  1. Now even Hezbollah categorically denies cooperation with Russia.
  2. The calmness of these guys...
  3. Sorry @213374U, but your argument about Ukrainian forces being in civil buildings is moot. The first thing which Russia bombs in every single city including Western Ukraine, where is no active conflict brewing) are Hospitals, Schools and Kindergartens. Then they start shelling water and food reservoirs and only then other infrastructure. After that they try to attack against Ukrainian forces, and get asskicked. Even in Mariupol which is besieged from day 3 of the invasion, they are losing whole brigades day by day... The other thing is Mariupol, Kharkiv and most of the cities around Doneck and Luhansk are cities with very high population of ethnic Russian. So in the 22 days of shelling, Putin managed to kill more Russians than Ukrainians (even if we exclude all of his fallen soldiers). That big of a **** he is...
  4. More on China's latest steps.
  5. 4. Maybe 5 if the ambush reported by Ukrainian General Staff I linked was legit
  6. More footage from Kherson airport, after Ukrainian attack. Looks like some Russian guy made the video. Russians lost ****ton of stuff 😮
  7. Nope, Big Majority is Orthodox Christians and AFAIK Greek Catholics are more common than Roman Catholics there as well.
  8. Looks like they did their calculations and start to care a little bit more. Today it was reported in our news, that Lavrov was flying to China, but on the half-way there, his plane suddenly changed his course back to Moscow... Seems like Pooh noticed, how is Putler moving a lot of their armies from Siberia to Ukraine, and starts new round of calculations... Zelenskyi would never accept Austria-like neutrality. That would mean "peaceful-type" of army with almost no offensive capabilities, and that would mean, one more invasion, after Russia recovers, if Putin would be still in charge. This time, with more horrific outcome for Ukrainians. The best deal which I can imagine would be, that they would be neutral with Turkey guarding their skies. Erdogan, as much he is an ass, he is only NATO politician, which has some kind of respect in Moscow. And in other interesting news: Moldova wants the Russians gone from Transnistria Uzbekistan as one of the closest allies to Russia has raised some fingers. Statements like this would be unimaginable few days ago... Aftermath of the Ukrainian attack on Russian occupied airport near Kherson Another information from Slovak news: "Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the head of the office of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, said that the Ukrainian army had destroyed the command post of one of the Russian armies involved in the invasion of Ukraine. The positions came under fire from Ukrainian artillery. "It is a great military success. It may mean that several generals have died and caused the disorganization and disruption of hostile activities aimed at continuing the military operation," Arestovych said. The commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, said that the headquarters of the 35th Army of the Eastern Military District of the Russian Federation had been destroyed." Alleged footage near the area
  9. Three commanders including 1 general near Kharkiv were snipered IIRC the reports.
  10. He was immediately put under other Canadian commander, from info which was released few times, foreign fighters are under command of people who speak their language. Probably only the top people in these regiments are talking Ukrainian. There was also reported few days before Yavoriv incident, that one full polish brigade is operating near Kyiv. Also Slovak ****posters are spreading "verified" information, that he died in Mariupol What would be a logic to send a sniper to a city, which was already besieged when he arrived to Ukraine?
  11. From what I understood, they were hit by a lot of missiles, but the big number of casualties is because one of the rockets hit directly one of the barracks, other rocksets were not so accurate. According to Ukraine this barrack was full of Ukrainian soldiers only (we should take this with grain of salt or two). Wali though was apparently in Ukraine before March 4th. So I highly doubt, that such an asset would be still near Polish borders waiting for 10 days. The fact that there are already 12 12 high commanders down as of yesterday gives a high probability, that the snipers like him are at this time already deep in the Ukrainian territory. We'll see. First report about Wali from Canada published on March 4th.
  12. I fully understand that. I am not supporter of what NATO did in the past, and I am ashamed one of our prime ministers was part of it. Unfortunately the tide of time shows again and again, what happens to small nations if they are not part of any pact, if their neighbour got nukes And I do not want to see what is happening to Ukraine to happen to my country as well
  13. Got kill or got killed?
  14. And now Russia is funding neonazis in Eastern Europe
  15. The best news from this war so far. https://t.me/suspilnedonbas/4363 "Rescue operation continues in Mariupol', about 2000 vehicles left before 2pm, 2000 more awaiting to leave towards Manhush -Beryansk-Tokmak-Zaporizhiye." Hope these Ukrainian civilians will get out of that hellhole safe, and their army will bring up many more losses to Russian armies there... EDIT: Unfortunatelly there are also more worrysome news from Mariupol
  16. I've heard the rumours as well, but this looks to me kind of over the top. But you really do not know. Yesterday also looked very heavy fighting at a lot of places around all of Ukraine. The Kharkiv situation is from what I read very interesting, because Ukraine are doing their best to disrupt Russian operations. There is definitely a big material and human loses on Russian side near Kharkiv, but the exact losses on Ukraine side around that region and Mariupol is unclear as well. Zelenskyi confirmed 1300 fallen Ukrainian soldiers so far. CIA estimates on Russia are about 4500 and other USA agencies up to 6000. Ukraine is telling more than 12000, and Russia still around 500. What gives me hope is that Ukrainian soldiers on the front on some of their in-action videos are telling, that they are lucky that the Russians are complete goofs. So easier for them to survive their mutual clashes.
