  1. Well, since I went straight to the Audiance Chamber, Mira's |33t skillz wouldn't have been much use for me, mostly because they pale in comparison to mine.
  2. "GOTO's yaht with only two characters was interesting." Meh. Kreia and Atton were surprisingly badass.
  3. That's cool and all, but why'd you quote me? "No, I swear, I even tried several times with his character, but the damn thing just assraped his character. He killed ****ing Vrook in three swipes but the tank droid ripped him apart." That's funny, 'cause I just run at its face and hacked away: dead in like three rounds. Of course, my character was an 18 INT Sentinel with megaskillz, so I had awesome equipment (and since it was a base full of droids, it was all anti-droid stuff).
  4. "8.) Collapse to the ground and assume the fetal position, screaming for Mira to come and save you. Best results are obtained if this is done along the side of a busy street. (May -NOT- be combined with Church Membership. Even we have standards, you weirdo.)" No, no you don't.
  5. "P.S.--that's 98.6
  6. Does the sparring match between you and the 5 Handmaidens count? 'Cause that was hard. Didn't make it the first time, actually. "My brother would argue that the Tank Droid was the toughest. I saw him fight most the bosses, he beat them all easily, but the Tank Droid? Nooooo, that damn thing killed him some twenty odd times." What's wrong with your brother? The tank droid is a goddamn wimp. Heck, the fight vs. the mercs before entering the Telos base is harder than the droid is (mostly because your party refuses to stick together and, well, gets raped).
  7. "Really, what would a Chaotic Evil character do at the Fortress of Regrets? Give himself over to the Blood War willingly? Destroy himself utterly to avoid the 'agony' of living forever? Neither seems particularly logical from a self-absorbed bastard point of view." Well, Practical Incarnation did go to Fortress of Regrets, so I guess ending the agony really is worth the cost. edit: I don't think it was supposed to be at all pleasant having your 'mortality' removed from you.
  8. "The Devs claimed the HUD was scalable... But I have serious doubts about this claim just from playing the game myself (obviously) and looking at screenshots like above. It is as if the HUD is really a 540x344 HUD (TV Screen) that would fall in line with it since this is essentially a very bad XBox port any way you cut it. However, it would not surprise me if this feature (scalable HUD) wasn't implemented given the rushed shape this game is in along with the multitude of other problems it has." Duh, the above screenshots just prove that the HUD IS scalable. It sticks to scale with the higher resolution (and since it won't get pixelated or anything, uses different pictures for them, too), instead of just being rendered at a higher resolution (and thus resulting to HUD shrinking when resolution went higher). Also, the KOTOR2 HUD is a ****ton better than what we got in the original: I can actually tell how much HP my party has left when we're in combat!
  9. "I have to say that I agree with every human being who has more than half a brain and has played PST." Fix'd. Seriously. "Ok, ok, so you thought of the comparison first. A good point made twice is still a good point." On the other hand, you got your quotes right. SP didn't.
  10. "Don't blink now because your about to see something very rare. By leaving a question you leave a lasting impression. Remember the briefcase in Pulp Fiction ? " Ok, after reading what Crazy-Ivan wrote, I got what Shadow Paladin was talking about - and now I can laugh: SP, in case you didn't notice, I'm not the one calling it a plot hole.
  11. "Were you got that idea?" Playing the game and checking out the .dlg files to see if I missed anything. "You think what, that TNO is going around "Oh I am a evil bastard but if I do good I go play harp with the devas"." Highly simplified, but, yeah, that's pretty much it. "Sorry, TNO takem the way out by seeking imortality and when Ravel did her trick it did not work as advertised." Quite curiously, the Good incarnation (aka, the original TNO), seems to disagree with you. He didn't intend to stay immortal forever.
