  1. lol your opinion is provably incorrect as i, the author of thr comment you made an opinion about, told you, specifically, about my comments intent your opinion was incorrect to think that ones opinions cant be incorrect is a basic lack of logic good grief
  2. there is absolutely no reason for me to search before answering a simple question again, of course, i can say and do and play as i please but, to attempt to equate my response to their question in no way resembles your attempt to direct me how i do or do not use or develop parvati is, again, of no relevance to the question posed however, i will say this: having discussed our little exchange with my family has proven to be a good teaching moment for whatever reason you felt the need to respond to me as you did, was inappropriate but, no big deal
  3. you would be absolutely incorrect in your opinion about my tone it is because i truly loved what Bigwooly did years ago, know how it positively impacted me and love to let others know what it might do to their gaming lives i use skyrim because that was the exact setting where i learned it a game i was going to shelve forever suddenly had great value console version btw, you are the one who stated having a problem with discipline. people who regularly game with self-imposed restrictions dont struggle with that aspect
  4. yes, ill use her or not use her as i see fit, though, that is irrelevant to this topic this topic, however, was about our favorite companions and i answered it accordingly dont attempt to dictate my speech btw, ive only recently joined
  5. not very far at all, but, i know parvati will be my least favorite lol @ asexuality
  6. Beardedgeek72 so far, what ive liked about this game is that in my short advancement of the story i can see that the quests so far have had multiple roleplay solutions and is one of the many reasons why im excited about my second run for me, normal, low difficulty “story” runs is superficially shortening game length, though, i will agree with the bullet sponge argument up to a point
  7. It seems as im playing (have not left terra 2) that, as with almost every game i've played, the uniques become obsolete quickly due to cost when available. In TOW, with my early unique experimentation i still dont understand this “tincker cost” issue because those two initial uniques only cost a tad bit more per tincker relative to the basic type. The problem is that i cant buy them at the time cuz i have no bits. Thats why uniques seem to never, ever work in console rpgs and it seems to be more of a specialized playthrough of “uniques” only runs. As for the self-imposed restrictions component: i (and many others) have been doing these since skyrim, since, its such a very poor game, as far as, rpg mechanics: mile wide/ inch deep. (and why i call it a sandbox sim and very, very rpg-lite) So, ive had a decade of adding these personal restrictions to my games and they are second-nature. (same with no HUD) Like ive said before, i cant wait for my second run because ill add ALL of my self-imposed restrictions: realistic encumbrance, live with consequences, all flaws, no save scumming, no manipulation of skill checks via equipment/companions, no stealing (way too ez), no unlocked loot (way too much), no loot i didnt kill, must buy ammo/food, etcetc.. *props to Bigwooly’s skyrim runs!
  8. i am in complete agreement its a huge rpg issue that i think this game does a better job at but can still, obviously, be improved upon its why in all other games i am forced to impose severe restrictions on myself (console) though, not really an “economy” based system some slight alterations could indeed help for clarification, as like so many other games, i feel the loot and trade system in this game are subpar and, therefore, my second run will impose restrictions, such as, no unlocked container looting, no looting enemies i dont kill, etc..
  9. lol oh no, an entire week ago oh lordy say it aint so another tired, weak, cliched and meaningless retort any other foolish muzzles you want to attempt to give me that i can break?
  10. it blows me away that people dont understand that the “i want 3rd” and “i want voiced” and “i want xyz” requests are so naive especially considering the budget and limitations of this console-first game having said that, it baffles me that people know or even care about who a voice actor is voice acting inherently means more fluff and less gameplay thus, one of the primary reasons for the current state of console gaming and its dumbing down and handholding
  11. simply tinkering yours and your companions weapons and armor as you currently wear them alters this debate dramatically as it then becomes an i dont have enuf bits one i experimented with the revolver and hammer tinckering at L10 with a 40 science and the uniques timckering costs were only very slightly higher turn the normal versions so im unsure of all the mechanics and how they change as one levels up i would say the initial costs and when they are available is an issue, as well as, the uniques being underwhelming but, what do you do? have scaled uniques? the system obviously needs tinckering
  12. so, in essence, you are simply bemoaning consoles and returning to that tired argument
  13. im very curious to know if most of these comments are supernova-specific as it is obviously well-known that all other difficulties are way too ez and, therefore, its all pretty superficial and highlights the primary problem to me: the combat is too ez too early
  14. so now we compare these type of posts with the “costs too much” types lol tinker much? supernova? basic, common-sense self-imposed willpower? just like all other rpgs and so-called rpgs as gamers we adjust to a games mechanics accordingly to best suit our styles of play with TOW, on my second run, i already know my self-imposed rules will be pages less than, oh, every other console game in existence
  15. thankfully, i dont play rpgs for the combat, weapons and enemy types tho, TOW does the job just fine ironically, on consoles, almost every game has the same, if not, worse combat and differing weapon and enemy types could they be better? lol, of course but, ill take the new world, new enemies, new weapons, great dialogue, choice and consequence, blocked content and other actual rpg mechanics over that of other so-called rpgs every time (pc games excluded obviously, lol)
  16. was the game designed for consoles or pc primarily? it matters as Thief 4 to my knowledge is the only game i know that does such a good job for hud and gameplay customization on consoles TOW does not stand out as being bad or even average in my mind
  17. i just took my level 10 with 40 science and tinckered Fixer and a regular revolver each tinckering cost was only a bit more for Fixer but the end resulting damage/dps was significantly greater for Fixer did the same with Maxwell and regular impact hammer and, again, tincker prices were only a bit more at each comparable level there must be other variables involved
  18. when most of the mechanic is built around bits and the argument is that the price is too high then, yes, it is about what you consider too difficult more difficult and less handholding all tied to a games actual in-game mechanics is welcomed in this age of dumbed down accessibility and cinematics
  19. absolutely tho, id have to argue against FO4 being, in any way, a rpg skyrim, i label a sandbox sim with some very minor rpg mechanics
  20. more content of actual quality is always welcomed huge replay in this game is undeniable my first playthrough has evolved but is supernova with no hud but with quite a bit of reloading and save scumming second playthrough will be a completely different character who accepts all consequences and flaws on supernova, no hud and with more severe self-imposed restrictions with no reloading/save scumming i cant wait!
  21. for me, the more difficult the better fine, tie it to normal/ez difficulties less handholding always welcomed
  22. ONLY if i can turn them off, as well hud, gameplay and map customization in console video games is horrible
  23. in theory, yes, absolutely the problem i see in every non-pc game i play is that the hud and gameplay options are all horrible, incomplete and completely cater to the handholding types
