are homosexuals? I'm not quite seeing it. That would happen, given time, if they felt they wouldn't get negative treatment. Which is a lot harder than just getting legislation changed.
-
Congratulations. You addressed the first point (if that can be called addressing it) but missed the second point.
-
Either there was merit, and off to the loony bin. Or not, and off to prison. Or death row for the American types.
-
Short answer, no. The last update on their site 8 months 2 weeks ago, closer to 3 weeks now. Animation expansion for the final push of the game.

Ah, now we get to the big leagues. Do you think a person could become President of America who was an atheist? I made that post after seeing: Yes, not the biggest thing in the world, but for a country that talks about seperation of church and state, thats something of a WTF-ism.
-
This is a tough point to explain. On one level, there isn't a difference at all. A person is expected to have faith in whatever they are pledging to, and will honour that pledge. What if the person is not of that faith? Then this pledge will mean nothing to them. Only the morals or codes they adhere to themselves will guide them, not the promise. Adding on the "In ___ we trust" when spoken as a nation serves only to tell people who do not worship ___. There is a them and us atmosphere created. I recall reading somewhere that atheists were the least trusted minority in the U.S. Then, there is the adding on the "In __ we trust" on a personal level. I don't think many people who didn't believe in ___ would feel comfortable saying that they belong to a group that they do not belong.

I really hope this isn't a "the bible tells me so" grievance. Ha, now that was funny. Hadn't even heard of him before now.

Go rent "Double Indemnity" and "The Big Sleep"The Maltese Falcon, too. That's set in San Francisco. Hammett tended towards San Fran and NYC as settings. James Elroy and Raymond Chandler used L.A. more often (or fictional cities that were clear stand-ins for L.A. and/or it's surrounding communities). Its worth watching for the sake of it being film noir.
-
Watch the trailer. Its clear you haven't yet. Go rent "Double Indemnity" and "The Big Sleep"The Maltese Falcon, too. Haven't seen that one yet myself. Its on my list though. Team Bondi will be doing it, and its got cred on account of the guy who did The Getaway is doing it. Never played that, so that cred is meaningless to me. I'm constantly checking their site. And nothing.

My most wanted games aren't the most well known. L.A Noire Saboteur The Outsider Heavy Rain (Thats likely the best known) L.A Noire has been in the dark for far too long. Same with The Outsider.

Mister Crowley, What went on in your head? Oh, Mister Crowley, Did you talk to the dead? Your life style to me seemed so tragic And the Moonspell version of that song is obviously the best. Psychotic person is psychotic. As has been stated, its a deranged lunatic who happened to be a Satanist. Not to be a Devil's Advocate*. * That must be one of the most perfect times for its use. Yes, yes, I know true Satanism doesn't worship a Devil. But, still.

Unofficial report comes out, gets updated = delay? I think it more likely they do it to get people to pre order games. Money now is better than money later. Might as well guarantee a sale, too. Know how many to get. They don't want to get too many. They want enough to a point, then the brick and mortar places want to cash in on preowned games. Thats how its always worked, and always will. Er, right. Because thats what KotOR 2 needed. Less development time. Colour me shocked.