  12. "What are you talking about? TNO looked for immortality to escape going to be send to the lower planes, even the most evil person does not want to be send there." Yes, but unlike you claim, him being send to Lower Planes has nothing to do with signing any contracts. "There is nothing to "atone" to, you are evil and you get send to the lower planes." Durr... Get this: original TNO was like hella evil. Then he goes like, w00t, "I'm going to hell when I die! Oh noes!" Then he realizes "If I do enough good, I don't go to hell." Too bad one life time isn't going to cut it - therefore, he seeks out a way to make himself immortal. Get it? It ain't that difficult. The good incarnation says so in the game. "The core of the game is also how belif changes things, how you think Trias managed to make that city to slip into the lower planes." Yes, but what this has to do with you being wrong, I don't know.
  13. "What part of "in D&D people are send to the plane that matches their aligment" dont you get? TNO made a contract, on death he was going to serve in the Blood War and what he was trying to avoid was fullfil his part on the deal when he tried to be made immortal. That is why in the end he does not go play harp with the devas if he was LG, the contract he made forces him to serve in the Blood War for a certain amount of time (if he survives) and then he is released." It's quite clearly stated in the game that TNO goes to Hell because he was evil, very goddamn evil. In fact, it is also stated that the reason why he set out to become immortal was to buy him enough time to atone for his evil deeds. It is true his later incarnations have signed up for Blood War several times, even, but that's not why he sought immortality. The fact that DnD rules disagree doesn't mean a thing. They also disagree with how TNO got huge XP bonuses for high wisdom, regenerated superfast with high constitution, how he could switch classes so easily and with how proficiencies were handled. It doesn't matter though, because that's still how the game works.
  14. I don't see how not knowing what exact crime(s) the original incarnation committed is "a gap in storyline that goes against the flow of logic set-up by the plot." Care to explain? "No, you'll get to know plenty bout what the "practical" incarnation did but as to the original nameless one, no one knows diddley squat. Not even himself, as he forgot after Ravel's treatment." Except we do know the original incarnation describing the horribly evil deeds his later incarnations committed as nothing but a drop of water in the ocean compared to his crimes. I think that's enough information. "...most likely, this was supposed to have been some part of the game but it was cut out when BIS ran out of time or similar." AhhahahaHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAA! Don't be stupid, it's not good for you.
  15. "our customer is the publisher. they largely determine the budget our projects receive. our customer (and the term "customer" is what is commonly used here when referring to them) is the head of the program that we are currently building software tools for. what happens is that we have meetings with the customer and they tell us what they need and their need date. we go into analysis phase and determine exactly how long we think it will take to deliver what they need, which is almost always far past their need date." I bet in your business, the publisher won't come and say "Hey, since you guys did such a good job getting the presentation version ready, we decided to publish it a few months earlier than we agreed!" which, IIRC, was basically what Obsid got after E3. "Gorth, i'm sorry it is too hard for you to reply to my arguments. you mentioned something about it being too hard to get the quotes right. that's funny, i didn't seem to have any problem with it when replying to you on the previous page. i guess it takes a chimp like me to get it right, eh? " Actually, putting too many quotes in a post will screw them up. Like this: But hey, feel free to talk crap about things you know nothing about!
  16. Good for you. Now, why should we give a damn?
  17. "And with Obsidian stating they will close the forums because of negativity regarding the bugs in their software, I absolutely agree with the poster." Except they've stated no such thing, so I guess I'm free to call you stupid, stupid.
  18. What I hated about TSL: I got all these cool NPCs, and I can only have two in my party. So hard to choose...
  19. "I didn't even notice that Darth Nihilus had a "secret identity". What does he conceal? What does he have that he could conceal? I thought he was wearing his clown mask just for fun ..." Well, neither does No-Face, to be fair.
  20. :D The dark and mysterious past of Kreia, eh?
  21. "It's not strange. GOTO has no interest in the Force at all. He just wants the whole damn thing over with so he can get back to business as usual. Since the Sith of this era have no positive agenda at all -- unlike when Revan led them -- he has to side with the Republic." Uh, no. While it's true that G0-T0 doesn't give a damn about the Force, he is always going to side with the Republic - he is, afterall, programmed to save it.
  22. I weep for mankind.
  23. To people who think KotOR 1 did DS better than TSL: Thanks, you just made me lose what litte faith I had left in humanity altogether. Good job!
