  1. I suggest you read up on deism before you make yourself look even more stupid. From wikipedia. How is this not a belief in God? And you're calling me stupid? You're one of the biggest, most ignorant idiots on this forum. I don't think you really understand what you just read. I'm sorry if Wikipedia is too difficult for you. I'll elaborate: I never said they didn't "believe in god," though I'm sure you just love strawmanning. I did, however, say that their use of god in writing did not refer to a god who watched and punished people in the manner of the christian god, it was metaphorical. If you had actually read that paragraph you copy-pasted, you might have realized this before you posted. Deists do not believe in an active god.

  3. True, but his philosophy was altered to omit his passionate support of the separation of church and state. Do you have any evidence for this? For a secular nation, the founders sure used the word "God" a lot. And again, what evidence are you basing this on? Btw, the final curriculum hasn't been adopted yet, they're still holding public hearings. If you bothered to read most of what they wrote, you'd realize that most of the use of the word "god" was figurative. Most of the founding fathers were deists, not christians.
  4. A manned mission to mars is a huge waste of money. Robots do pretty much everything we can, and are quite a bit cheaper.
  5. Yet somehow you manage to do it. Repeatedly.
  6. I wouldn't give much value to the mainstream American reviewers. They blatantly pander to the large studios and to games which already have a lot of hype.
  7. A bunch that I haven't seen posted yet are listed here: http://blogs.sega.com/usa/2010/05/12/alpha...tocol-previews/ Enjoy.
  8. Graphics look great, especially Taipei and Rome, they look vastly improved from the earlier builds of the game.
  9. Because if you're a real scientist, you can't write in your report "LIAR LIAR" and call it a day? Something as obviously false as this isn't worth the trouble of testing. If I said I could fly and **** gold, is it worth a scientific study to prove I can't? If scientist thought like that I would say that they are biased towards the subject and therefore should not study it. You can't determine beyond a shadow of a doubt that something is false just because you think it's a lie. Because you know what: the world isn't flat and the center of the universe. If every claim ever were tested, we'd learn almost nothing because our scientists would be bogged down testing dead ends.
  10. And court cases have upheld that they can restrict what students wear, sorry bud. Even so, no one here is advocating the forced removal of the clothing, I'm convinced by this point that you're either intentionally strawmanning or simply reading what you want to read and not what's written.

  12. So only the Gov't or Congress can actually violate constitutional rights? An interesting view, but I don't think that's correct. You'd think wrong, then, because it is. The purpose of the bill of rights is to protect individual rights from the government. You cannot sue an individual for violating your constitutional rights, it just doesn't work that way.
  13. And...Dio just died. ****.
  14. To give you an idea of the replayability: There are 12 hours of cinematics recorded for the game. At most, you'll experience 4 hours in one playthrough. That's three playthroughs to see all of the cinematic content, with none of it overlapping. In actuality, you'll probably have to play 4+ times to see all of it, and that's just the cinematics.
  15. LOL. I didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to include the mislabeled screenshots in an actual preview. And finally a full description of the crit system for each weapon. Sounds awesome: Pistol The pistol is the weapon you use in close to midrange encounters. When used at close range, a pistol can be trained on a target until crosshairs appear in the Target Reticule. When these crosshairs close in on the centre of the Target Reticule, the next shot will be a Critical Hit
  16. Damn the WMG flesh. The "music police" ruin yet another DreamTheater night. I don't even know what in that song is copyrighted by WMG. Really. Oh, and the band is Redemption, not Dream Theater.
  17. Har har. Regardless, it was (or should have been) obvious that that statement was not intended to be taken seriously.
  18. Marburg and Leland will make very good enemies for my character, I'm sure. Looking forward to beating the smug smile off of Leland's face, if possible. The possible shootout hinted in the Marburg vignette looks awesome. I'm probably going to ally with Albatross.
  19. I'd send them home for having an awful taste in music. So they learn that they have to adopt to the wishes of authority. In what way is that beneficial in a society based on freedom of expression? That was a joke, you dunce.
  20. That's a really simplistic (and incorrect) view of the situation. No, they're not reasonable, but they don't hate the US. Oh yeah, and the first amendment states that congress shall pass no law limiting free speech. It's not even relevant to the situation.
  21. If you had actually read our posts, you'd realize no one here is advocating that. At all.
  22. Your interpretation defies common sense. People don't spontaneously show up wearing matching attire on a day on which it will probably cause a disturbance (regardless of whether or not the reaction to it is reasonable) because they just "wanted to show their nationalistic pride" as on any other day. And no, an administrator telling a group of students that wearing clothing for the sake of being provocative is an obnoxious thing to do is not a violation of first amendment rights, and you should reread the first amendment.
  23. It's not underlying chemistry, it's energy balance. Energy spent by body, energy must go into body. Hell, you can even make it more basic than that and have it be a mass balance problem - unless he's no longer exhaling carbon dioxide, there has to be some carbon going into his body to replace the carbon going out.
