I'm reading Roadside Picnic at the moment (the book S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is loosely based on), and i'm thinking about buying a new computer just for this game now I don't get though why they changed the setting to Chernobyl instead of the original UFO visiting site, i think it's been pretty much proved that radiation doesnt really produce any cool mutations, just deadly ones.

Ignorant? They released a broken product. If it's too difficult to implement stuff, maybe they shouldnt have even started the project.

Have you ever opened a .2da like feat.2da or spells.2da and looked at exactly how many things are in this game? There are literally thousands of entries. Abilities like stealth are extremely complicated. It's an ability that is supposed to function differently against a variety of factions depending on circumstances and different forms of it can be canceled or bypassed by individuals and groups in different ways. We're not just running around here slipping on banana peels and puddles of drool. Some of these (many) things are actually pretty hard to diagnose and make work properly, much less to the expectations of players. True, still no excuse though. I know you got into the game late, so can't really blame you for the crappy condition the game is in.

Stealth is broken. Multiplayer is broken. Those are the two biggest. Wanna play a rogue? Too bad. sure, the game is playable as in it runs and rarely crashes, but pretty much all the real content is either broken in implemented badly. They'd need a hundred patches like 1.06 to fix everything. Then again i guess thats what the mod community is for, fixing bugs the developers were too inept to fix in the beginning.

Hot Fuzz was brilliant and meta should see it. Otherwise he is an idiot. That is all.

nwn2 is broken, and no amount of patches will be enough to fix it. Maybe instead of supporting it, they shouldnt have released a broken game.

I agree that the song isnt all that fallout-ish, but meh, who cares. I dont judge games by their predecessors merits, much less if they were done by different teams and different developers.

For me I think the worst part wasnt necessarily the camera itself but a combination of the assinine default movement keys being the arrow keys (why wouldnt those be the most common form, WASD?) and the mouse controlling the camera. It made, for me, a very awkward experience to move, then futz with the camera to get a good view, then have to re-adjust because your guy ran across the map, all the while with my hands almost feeling like they are crossed on the keyboard. You know, maybe that was it. Unlike other games where your group pretty much stays in one small region, NWN2 has your party all over the damn place which contstantly requires you to screw with the camera every time you click on an NPC to see wtf they are doing. You once explained to me that all that could be re-mapped but I never did before losing interest in the game. It's never where you want it to be, good camera is a camera you don't really pay attention to, as opposed to having to tinker with it every time you do something.
