  1. | It's a lot of text for a very basic English, I hope you understand what I mean hehe | In the end what I did was to separate the 3, with the 3 at the same time was impossible, I managed to separate 1 of the group, and I did the battle with 2, "wall of color" helped, as it does all types of damage in the time it lasts, I threw everything I had, when I had one left I had very few magics to use and a summoning, I won the fight by very little, without using magics and just died the last one hehe The problem is that it has given me one of my rare points, that is, at that point, with level 16 already, I did not have much left to finish the game, I've played with him about 1000 hours and I still have not finished, just when I was so advanced, I have entered a lot of desire to play with Chanter, I could not help it, the wizards just boring me, but I expected to finish the game with him, in the end no xD I got really into Chanter, I thought he would bore me, that you just have to stand there and hold on while you kill passively, but Chanter is terribly fun, the fact of seeing how the enemies around you die is quite funny to me, and a character that I enjoy is a safe bet to finish the game The wizard is very very good, very strong, I have little experience with SOLOs in POTD (I've been doing them for a short time, I always played in group and on hard difficulty), but I've had some hard fights evidently, especially because I choose upscaling in the difficulty when it gives me the option, I tried several builds first to see which one I liked (invest hours to test builds) and I was very happy with the result of my final build. But I felt like changing, I have never tried a chanter as a main character, and honestly, I have had no problems, I kill everything that comes my way, there are a couple of monsters (trolls, the big brown ones) that I have left for later because they are too hard, but apart from those, I have killed everything, a chanter tanke saves everything, I love it. I feel very comfortable with him, so this will be the character with which I will finish the game, I have no doubt, besides now I know almost all the game in POTD, so I won't have the previous problems, at least, I will have less problems
  2. Eyeless hammers -> The ambush with 3 of these was complicated, if it was in a group it wouldn't be so much of a problem, but only with Wizard it cost me a lot, ok they only killed me once, I was able to dispel 1 and I fought with 2, for the last one I barely had any magic left, I had to use Concelhault's summon and he used a hammer while I threw some fire rays at him, he is supposed to be immune to fire, but he did "a little" damage. These enemies are really brutal to play solo, tips? surely there will be more of these enemies later xD
  3. I just killed the Alpine Dragon, I had never killed it (until now I had never finished the game, I used to play on hard difficulty and in group, now I'm soloing on POTD with wizard). He killed me... I don't know, 8 or 10 times xD there is a problem, there are few decent fire magics to fight this dragon, however you have very strong ice magics, a bit unbalanced. I managed to petrify it a couple of times and it helped a lot to lower its life, being petrified it eats everything you put in it hehe the truth is that this dragon has been a challenge even at level 16, it's also true that as I didn't know it I didn't know how to act with it, I needed several attempts. This time I'm going to finish the game, I've played with it about 1000 hours, but I've never finished it, I like to try builds in search of maximum efficiency, it's my drug hahaha
  4. Yes, it would be very easy to take companions and leave them in the fortress, taking missions hehe but if I want to make a solo "legal" those items can not get them, it is a pity that there is such a limitation, is to complicate a little more the challenge of the solo xD I'm still soloing, I've been trying several builds, I don't like to reset stats in the taverns, so each build requires a new game, and it takes a long time, because at least it goes up to level 11 with each build I try, minimum. So I'm still trying to finish it, I think I've managed to make a build with which I feel comfortable, level 11 currently and already in act 3 (mage), with each restart I've had trying builds, I've been getting better than in the previous game, right now I'm able to clear any map until act 3 with 2 or 3 rests, at most 3, for me is already an achievement (POTD, of course).
  5. I understand, then I will choose to increase when it asks me, because of the way I play, sometimes I go to areas with more level than I should, and that's why it asks me, knowing that, I will increase the difficulty when it gives me the option. Thank you!
  6. In the game, sometimes it asks if you want to increase the difficulty or leave it standard, for example, if you pass to act 3 with level 11 it asks you if you want to increase the difficulty. My question is, if I'm already in POTD, what exactly does it increase? (in numbers, X increase in stats, enemy level, etc etc) how does it affect the enemies? level and stats increase? only one of the 2 things? exactly how does the difficulty scale if you choose to increase difficulty? I assume that this is an optional measure to balance the difficulty if you go with more level than recommended in that area, and that's why it offers this option.
