Hmmm... You must be new here.Anyway, I did, what's the problem? What was wrong with what I said or do you simply not like it because you don't agree with it? You and a few others have stated this so you are not alone but the irony and hypocrisy in this statement lies in the fact that none of you complain about Tales Of games having no relation, or Final Fantasy, Elder Scrolls, Fallout or Ys. While some of those are Jrpg, the subject to comparison remains the same so I'd like someone to enlighten me how having no relation calls for the need to be called another name other than Baldurs Gate III or thereby fails to qualify it when everyone here plays other franchises that do this very thing and it's never bothered them before... Not that we know for sure it's going to be called BG3 anyway. No problem i have just never seen anyone criticise bg2 like that before. You are entitled to your opinion but im going to go out on a limb here and say that you are on your own here. It is a very unique and unusual view you have there on bg2

Really interested in seeing these results. No spoilers please so it stays in this forum I dont want it getting moved because the General discussion part seems to get the most amount of traffic. So please answer based on your opinion about how powerful the class is and not other factors like how fun or boring the class is to play or how buggy the class is or anything like that. Please vote away! Also feel free to explain why you voted the way you did! We live in a democracy after all !! (apologies if you live in China or NK!) I voted most powerful Wizzy for obvious reasons and weakest Priest as IMO they are to limited in choice (no grimiore) and most of there spells are to under-balanced (+5 to one or two stats is of no good to me) and you are actually better of just auto-attacking instead of casting them. Also there Heal over time spells are of little use compared to potions and the heal you get from the athletics skill because when you are taking damage you dont need healing over time you need it all asap. Thanks

Who ranted this crap?

No chants cant but invocations can The chants have a huge aura so you can easy reach your frontline guys if you have a chanter as a backline guy. I think the aura is 5m from memory (without INT boost). This is more then enough to reach your entire party. Trust me dont use a chanter as a front-line guy on POTD. You will get interrupted to much. 8-9 second cast and recovery times (with heavy armor) is just not doable and not worth it. If you are engaged by more then one enemy you will have incredible difficulty trying to fire of spells and summons Also the chant that gives +20% reload time is currently bugged and actually giving +40% boost to guns. Use it if you want but i recommend not to because it is to powerful and makes the game to easy especially when combined with weapons like the red hand

What i cant figure out is why would you introduce changes that give you less choice, flexibility and options. Making Priests and druids only being able to choose from 2 casts per level was a huge mistake. Every fight you just cast the same spells over and over again in deadfire where in the first game you tailored your spell casting to suit each encounter.

Your going to run into some very serious problems having a chanter as a frontline character and I mean very serious problems. Because you are front line that means you will be getting hit a lot by multiple enemies at once if you are playing on POTD. This means you will be getting interrupted a lot so don’t expect to be able to get off summons spells when you need them nor other powerful chanter spells. Your chants will work fine but your invocations will be almost useless because of the above problem especially if you are wearing heavy armour. Look for casters that have quick cast times and for multiclass frontlines. Wizards are best because a lot of there defensive buff are almost instant cast.

You totally don’t need a priest on a POTD playthrough. IMO they don’t contribute as much as potential prospects. It’s even a struggle to have multi class priests as frontliners because there casting and recovery times are too slow. A paladin with its healing capabilities is more then enough. My personal opinion is that the vast majority of priests spells (especially the first 6 levels) have been to over balanced and nerfed to much. There spells just aren’t really that much more effective then Autoattacking. I have always been hopeful for priests to get a huge buff in patches but they are being neglected

Please don’t say this.

v3.0.1 is now available on the Beta Branch
bigbazoopa replied to Cdiaz's question in Patch Beta Bugs and Support
I had the opposite happen to me in my last playthrough. I had the random events going off like a Christmas tree. Every time I jumped to another map a random event triggered. It was pretty frustrating because a few of them where to high level for me. -
Yeah this. After the abominations of sword coast legends and neverwinter one would expect bg3 to not be up to bg2 standard To be honest the more I think about it wizards of the coast just aren’t that good at publishing video games anymore.

Any word if it will be turned base or rtwp? Also if cdpr are doing it it will probably have an enormous budget so that is promising
