New interview @Escapist Sounds all nice and well, but what this game really needs is a singleplayer OC. Perhaps Obsidian could sign up for that while Cryptic handles the multiplayer part.

TOR is such an expensive game that it will need to sell a bunch of millions to turn a profit. It probably even will. But people might jump off after the first month and go back to WoW. They always do.

Nobody really wants a unique setting. The Secret World will probably suffer the same Fate as AoC, having a mediocre start and lousy subsciption numbers afterwards.

Almost finished? I recall Josh saying they still needed two years.. No he didn't. He said however that the game was ready to show, and ol' Ferg also said the game felt like it was finished. I'd say Obsidian maybe needed another 3/4 or 1 year for completion. Either way, maybe it isn't so dead as we believe. There's still a slight chance the F:NV team might continue working on it after it ships.

Funny how SEGA drags and pays this turd along while canceling an almost finished Aliens Crucible.