  7. I thought you can't help Azzuro without partners, but you can, I'm sure someone here told me that if you don't have partners you can't help him xD It was a surprise, as I thought you couldn't, now I have him selling me items, there is little interesting for my wizard, but good
  8. I hadn't thought of that, in a SOLO that has to be death assured no? stunned permanent Obsidian also left some bugs that you yourself have fixed in this patch, it is something that I will never understand and it seems to be common in many companies, they are aware of the bugs but do not fix them
  9. Well, that's exactly why I consider it a bug, it may seem funny to see a stunned dragon all the time, but it takes away from the challenge of the game on any difficulty, personally I would leave it as it was before to avoid that, or fix it in another way, if I knew hehe.
  10. One question, isn't it possible to fix the cipher bug with Psychic Backlash and Brutal Backlash? I think everyone knows what I mean by that bug.
  11. Well I thought shields didn't affect spells, with weapons obviously yes, weapon + shield of -4 or -8 accuracy, but I didn't know it applied to spells too, anyway with mage I carry small shields, but it's good to know. Edit: I don't feel comfortable doing min/max and leaving RES and CON at minimum, I also don't feel comfortable with the moon godlike race, I like to equip helmets and there are a lot of useful ones xD I'm going to do something more balanced with the wizard, I've tried a build with dex at minimum, but it was a bit slow, with DAOM it's solved a bit, but I still think dex 4 is slow for my personal taste. I will leave the DEX at 10, with equipment and bonus + DAOM will be much faster than with dex at 4, and I will choose pale elf as race, you could say it's my favorite race hehe (but above all for its racial resistance to the elements of fire and ice). I still don't know what build I will build, but I will avoid min/max, at least avoid it on 2 attributes, I can lower one attribute to something medium, but I won't do min/max anymore, Wizard Pale Elf Ice affinity. Edit: The magic Ninagauth's Bitter Mooring is considered "DOT"?
  12. I didn't understand that part, could you explain it better? using a shield reduces the accuracy of magics? how is that possible?
  13. Yes, POD is MIG, sorry hehe (POD -> PODER -> Spanish - I have bad English too, sorry xD) I understand you, I myself limit the use of rests and consumables, I only use consumables in combats that I consider complicated, which can become long. A doubt, a weapon that increases accuracy and damage against a type of enemy, if it is equipped affects the accuracy and damage of your magics to that enemy?
  14. I wanted to try a min/max build, leaving CON and RES at 3, I know the base game pretty well, I haven't played much of the DLCs in my games, I'm used to playing on "hard" and in group, so playing SOLO in POTD is still very new for me. The Wizard as you have told me here, is very strong and I can tell he is capable of SOLOing perfectly, but in this build with 3 of CON even the leaves falling from the trees kill me I'm still getting used to wearing the wizard with such a low CON, I'm compensating with other attributes, currently I use: 18 POD 3 CON 16 DEX 18 PER 20 INT 3 RES Old Vailia - Vagabond - Moon Godlike I don't make use of the famous guide to get the "good" loot, I play with what the game offers me, and the loot is sometimes a real **** xD but well, little by little I'm getting the rhythm In my own defense, I can say that at least, the 5 wolves of the second map, where the bear cave is, I kill them in the first try, I even consider it an achievement for me and the bears of the cave took me 3 tries, at level 2 all, that map I leave it clean before leaving, it's a habit already hehe, the group of thieves, if they could beg, for sure they would, but from that map onwards the encounters are really complicated some of them, with such a low CON at least.
  15. In the end I made it, I didn't funnel in a door, I stood next to the throne, with my back to the wall (so I wouldn't be flanked), I summoned the animatra I bought in Glided Valle, which lasted me a few seconds alive xD I cast all the magics I had at my disposal, which are few, Chillfog and Combusting Wounds, Concelhaut's Corrosive Siphon, in short, what I had at my disposal, I managed to kill him but it was the hardest fight I've done in this game, I always play on hard difficulty and in group, a solo in POTD is proving to be a real challenge hehe About getting items by doing the sleeping tactic, I don't make use of that kind of thing, I play normal and the loot I get is the loot I keep, it's more fun that way for me
  16. Impossible to kill Raedric at level 5 with my Wizard, I've tried every possible way, I exhaust my magics, potions, scrolls, I've tried doing a funnel in a door, going straight ahead too, but straight ahead is worse, they surround you, flank you and then kill you in seconds xD Level 5 is low level for Raedric in POTD with wizard? it's impossible for me, I've been trying to kill him for 5 hours and I can't do it xD 5 HOURS OMG And I haven't seen any solo with wizard on youtube where they kill Raedric at level 5 in POTD, all of them are 7 minimum, from there up.