  17. The China involvement in all of this will be indeed crucial for the future of politics. At least for now, China is not willing to put their economy on risk with supporting with sanctions affected russian business
  18. Russia got their ass kicked pretty big again in Mariupol yesterday. "Operational information from the General Staff: In the Mariupol direction, the enemy is trying to capture Mariupol. Ukrainian soldiers successfully repulsed the attacks of the invaders. The total losses of the enemy were about 150 people, 2 tanks, 7 infantry fighting vehicles and one armored personnel carrier. After the losses, the occupiers stopped the offensive and retreated." https://t.me/lumsrc/1455 There have been released also a lot of videos about this failed offensive.
  19. It would not help them. It would make them lose even faster. Putin and Lavrov have said many times in interviews, that for them Ukrainian nation does not exist. Without training and weapons from EU, they would destroy Ukraine sooner or later. NATO membership is just a scapegoat to recreate "soviet empire". It's the same with Belarus, just Lukashenko is to big of a **** and now a Russian bitch.
  20. If this is true, Russia and China would never admit it. It would make Putin's "most fearsome" army to laughing stock for everyone, because the losses must be tremendous if they really need help from China.
  21. In other news, Slovak National Criminal Agency arrested three people who were taking bribes over the last few years directly from Russian Embassy. One of the was in our Secret Service, which is pretty ****ty, one of them is a colonel in our army, which is less ****ty but still ****ty, and one of the owners of "alternate media" Hlavne Spravy, which was spewing pro-russian and anti-vaxxer propaganda since 2014. This media was shut down and cut off from internet few days after Russian invasion. One of the arrested people already confessed taking bribes, and pointed to russian diplomats, which will be expelled. @Gorth The very same reason, why many people in the east europe support cutting off these "alternate media" from the internet. It has nothing to do with free speech, if the main goal of these media is spreading narrative to step up unrest amongst the populace and praise the parties (most of them neonazi), which leaders are on the russian paycheck.
  22. Russia is increasingly pulling forces from its international deployments to reinforce operations in Ukraine, though these deployments are unlikely to shift the balance of forces in the coming week. The Ukrainian General Staff reported on March 13 that 800 personnel from Russia’s 102nd Base in Armenia deployed to an unknown location in Russia on March 9-10 in preparation to deploy to Ukraine. They also reported that Russia is recalling elements of its peacekeeping deployment in Nagorno-Karabakh to replenish losses in Ukraine. Russia will likely draw further forces from its international deployments in Armenia, Tajikistan, and Syria to replace losses in Ukraine. The Ukrainian General Staff separately reported that Russia plans to deploy 1,500 troops from Russia’s 40th Naval Infantry Brigade (of the Pacific Fleet) to Belarus via rail at an unspecified time. Ukrainian intelligence provided further details on Russia’s initiative to deploy existing pro-Assad units to Ukraine and recruit additional Syrian and Libyan mercenaries on March 13. Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Directorate (GUR) reported that Russia is recruiting mercenaries from Syria and Libya and will pay them around $300-$600 monthly. Russia reportedly opened 14 recruitment centers in Syria and will transport mercenaries to the Chkalovsky airbase in Moscow Oblast after they receive training. The GUR reported that Russia has already gathered “thousands” of Syrian troops, mainly those specialized in heavy artillery and sniper weapons, from the National Defense Forces and 5th Corps—two Russian-backed pro-Assad units. Russia can likely redeploy its established Syrian proxy forces in the National Defense Militia and 5th Corps on relatively short notice, dependent on its airlift capacity. However, even hurriedly trained Syrian and Libyan mercenaries will likely take weeks or months to deploy to Ukraine and will likely be of lower quality than the already poor Russian forces in Ukraine. Russia is unlikely to successfully mobilize the reinforcements and replacements necessary to favorably change the balance of forces around Kyiv in the next week but may successfully generate a longer-term pool of low-quality replacements. The Kremlin may be seeking to take direct control of Belarusian units to deploy them in Ukraine but faces Belarusian resistance. Independent Ukrainian media reported on March 13 that Russian commanders are taking control of Belarusian units to suppress Belarusian soldiers’ efforts to resist going to war in Ukraine and reported “riots” in some Brest-based units. ISW cannot independently confirm these reports through other sources at this time; if confirmed, the reports support ISW’s previous assessment that the Kremlin seeks to bring Belarus into the war but faces resistance from both Belarusian soldiers and Belarusian President Lukashenko. The Ukrainian General Staff additionally reported that Russian forces established a base for repairing and restoring military equipment in Kulichikha, Belarus, (17 km from the border) on March 13. excerpts from latest ISW report
  23. Russia asked China for military help (weapons). https://www.ft.com/content/30850470-8c8c-4b53-aa39-01497064a7b7 Seems, like even the most pessimistic projections on how Russia sucks at this "special operation", were to optimistic...
  24. that's why I did write the UNIAN disclaimer
