pain in the arse to set up. it did not add enough for me to get excited about it. taks There's a new version out called easytutu thats really easy to set up, you just choose where you have BG2 and BG1 and where you want to intall tutu and it does the rest. Also you can uninstall BG1 after you've installed Tutu. IMO the higher resolutions alone are worth it, but getting highlight, better weapon proficiences and with mods ammo and potion cases and gem bags it really makes BG1 a better experience. Also there's a mod called Sword Coast Stratagems that makes the game a bit more challenging, but unlike Tactics it doesn't cheat, it's just scripting and moving some encounters around. It's almost like a new game.

I get it, it's funny because he's black? Black people sure are funny. Blacks!

Heh, that's ok, didn't mean to be rude either. It's just that usually when my diet comes up people see pointing out that they don't agree with me their duty, instead of just leaving it at that. I can get a bit snappy. I know 99% of the worlds population doesn't agree with me, and I'm usually fine with it. Even my girlfriend who I've lived with for 3 years doesn't agree with me. Also a new thread for veganism vs. meat eating would be a pointless waste of time, I doubt there are other vegans here and most of you are too old to learn any new tricks anyway
-
Yeasts are a part of the fungi kingdom, they're not animals. I've tried vegan wine and it tasted ok, but no restaurants have it and my friends who drink wine never buy it. Oh and Walsingham, I don't agree with your lifestyle either. I live by my beliefs and morals and so do you. I will say this though, people cutting down their meat intake to once or twice a week would hugely help the enviroment and strike a huge blow to the very unethical meat and dairy industry. But as I said, most people disagree, usually out of ignorance or just don't care.

uh, no. it's "Cheats=1", not "Debug Mode=1". the latter works with NWN/NWN2. it is different for the IWD games, too, and maybe even BG2 (not there yet, so i haven't hunted it back down). You're not playing Tutu? If not, why?
-
Or you can just add Debug Mode=1 to baldur.ini under program options and press ctrl+shift+8 in the char creation screen to get all stats to 18, and assign what stats you want. edit: My game of choice right now is Team Fortress 2. It's almost perfect, only thing it needs is achievements for all classes and more maps. Haven't had this much fun with an FPS since the original CS betas.

According to that link my PSU is perfect for my needs. Thanks for the link!

I like finnish beers, as bland as they are. My favourite is probably Olvi, with Kukko a close second. I'm not too familiar with foreign beers, but I have enjoyed German and Belgian beers in the past. Beer is probably the only alcoholic beverage I drink, with most wines being off limits for a vegan.

It is bought and assembled. I had to get a Corsair 520w PSU because they were out of Enermaxes, and a different, ugly a fook case with blue leds and a window but otherwise it's all good. I bought some weird special ram with passive coolers, it cost a ****load but will hopefully have some use. It can run both NWN2 and Team Fortress 2 (only games I've tried so far) on full settings with FPS in a comfortable 70+. It did drop to low 40's in TF2 when I had 30ish players all shooting in my FOV, but never got choppy. I will try STALKER and Witcher tonight, and I have Bioshock and Crysis as well. Now I just need to get 64bit XP to utilize all of my 4 gb of ram... Thanks for help everyone!

Wait, so they patched friendly fire off? This sucks, why make the game easier than it already is? I've yet to die a single time in NWN2 OC.

Thriller: En Grym Film. Swedish (s)exploitation film from the 70's. Supposedly the only movie ever banned in Sweden. It was pretty good, chilling action sequences, weird plot and titties. Oh and the uncut version has some pretty filthy hardcore porn clips that were probably the least erotic i've ever seen. Great movie if you like oldschool exploitation revenge flicks. The main character was an inspiration for Daryl Hannah's character in Kill Bills.

Does the manufacturer of the GPU matter a lot? I see at least 5 different companies make HD 4870's, are there any differences between them?
-
Mirrors Edge looks pretty great. I hope they add a kickass dubstep soundtrack, maybe get Benga or someone to choose the tracks.

So will the 525w be enough? According to my friend it is, and he says I'll be saving the money a new PSU will cost in electric bills. Oh and Mkreku, I'll get some better ram. Sometimes it's not worth it to be a cheapskate This baby's going to get ordered on thursday, I'm going to a festival for the weekend so pics next monday!
-
Any examples? As I said I know next to nothing about this stuff, so names would be cool So quadcores are basically useless, then? I'll be doing some video editing, DVD ripping and graphics design on this comp as well, would a quad be more useful than a duo for those?
-
The way I see it it's smarter to buy a smaller power supply now, and sell it when I need a bigger one. I'll save money in electric bills, and who knows I might not even get crossfire. What I'm more interested in is that the best rig for that price right now.

