  1. Hot damn. Did I really see at the end, Mike shooting 2 bad guys, one of which was standing behind the other, out of the line of fire? *rewatches* Yes indeed.
  2. I am positive they will all return in ME3, just like all the NPC's in ME1 returned in ME2. They just will not be recruitable, most likely, as that is tougher to create content for. Guest spots are fine with me. Well, assuming ME3 gameplay will be similar to, if not exactly the same as, ME2, it just seems like a waste to recruit a whole new squad again.
  3. If I understand correctly she've said that bad dancer was always complaining about his testicles being the main reason of his bad performance. And Interplay in this metaphor is the testicles, while Black Isle is the dancer. BTW, I disagree with her & think that BI is da best! So there is no need to argue with me Ah, thank you. That's actually too funny. I LOL'd EDIT: Delayed or not, Alpha Protocol just became a MEGA WIN
  4. Apologies, I don't speak russian, and Babelfish wouldn't translate for me. Interplay is the supervisor telling BIS, "Take this paint roller and this single bucket of paint, and paint me a Mona Lisa. Oh and we can only budget you for one week's work." I remember THAC0 reset when you went over level 20. The effects of Ice Knife were permanent, and I believe cumulative, unless the affected character died and was resurrected. Stupid cranium rats. Luckily it was later fan-patched. Okay we'll be here til Alpha Protocol is released if we're gonna list PS:T bugs. I'll shut up now.
  5. It wouldn't have been a stretch to make Liara squad member in ME2 (I'm willing to bet that she is a squadie in ME3), but Wrex, Ashley and Kaiden? Devs at bioboards have numerous times said that they don't have infinite resources, so why use them on squad members who might be already dead to some people? Okay so BIO doesn't have infinite resources, I won't argue that. But instead of using resources to create 10 new companions (including Kasumi) and 2 returnees they could have created 6 and brought back Liara, Wrex and one of Ashley/Kaidan instead. And if Wrex is dead, then you recruit whoever replaces him as the Urdnot chief in ME2. I dunno, Wrex always lived in my ME games. And yet if you pay attention and play the game thoroughly they can all, as Enoch says, easily survive. So if not one of them dies, and not one of them returns in ME3, what's the point of ME2?
  6. Again delayed - FAIL. Hmmm... I'll reserve judgement til I play it at least. A bad workman quarrels with his tools. Errrmmm... so is Interplay the bad workman or the tools? I'll agree that Herve Caen (yes I misspelled his name before) is a tool, but I've said enough about him. If Interplay is the workman, does that mean the tools are at fault, or the workman is inept?
  7. Justice is awesome, I agree. I just picked him up this afternoon -- er, yesterday. I don't have Viconia yet, but as soon as I do Alistair 2.0 is gone.
  8. I haven't found anything memorable in the locked chests so far. Sigh, just more of the same ol' DA:O. Or you could .
  9. EDIT: How can Alpha Protocol be considered a fail when no one has even played it yet? The decisions regarding any of the cancelled BIS games were made by the suits at Interplay, and Herve Cain is a jerk. I personally found Drakensang to be bland and generic and boring. But, to each their own.
  10. Do we have a link for this? I hope this isn't the case. Hell, they were able to bring everyone possible back from ME into ME2, and it really wouldn't have been a stretch to make it possible to recruit Liara, Wrex, and Ashley/Kaiden. If none of them are coming back in ME3 why have so gorram many of 'em? Why have all the loyalty missions? Some of which could have implications in ME3 (please BIO more than just emails though). In fact, why have ME2 at all, since it was all about building the team.
  11. No co-op, it's a single-player game. IMHO, it's one of Obsidz's true strengths to make a solid entertaining single-player game. One thing I'm really looking forward is the timed dialogue system. I like the idea of thinking fast about how to respond to what people are telling you, and knowing my choices will affect how the game plays out. I also can't wait to karate chop bad guys. June can't get here quick enough.
