  1. Built to Spill - Traces
  2. :D It's like a cross between the first Alone in the Dark and Undying. So far I've only experienced adventure elements, like find the item, use it on this and that and using keys obtained in different ways, mostly conversations. No weapons. I did a puzzle in which the combination of a safe must be found by deducing what the numbers are from what is written in a diary. Kinda cool. Now I'm about 2 hours in, so far it's more creepy than actually scary and I must run away through hotel corridors from a bunch of psychos who want to hack me into little pieces for being an "outsider". They got to me because I got lost in the hotel. I'll try again tomorrow night... :"> The story is very good so far, makes me want to pick up the books. It starts with a flashback of you investigating a cult barricaded in a house. After entering the house and snooping around, you find an ancient machine that, through your actions, opens a portal from which huge creatures start pouring out. End flashback. That was six years ago. You are now 5 months out of a mental hospital and out of a case of amnesia during which you were apparently victim to severe schizophrenia. But you have no memory of it. The game is violent and gory and great. So far. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ' He got out of the hospital after two months or something, and he, or his second personality, has been travelling the world and collecting evidence on the cult for five years. He's been himself for the past 5 months.
  3. Enough for me to buy all the gadgets i want, and live comfortably. I'll probably never get that much money, but hey, who will? The more money you get the higher the sum goes.
  4. Metal gear solid : twin snakes. if i could win the controller from the wife, who's been playing mario kart day and night for a week now.
  5. Actually, OSX is just a skinned Unix flavour. It's built on XWindows. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i know. you still can't run linux programs under osx. i think you knew what i meant.
  6. yeah exactly. duakl boot sounds fantastic, though. i'ma get one as soon as they update the new macbooks.
  7. linux and mac don't mix well
  8. The Kooks - Eddie's Gun nice guitar pop band, nothing original but they've got some nice tunes.
  9. XTC - Generals And Majors
  10. You are wrong. Apple poured millions to advertising yes, as they poured millions to design and programming. I've had an iriver, and it doesnt even compare to the ipod. Tell me, have you ever even owned one? My sisters Creative sucks, the touchpad on those is far too sensitive and the interface is clumsy. And, you can use an ipod without itunes. you personally dont like ipods, fine. but you cant really argue that it's not a top notch mp3player. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How do you use an ipod without itunes? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the new version of winamp has an ipod plugin included. in the previous versions, you had to download it yourself. as meta said, you can install linux to it and get rid of itunes that way. use google, i bet there are hundreds of ways to make it work without itunes.
  11. i'll prolly end up getting this, playing it for a solid two hours and then forgetting about it completely.
  12. Llyl, is that game real time strategy or what?
  13. the only real problem with mp3player now is that none of the new models have replaceable batteries.

  15. I used to be negative about IPods like you are... until I've got one <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly. They just are the best, maybe not the cheapest but hey, poor people suck anyway.
  16. It is possible to install linux onto the iPod and not use iTunes ... " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know, but just the fact that i use macs at school and work make it the mp3player for me.
  17. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Read the comics, Enki Bilal was my personal hero when i was a kid.
  18. oh, and the fact that it's optimized for the mac is a big bonus.
  19. But it's so white! I like the Creative and Archos players personally. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have a black one. The iPod is a very good mp3player, it's sound quality is top notch (only one that is better is iAudio), and the interface is very intuitive and easy to use. The only problem is that it's just too expensive. Then again if you have the money, it's not a problem at all. People shouldnt badmouth ipods just cause they're trendy. Besides, you can use winamp instead of itunes.
  20. Then again there was PiL, which pretty much proves john lydons musical talents.
  21. so how about that lucasarts, pretty rad huh
  22. Click here.
  23. so how about that bioware, pretty awesome huh
  24. you don't have to buy the books.
  25. I thought that the game was pretty much doomed from the start. At first they were gonna make a HC CRPG/Survival game hybrid only for the pc, and it was gonna be like four times as long and deep. But sometime during the development, a couple of years ago i think they lost their publishing deal and had to scale the game down so the xbox could run it.
