  1. Spoilers: I know that, and that's the surprising thing. In other words, it would make sense that she's not trying to find you or trying to find the Jedi Masters if she's dead, but she's not. Why is she there and why isn't she doing the things you would expect her to be doing? Its weird. Did she leave the order at some point? Or is she in hiding with Carth? etc. etc.
  2. I think its pretty clear that if you were LS, Zaalbar also knew that one day he would leave Revan and return to lead his people on Kashyyk, once he had properly fulfilled his life-debt, which I think by the end of the game, he had. He helped Revan in his quest to defeat Malak and save the Republic; that is enough.
  3. Well, I played through the whole thing and while there is occassional lag, I only came across one truly glitchy moment, but I had been playing the thing straight for knows how many hours. So all in all, yes I think its very suitable for Xbox as is. In my observation the game is certainly more than playable and enjoyable on Xbox.
  4. Hi all, Been doing some thinking since I finished the game... gonna go ahead and put stuff in spoiler tags since some of it is definitely spoilers... but please post your thoughts those of you interested in some pointless but hopefully intellectualy stimulating and interesting analysis: Ahh well. Do with them what you like. If you think these questions are stupid and a waste of time, then feel free to say so, but hopefully at least a few people will think of something interesting to say.
  5. Never got my original saber back, did have 3 apprentices (Handmaiden, Bao-Dur, and Atton) plus Visas if you count her, and did have sort of a romance with Visas. I suppose my biggest question up beating it is, where the heck did Darth Nihilis come from...
  6. Some thoughts and a question:
  7. Even in your spoiler you didn't answer the poster's question: is Carth still there even if you choose Revan as a DS female?
  8. I'm pretty sure it'll have to be someone without reason to be so powerful.
  9. You may be right... but it seemed like they change to me... ahh well. Either way at least they change from feat level to feat level, which they didn't do in KOTOR1.
  10. I have a green single bladed lightsaber, Jedi Guardian 15 Jedi Master 10. 22-40, +40 with the PC crystal and an ultima pearl plus I can't remember which saber part upgrades.
  11. I actually found it to be exactly what i expected.
  12. Actually they have given many more animations. The feat animations change as you gain levels. Also, I am not yet fully convinced that the forms don't change things. Its just a little hard to tell because it goes quickly.
  13. And here's a list of the forms: Lightsaber forms: Shii-Cho (Determination)-Good against many enemies and blaster fire Makashi (Contention)-Good against opponents with lightsabers and against force powers, weak against blaster fire Soresu (Resilience)-Defensive stance, good against single opponent and blaster fire. Ataru(Aggression)-Excellent against a single enemy, weak against blaster fire and many enemies. Shien(don't know)-Excellent against blaster fire, good against multiple enemies and against lightsabers. Niman(don't know)-Good against everything. Only style with all bonuses and no penalties, although not very good or excellent against anything. Juyo(don't know)-Very aggressive style, very good against a single enemy and opponents with lightsabers, good against multiple enemies as well, fair vs. blaster fire and force powers. Force forms: Force Mastery: Increases potency of force powers at higher force point cost and makes you more vulnerable to enemy force powers. Force Affinity: Allows you to recharge force points faster during battle Force Channel: Increases non-combat force regeneration rate by a lot, raises damage done by force powers and increases your ability to resist enemy force powers. don't know the last one
  14. Actually this is incorrect. There are 11 FORMS you can learn, 7 lightsaber forms and 4 force forms. And you can learn a total of 7 forms including both. Jedi Masters learn more force forms, etc. etc.
  15. This actually sounds kinda like Empire Strikes Back to me... That certainly didn't wrap up nicely but it was an amazing movie. Same way I feel about KOTOR 2 so far... maybe I'll change my mind when I beat it.
  16. Mild spoilers and whatnot: You have to free the dancer immediately upon winning her. You should have had an option to say you were going to take her back to her man.
  17. You can definitely hit on her, but so far she just told me I'm "too old" and that she doesn't want to make the other females in my group mad.
  18. They brought T3 back and did with him what Bioware SHOULD have done with him the first time: make him like R2. The dialogue where you can't understand what he's saying but must infer it from the responses is classic star wars. Also, they give the PC subtle options between treating T3 like a thing or like a person. This is interesting since Anakin and Luke are the only two examples we ever have of humans in star wars treating droids like people. I appreciated that a lot.
  19. In my opinion, its depth is what makes it feel more like the movies than the comic books. I think its interesting to try and compare what George Lucas seems to be trying to say with his work to what Avellone and co. seem to be saying in theirs. I think KOTOR2 leaves a lot of room for analysis and although what the creators are saying is distinctly different from what the movies are saying, I thinkthe fact that they're saying SOMETHING and that they're saying it well is what makes it in the end feel like the movies. Also, they use a lot of classic motiffs and overtures from the movies so that certainly helps.
  20. I'm still early in the game, one my first planet after Telos (Dantooine in my case), but I think that Kreia is and has been trying to teach her students to be neutral rather than light or dark and it keeps going wrong... i.e. they keep going to the dark side. But they're basically missing her point. She's not saying to be evil, she's just pointing out the necessity for balance that she sees. She sees that at times when Jedi blindly jump to someone's aid, it can turn out poorly. She sees that blind allegiance to your friends can lead to you being used. But she is also ultimately fighting for the good in the galaxy. That's my prediction based on what's happened so far.
  21. Light is (can be) energy. Energy is NOT however light. If you want to get into the nitty gritty of light, it can be considered be consiting of waves or particles, depending on the situation. It can be defined as energy (i think). But like heat is a form of energy, energy is not always heat, etc if you take into account the conservation of energy principle, ie, that energy cannot be created or destroyed, you could say like for the lightsaber example: Blade is made of pure energy. As it is continually drawing power (otherwise it would last forever without a recharge) it must also be losing energy. The energy lost in this way is probably in the form of heat and light and sound. Oh and the reason the electromagnerically generate arc wave blade of pure energy is almost scientifically sound is coz i got it from the Star Wars Visual Dictionary, with ic a compilation from the LucasFilm Archives <{POST_SNAPBACK}> A number of scientific points: light is made of photons whose motion is defined by a wave-function. It has no rest mass, but it moves at the speed of light, so it has a relativistic kinetic energy related to its wavelength and speed. But a photon cannot be described as "energy" in the most technical sense. Heat is made up of the vibration and collision of many particles. The faster they move the more kinetic energy they have, and in large ensembles of particles, we call this "thermal energy" or heat. No onto science fiction points: the lightsaber has a power supply but it only actually drains power when it strikes something, which is why lightsabers can last so long without running out of power. It is not continually draining power. Also, according to physics, energy DOES have mass in sense. The faster something moves, i.e. the more kinetic energy it has relative to other things, the more mass it appears to have. Weird eh? In any case, "pure energy" is a purely unscientific term, and is used here to workaround the fact that no one could get light to do what lightsabers do. Point is, since the science is so inconsequential for star wars, in my opinion star wars should almost certainly be thought of as fantasy, not science fiction, and discussions such as this one don't have much of a point.
  22. Hmmm... off topic, but technically, energy does have mass. That's according to Einstein anyway "
  23. Its supposed to be like this: Single saber: damage bonus=(strength bonus)*1.5 (bigger bonus lumped into one attack) Two sabers: main hand bonus=(strength bonus)*1.0 offhand bonus=(strength bonus)*0.5 (extra attack, bonus divided between strikes)