  12. Oh no, that's much worse! Apologies
  13. The current consensus seems to be that the persistent CTDs are afflicting the Windows 7-64 bit OS. Which, incidentally, is what I've got. Am I right to assume you're not using Win 7-64? That's just it. I am using Win 7-64. Found this which may be of help. Possible crash fix
  14. Maybe the truth is he couldn't handle all the negative backlash from his picture on the box cover.
  15. ....Glad my lack of money spared me doing the beta-test for Bioware. Hmm, I haven't experienced anything as bad as that so far. Two CTD's overall, only one without a recent save. I am saving just about every time I turn a corner or have a seemingly important dialogue now though... just in case. Load times were worse in the OC and framerate's been pretty constant for both. I usually only play for 60 minutes or so at a sitting. Maybe that has something to do with better load times, dunno. I've just been looking through the DA PC Tech forum thingy over at the bio boards. Wow. I consider myself one of the lucky ones.
  16. Sigrun is cool. That is all. Except I made the mistake of thinking she is a warrior, based on her appearance (dwarven armor), and swapped her for Oghren when she joined us. Not wanting two rogues, I had to backtrack quite a ways to an old save. I guess forgetting to save for awhile is a sign that I'm getting into the game, heh. Just experienced my first, and hopefully last, CTD though - . Bah. Still feels like I'm acquiring quests more quickly than I can solve them. I get the feeling I'll be running around like a headless chicken. And I think there are too many new and unnecessary skills/talents etc. It gives the impression that Bio is trying to do too much for one expansion. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm still hoping it all comes together before the end. Despite that, Awakening is becoming more fun to play as I go along. The - I don't want to say uniqueness, but definitely different appearance - of the different areas I've been through so far helps with the appeal.
  17. I'm proud of you Di. I have seen the sun rise on the sandy beaches of Hawaii. I have seen the sun set on the coasts of Honshu. But neither dusk nor dawn compares the sumptuous beauty of the Geth Pulse Rifle. Nb - make sure you use it with maxed out inferno ammo, and you'll never have to ammo switch again. +1 And the really cool thing is it's not a Shepard exclusive weapon, so any squaddie who can use an assault rifle can use the GPR.
  18. That happened to me in one spot pretty close to the beginning of the game. I restarted and disabled all the fan-made mods I was using for Origins. Everything was okay after that. I dunno which mod(s) specifically were causing the problem, I just disabled them all. EDIT: They weren't any mods I could use in Awakening anyway, such as the respec potion, the ancient elven boots fix, and the "skip the fade" mod. I think that was it. Thanks, sleepless friend. Problem solved. No probs. Should add I haven't run into any other problems so far heh. Little further into the game now and I seem to be acquiring quests all over the place. Gives me a feeling that the game is a little disorganized as yet, but I'm sure it'll all work itself out in the end. And I have to say I don't miss any of the gear I couldn't bring with me from Origins anymore. I just wish I wasn't so broke.

  20. Still waiting for my copy of Dragon Age:Awakening to arrive in the mail, so have begun a new game of Origins while I wait. Holy crap switching from ME2 controls back into DA:O is awkward on the PC.
  21. I wouldn't be surprised if it came to PC 6 months to a year after the console releases like GTA IV did. Speaking of Red Dead Redemption... a new video is out. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/life-in-red-dead/63316 Oh... mai... gawd... just when I think my hype meter couldn't get any higher... Holy crap. No game ever actually is, but if this game is close to being as good as it looks, I may have to finally buy a PS3.
  22. Yatzhee sort of summed it up in his Half-life 2: Episode 2 review, when he called it the middle-child; Fun to play and with some interesting stuff going on, but basically just filler because episode 3 is on the - seemingly very distant - horizon to wrap things up. I could see that applying to ME2 as well.
  23. Ah, never read the comics. Should I? Are they any good?
  24. Strange. *shrug* Dunno, she should have been there. Yeah it was definitely confusing that she would change so much in such a short time, given both an Asari's lifespan, and the fact that the rest of your old team just became more of what they already were. Maybe it's her mother's genetics shining through.