  17. I wanted to take ideas from the builds here, but they are too old, the game after the patches had many changes and they don't seem very feasible. I have never used a wizard, just once to test, and in group, the idea is to make a solo in POTD with him, but I have not very clear the stats, I had thought something like this: POD - 17 CON - 10 DEX - 10 PER - 19 INT - 19 RES - 3 Old Vailia - Vagabond It would be with Pale Elf, but I'm not sure if it will be too slow to cast magics and attacks with summoned staff, opinions? Another build I had thought of would be like this: POD - 14 CON - 6 DEX - 18 PER - 16 INT - 18 RES - 6 Pale Elf - Old Vailia - Vagabond But I have doubts as to whether it will be low CON and low PER, especially CON. The idea is not to skip fights, do all the fights I find, I don't like to skip fights and leave them for later, I don't use stealth to get equipment, I kill what I see in front of me, and I understand that the best classes to do this are Wizard, chanter and priest, that's why I chose wizard. PS: Another option I was considering is a full min/max, CON and RES at minimum, but with such a low CON I don't know if it is feasible, at least not without avoiding combats, which is precisely what I don't want to do. Edit: Ok, in the end I decided on these stats: POD - 17 CON - 10 DEX - 4 PER - 18 INT - 19 RES - 10 Moon Godlike - Living Lands So far it's going pretty well, I've been able to kill the bears in the cave of the second map and the group of wolves in level 2 without much problem (ok, the bears killed me 2 times xD but nothing else). The Wizard is pretty strong, even though the attacks are slow with 4 dex only, this looks good hehe
  18. And the druid? would he be one of those strong classes for a solo in POTD without skipping combats? or would he have to skip combats at the beginning like other classes?
  19. A friend of mine just did a solo with a monk, even though she did it on "hard", not POTD, it seems to have been quite easy according to what she told me. https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/shiisuii/video/127664978 https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/shiisuii/video/127539363 Adra dragon and alpine, ok, she's on hard difficulty, not POTD, but according to her it's turning out to be a cakewalk, nothing kills her, is the monk that strong? it seems like he's both tanke and DPS at the same time xD __________________________________ One thing that bothers me, is that in POTD, in a solo, you can't play normal, that is, you have to avoid many fights, it makes you feel like a coward, I love the challenge, and playing avoiding fights is not something that excites me, I guess there is no choice, otherwise it's impossible no? I always played on hard, now I was playing on POTD with a group of 6, this difficulty is new to me, it has nothing to do with hard, even the dumbest enemies can give you problems xD If in a group of 6 I'm giving my all, to do a SOLO I would have no choice but to avoid combat, look for equipment by going stealth and do missions that give experience without too much danger, and discover areas, which also gives experience. On the other hand, a solo on hard seems more fun, you don't need to avoid so much combat, if you go up 3 or 4 levels it is possible to do the fights that you find, with the help of summons (figurines) of course.
  20. The min/max in build I avoid them? I have experience in "hard" difficulty, and I usually use min/max buidls, but in POTD I know that everything changes a lot. Thanks!
  21. Hi, first of all, forgive my English, it's a little basic and I may not be understood well at all xD Currently there are no current builds post patch, I was having doubts with a SOLO build in POTD, but also with missions. For example, the random missions in Caed Nua require companions to be able to do them, if you are doing a SOLO, would it be legal to take companions for those missions, or does doing a SOLO imply not doing those random missions? And the guards you can hire in Caed Nua (8 in total), do people playing a SOLO hire guards to get help in the random fights in Caed Nua? or doing a SOLO legally you should not hire guard help for those random fights? ------------------------ On the subject of the builds, is it viable nowadays with the last patches that were released some time ago, a solo build for example with rogue? cipher? druid? or would it be better to choose stronger classes like paladin, fighter, etc? I don't use other people's builds, but I like to get ideas, so I don't know if I could get some advice from an expert in the game who knows well how it currently works in its latest version, to make a decent build.
