If you think your ideas are as brilliant, magnificent and revolutionary as you seem to think, then maybe you should take up modding (or, program your own little games from scratch) and see where that takes you.

While I am not nearly as well versed in this subject as you seem to be (that is to say, I just wing it as I go along), I'm fairly confident that whatever lack of quality you have experienced in commercial translations was due to use of "professionals", not professionals. That is to say, professional hacks and amateurs who work for food/the privilege of translating something 'j'.

"Did the original have that much bad grammar and language?" I wouldn't know. I just know that people who translate jRPGs, or, in fact, anything 'j', tend to be really stupid about it. Unless they're well paid professionals. Such as the living (hopefully) god who's responsible for these translations:
