Well, at least we can finally put the whole "Republicans care about the deficit" nonsense to rest...and then the "Republicans care about states' rights" as well when the FCC royally screws up the internet and makes it so states can't do anything about it. Just crappy excuses for obstructionism when it suits them, nothing more.

"Former national security adviser Michael Flynn is expected to testify that President Trump instructed him to contact Russian officials during the 2016 campaign" http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/362773-flynn-to-testify-trump-directed-him-to-make-contact-with-the From the guy that brought you "Lock her up!", we've now moved on to "Lock them up!". Trump's next line of defense: "Donald Trump was a low level part of the Trump Campaign."

Didn't Tillerson keep calling Trump stupid? Probably had something to do with it, I imagine. I don't think you should be calling the president stupid, especially as a fed, but these are pretty rough times...

Yeah, that's really crappy.

holy cow, nobody predicted this. nobody. -
With the exception of a few low quantity items, Black Friday et. al. sales are pretty much a known joke in retail at this point.

Given that it's been over six months now, I guess it's a little optimistic to expect that to change.

Have they still not patched Nier on PC yet? Pretty crappy if they haven't.

The Wolfe Tones were one of my dad's favorite bands, and he introduced me to them when I was a kid. There was a particular song he had me listen to, the Four Seasons, about the turning of the seasons and time running out and being forgotten. I liked the song, but didn't really have much appreciation for the band itself. I gave them another chance recently, and discovered some more songs I like by them, and I had planned to send him the song near his birthday earlier this year but decided against it for a couple of reasons. Still feel crappy that I never sent it to him before he killed himself. Don't think it would've changed anything, but it still is just a crappy thing.

Looks like I accidentally went over my data cap this month. Darn. Stupid data caps.

And now TIME magazine is being acquired by some Koch-associated company that will make all of this rather irrelevant. Gosh, I love modern media conglomerates.

About the same for me. If you're gonna make a combat system that's much more weighty, harder, and time-consuming in every battle than in the game it's inspired by, please don't also have a remotely similar amount of trash mobs throughout the game that the BG games had, which already had way too many trash encounters as it is. The thing was, they all took like two seconds to deal with apiece because of the D&D leveling system (where being just like 2 levels higher makes you overwhelmingly more powerful in the low to mid-levels). So designing a system where every encounter is a serious tactical consideration and you have to play it seriously and at length or get crushed...you probably should reduce the amount of combat in it. Just can't stomach it.

good golly gee whiz mccarthy is a terrible, terrible gameday coach. his total lack of football situational awareness cost us that game, nothing more. off with his head and all that. you might be an amazing coach at everything else every other day of the week, but your idiotic decision-making during actual games has cost us wins.

Axiom Verge. Today I discovered I'm not a metroidvania-type person.

Ditto for me (no particular order): Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn (2000) - BioWare The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998) - Nintendo Undertale (2015) - Toby Fox S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (2007) - GSC Game World MOTHER aka Earthbound Beginnings/Zero (1989) - Ape Banjo-Kazooie (1998) - Rare Diablo II (2000) - Blizzard North Dark Souls (2011) - FromSoftware Planescape: Torment (1999) - Black Isle Studios Terranigma (1995) - Quintet Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest (1995) - Rare Bloodborne (2015) - FromSoftware MOTHER 2 aka Earthbound (1994) - Ape Half-Life (1998) - Valve Corporation Portal (2007) - Valve Corporation Super Mario World (1990) - Nintendo Age of Empires II (1999) - Ensemble Studios Neverwinter Nights II: Mask of the Betrayer (2007) - Obsidian Entertainment Life Is Strange (2015) - Dontnod Entertainment Super Mario Bros. 2 (Japan) aka Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (USA) (1986) - Nintendo I actually had five more entries I could've used, but I couldn't really think of any other games that I also love that really felt deserving of being on a top 100 list based on some criteria of offering a complete, unique, and very fun experience. I already had like 3-4 entries from the same series, too...

Wouldn't count on it - Jerry utterly loves that guy, and you guys were the #1 seed in the NFC last year. It's probably gonna take 2-3 years of really sucking for that to happen, and with the amount of talent you guys have on at least the offensive side of the ball, that'll probably never happen.

In my experience, that crap is usually a pretty good deterrent against buying the game itself, nevermind the season pass.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/23/us/politics/flynn-mueller-russia-trump.html Word on the street is that Flynn may be flipping for Mueller against Trump as a result of Mueller targeting his son for various crimes he was involved with alongside his father.

Dak seems like a very different QB when defenses don't play the RB anymore, especially when the OL is beat up like it is. Have to learn and get better - RBs have a short half-life in this league, and his star RB won't be around for forever.

In other news, in addition to disbanding net neutrality laws, the FCC will also block states from implementing their own versions of net neutrality. https://www.theverge.com/2017/11/22/16691344/fcc-preempt-block-state-local-net-neutrality-laws
