Please correct me if I'm wrong. Israel is breaking international law by extending their settlements in the west bank, East-Israel and the Golan Heights. I doubt Israel even wants peace, they've got a good scapegoat for all their problems in Palestine.

I just read today that japanese scientists have made a small amount of plastic using bioengineering with no organic (read: oil) material used. It would be possible to get rid of oil and coal and their derivatives and it wouldn't be horribly expensive considering the crazy amounts used for example warfare, but it would need global cooperation which seems very unlikely. Oh well, the **** won't probably hit the fan until after we're all dead.

Global warming sceptics claim the emails prove it's all a scam, global warming scientists say they don't. Which one do you believe? Maybe people who want to draw conclusions from them should actually read the emails. Otherwise this whole topic is basically discussing other peoples opinions.

I read an analysis on the leaked emails from a non-right wing kook blog and according to them the emails don't really have anything world shattering in them. The so called cooking has been normal practises within the scientific community that taken out of context seem like fingering the data but really isn't and as such hasn't skewed the results (don't remember the details and I'm not a scientist, this is only what they said). I'm sure the official committee will eventually come to the same conclusion.

Why would you need something to "back up" the idea that the military controlled by the Nazi regime which participated in wars for Nazi benefit on the basis of Nazi ideology is comprised of Nazis and Nazi-enablers? You're making the mistake of demonizing nazis. Large scale genocide has been committed around the world in diffrerent cultures throughout times (Turkey and Armenia, Hutu-Tutsi conflict etc. Hell, some of the things europeans did in the Americas and Australia makes the holocaust pale in comparison). Most of germans and hell even nazi party members were probably just like you and me.

German soldiers were literally Nazis between 1933-1945. I'm sure some minority of them got involved out of ****ed-up nationalism, but the Nazis achieved a state of silent consent, especially in the military; any soldier who was not a Nazi was at best a Nazi-enabler. That's quite a generalization... Do you have anything to back that up with? Large scale interviews? Studies on the subject? Or are you just jewish as well?
