  1. CoC already got released last year in October for the Xbox when Headfirst was still in business, so that's no excuse. Mind you that the PC version only got released because one programmer from Headfirst did the whole port unpaid on his own time? Without the dedication of this man the PC version would have never been released, and Bethesda wouldn't even have scratched their ass for that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, they were well down the road to bankrupcy then. I think they knew they were going down, as did everyone who had anything to do with the game. Thumbs up for that one guy though.
  2. They didnt, they only published it. It was developed by Headfirst.
  3. Well, without beth the game wouldnt of have been released at all. It was almost ready when the original publisher went bakrupt. Besides, what use is it to market a game when the developer has gone bankrupt too?
  4. Well if being your friend or having a high post count (e.g. spamming a lot) gets you special priviledges, i guess i'll have to start brown nosing. As i said it's very atmospheric, and the it has the whole lovecraftian feel to it. Also the voice acting while not superb is at least immersive with accents and all.
  5. I don't think so, and considering headfirst went down, i doubt there will be.
  6. It's a horror game, not that much survival though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haha, just wait for the hotel chase, there you'll recognize that it is certainly a survival horror game.... or the Soggoth chase. Cthulhu is an interesting mix of action, investigation and survival horror, but gets almost destroyed by annoying and illogical puzzles and very unbalanced difficulty. The gameplay is generally slower, a'la Deus Ex, but certainly not comparable with Oblivion. I also like the fact that you have to beware of Jack's mental state, because if you're careless, he may kill himself. If you're seeking for a mature, very depressing (non happy-end for sure!) action adventure and can endure the annoying puzzles, you certainly will find your joy in this gem. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Did you play it on the pc or the Xbox? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> PC. I already played through it last week. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How's the replayability? I've heard it's fairly linear..

  8. I'll buy one when the next Xbox comes. I'ma get a ps2 in the fall and maybe an xbox too.
  9. It's a horror game, not that much survival though. There's no GUI, you have to check how many bullets you have by opening the barrel and peeking inside. It doesnt really compare to oblivion at all, more like system shock 2. The visual effects are really cool, if you see bodies or anything scary, the screen will start to wave and the control will go sluggish. Like in that gamecube game, only more subtle.
  10. CoC:DCotE is finally out. I've played through the prologue, and it's been really atmospheric and scary so far, much better than resident evils imo. The voice acting has been solid and well, everyone loves lovecraft. Anyone else planning on getting this one?
  11. Well, i finished lego star wars, and i'm just about to start playing the call of cthulhu game. only problem is, it's just too bright with the sun shining and the spring and all, so i'll have to wait until the evening
  12. sometimes they also flip out and kill people.
  13. yeah, not. i dont really care about starforce. then again i havent had any problems with it, YET i suppose.
  14. We don't like piracy here. How are tv-shows different from games?
  15. this is gonna be a long list.... Lego Star Wars: A fun game, just started it and so far it's been ok. Graphics are awesome Oblivion: Bored with it already. Everything just seems pointless with the scaling. I
  16. it's vampire.
  17. just get mods. there are a bunch that fix the leveling system. http://www.tessource.net/ is a good site. Tough luck if you have the 360 version though.
  18. Am i the only one who thinks kotor3 should never be made?
  19. You're not the only one, in either case. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Any idea why this is happening? Or how to fix it?
  20. Am i the only one having this problem? Or am i just the only one who's tried uninstalling yet?
  21. You got a mod that prevents you from doing something that you could have easily just never done yourself? Get that sneak skill up, and you'll have no problems pickpocketing people. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well as i said, i found it amusing and decided to install it, since i wont be using fast travel anyway. now i CAN'T use it. i'm hardcore. and the reason stealing is impossible is that all the guards have x-ray vision and see if you have stolen goods and rush where you are immediatly.
  22. do you think you're funny, jorian?
  23. Why would you need a mod to remove the fast-travel option? Wouldn't it be simpler to just not use it? (I apologize if this question is somehow stupid-- I don't have the game (or a computer that will run it).) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yeah, only that i'd just end up using it. i dunno, works this way too i thought it was kind of silly, and thought why not, since i wasnt gonna plan on using fast travel anyway.
  24. first CTD, i was just walking on the wilderness, trying to find my horse actually, heh, and just out of nowhere the game crashed. bummer
  25. me too, i just hope it will be worth it