  22. Eder doesn't have the best attributes for a tank, but he does his job very well with the right equipment and some buffs, at level 7 and early equipment he gets to 90 deflection easily, a weapon with engaged and the necessary talents for a good tank and I personally don't get knocked down, he can handle anything and he can take whatever they throw at him. Personally I never use a tank as a main character because they bore me, I like classes that require a lot of micro management, it's how I have more fun, however, in a group of 6, at least 3 I take them in this plan, 1 pure tanke (more or less, Eder xD) and 2 off-tanks, Kana and my main character in the case of taking druid, I use my druid with that role, and reached level 7 and 9 is able to withstand many beatings while caste his magic. Kana is essential in my group, even by team she practically equals (in some games she has even surpassed him) in deflection to Eder, but she is not able to tanky the same because I don't give her the right tank talents, evidently, If I take Pallegina they are practically 1 tanke and 3 off-tanks xD is a very resistant group, Durador and Aloth would be the others that I always take, and these I take them very soft, they are the target of many enemies, a fampyr the first thing he does is try to disable them (I hate the damn fampyrs xD). In short, for my fighter is the tanke par excellence, and Eder despite not having the best attributes, does his job very well. PS: Sorry for my English.
  23. Personally and after trying several builds of cipher melee and ranged, I'm left with ranged, the build number 4 that I mentioned in my previous post works very well. You have too much focus that you accumulate at low levels, I'm just in love with the cipher ranged, I like the melee a lot, it's very fun, with two hands and heavy armor, if you know how to handle it you can do anything, even though at low levels it's quite weak, it starts to shine from level 8 I think I remember, but as the cipher ranged none, for me hehe Also it is very versatile, CC and very harmful attacks while you are in the security of the second row away, even that there are enemies that will go for you the first, like the Vampyrs, I hate the vampyrs... if you don't make the vampyrs "plug (block them with other characters so they don't reach your cipher)", your cipher ranged is dead xD so you have to be careful with that. PS: I've never used blunderbuss as a primary weapon, I'd like to try it, but I think it requires quick changes to be effective, I don't mind using a lot of micro management, but that continuous change of weapon specifically is something that makes me uncomfortable, if I haven't tried blunderbuss it's because of that xD (or arquebuses?))
  24. Here's some MaxQ builds on cipher -> https://gist.github.com/v1ld/fd89b6092ec840e1cce87900fb0aaa85 I have tried 2 builds, based on my experience and on those builds I made my own builds, more to my taste, but from those, very similar in the end. I have tried cipher with a 2 hand weapon, this one has to use plate armor, the heavier ones, which makes you slower, but it is necessary because you are soft melee xD the slowness of slow attacks with heavy armor is counteracted with the good damage of two hand weapons, two hand swords. Use two-handed swords that you find until you can get the BoEP (blade of the endless paths), even though this is already in late game, the swords you get will have to be upgraded and enchanted with something corrosive or even have another one with fire enchantment for spirit type enemies, etc. My experience with the build number 3 of that link I gave you has been very good, but I used a forest elf instead of a dward, and I put 1 point more of str and one less of constitution in its place, I can say that it is very funny, the first levels are a little difficult but from level 6 begins to shine. Heavy armor for more protection and 2-handed swords, either great sword or stoc, I used stoc, because BoEP is stoc type so I put the talent to improve that type of sword, your damage will be good and you will have good focus, do not neglect, love enemies to put them on your side, Whisper of Treason lasts a little but is fast and makes enemies weak. _____________________________________ Now, I also tried another build, specifically the number 4, this is "remote", and of course is my favorite build, in my case I made another small change, also minimal, I removed 1 point of str to put it to intelligence, the build is practically the same. To use with bows, I don't want to talk about time parasite because it's a skill that you acquire very late, but we must mention that the attack speed with that skill and the bow The Rain of Godagh Field (https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/The_Rain_of_Godagh_Field) is so brutal that you generate focus to the beast xD There are a couple of bows you can buy early on, they are the "cloudpiercer" (https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Cloudpiercer) and the "Persistence" (https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Persistence), which is on level 4 of endless paths in Caed Nua, you can also buy Borresaine (https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/Borresaine) in defiance bay, but it is worth 10k, at the beginning that is quite a lot of money xD This build is to be in the back row, but you can't neglect it, there are certain enemies that will go after you because of your weaknesses, the fampyr are a good example, but also the spirit, ghost and those type of enemies, even if you stay behind the fampyr will go after you as moved by the attraction of a magnet xD My experience with this build is the best, in fact it's my favorite build, MaxQ knows how to make things hehe good focus generation thanks to your good dex to shoot fast, acceptable damage and compensated by your high dex and good crowd control thanks to your high intelligence, one of your best assets is precisely the crowd control, and the use of figurines to plug the enemies that can go for you, you will learn which are playing, which I told you are good examples. Your armor, as it says in the link that I gave you the builds, steal / hide / padded, as preference I use more hide armor and padded armor, I have 2 or 3 on top for depending on the situation hehe PS: I hope you understand, my English is very basic and sometimes I have to help myself as a translator, sorry xD
