I think 5 no-subclass mages could be quite verstile. Also probably 5 druids or priests of something. I'd choose basing on verstility of the subclass. Trickster also seems pretty strong overall.

What about a chanter build? Does the crit chance (50% to grant a phrase) count for every pellet? Should i multi with fighter or rogue? Street fighter seems a bit squishy - would trickster do the job better?

This guide is just amazing. It explains in depth a lot of the mechanics that was above my level of understanding previously. I seriously think You'd make a great teacher, becasue I was never particularly good at maths and yet I think I kinda get what you wrote

Would it work with dual blunderbuss or dual unarmed?

I think monk is a no brainer since Geralt had his body undergo changes during the trial of the grasses.

You could go helwalker + paladin if Geralt can skip the drug stuff of Nalpazca. Use sword and some magic. Even a helwalker plus priest (Wael for the quen at first level if I remember corectly) could be acceptable playstyle wize.