Alright, so here's what i've been thinking of getting: CORE 2 QUAD Q9450 2.66GHz Tray Ati Radeon HD 4870 512MB, PCI-E, GDDR5, Dual DVI P5Q, ATX, s775, IP45, DDR2, GBLan, 8-ch audio Xigmatek HDT-S1283 Processor cooler A-Data 4GT DDR2 800MHz WD 640 GB, Caviar SE, 3.5", SATAII/300, 16MB, 7200RPM Antec ATX-tower case, P182B, 4x5.25, 7x3.5, Gun Metal Enermax 525W power A friend of mine chose the parts, I don't really know anything about modern components so I'd appreciate feedback. Does everything look alright? the goal, which this rig according to my friend will be abled to do, is to handle any game on the market atm, on at least high graphics, with room for upgrades (crossfire?) in the future. Thanks in advance.

The Swashbuckler class sounds completely unnecessary. Why couldn't they just have added feats for regular fighters to use, or a prestige class? It can't be that different from a dex based fighter or a fighter/rogue.

Dungeon Crawl. At work.

Diablo 3, nuff said. Fallout 3, wasn't interested in this at all before I saw the E3 video with Todd Howard playing the game. The mini nuke was retarded but otherwise it looked pretty awesome. Sure it was all combat, but looks like they pulled off real time combat while staying true to SPECIAL. Let's hope they've hired some decent writers and more than 2 voice actors this time. Not sure what else...all future NWN2 expansions I guess. And whatever Valve is releasing next.

Also I have Mount & Blade, best 10 bucks ever spent, and I will be playing the **** out of it. 500 people battles, hell yeah! Dwarf Fortress however is too complex for me, maybe if it had a proper mouse-driven UI I could get into it but having to memorize all those commands is just too much work.

No real comparison between MW and Oblivion. I know people who hated MW and loved Oblivion, people who loved MW and hated Oblivion, people who loved both, people who hated both. But some aspects of the gamelay are similar as they were both developed by the same people. I find it to be a pretty boring game; it looks pretty though. I'll probably get it, just for exploration. My new rig will be abled to handle all the extra texture packs, so if for no other reason than to use them. Don't expect a coherent plot. But its got a lot of atmosphere. The FPS gameplay is above average. Exploration is fun. No need to wait for Clear Sky. If you plan on playing both, I would play STALKER:SOC first. I'm a sucker for the book it's loosely based on, so I would have gotten this even if everyone said it sucked. SS2 meets Fallout? I don't know how you got that. Its more like SS2 streamlined to the point of boredom. Didn't finish it though. Stopped fairly close to the end (I think) because nothing seemed to matter and I didn't care. Maybe the ending makes the whole thing worthwhile. Highly doubt it though. I based the Fallout thing on the 10 minutes a saw a friend play it, the art direction reminded me a lot of Fallouts futuristic 50's style. No idea about the content, but at least the little animated cut scenes you get when you get a new plasmid were very Pipboy-ish. I found a mod that supposedly makes it a more enjoyable experience for FPS veterans, I guess I'll DL it if the game is too easy.

Hows Assassins Creed with a mouse+keyboard?
-
I've played the first Lego Star Wars at a friends place and it's perfect platformer fun. How are the following games? Company of Heroes (WW2 is getting kinda tiresome, but the reviews have been positive) Sins of a Solar Empire (4X or just a regular strategy game?) Supreme Commander (Never been a big RTS fan, but iirc TA was good) World In Conflict (C&C clone?) edit: Assassins Creed (boring or awesome? I've read both) Gears of War (Console FPS or a legit one?) edit2: Crap, so many promising games Dark Messiah of M&M CoD 4 Crysis

Bioshock isn't Fallout meets SS2 at all. I's just SS2 gutted and maimed for the sake of a more mainstream audience. Yeah? I saw a friend play it for a while and the art style and humour was ripped straight out of Fallout. Nowhere near the quality of the Fallouts, but still kinda amusing. And I actually like the setting more than SS2, not sure about the magic stuff but the underwater city looked pretty awesome. I'll be seriously bummed if it turns out being a huge turd
