  1. Old English Accent Stolen from Conan Obrien "I'll baste your turkey good sir!"
  2. Yeah this episode had a lot to reflect upon. At first I didn't like the idea of the but towards the end it was kind of nice I suppose especially fitting for a character like Desmond.
  3. Friends and I boxed again. This time I only went one bout but I got some nice shots in and only got hit decent once, however there were quite a few near misses that would have taken my head off. But I suppose thats what you get going against someone who is like 30 pounds heavier. But more awesomer is that I've already finished one of my econ classes and I'm going to finish the other one by the end of the week. After that I'll be able to do at least 3 accounting assignments a week if I'm feeling lazy and I should be done with that in like 2 weeks and a half and only have 2 exams left. So I'll pretty much have 1 class for the last month and a qaurter of this semester. Quite awesome, quite.
  4. Oh sweet, a vendor sim game. Can I be the fat Italian with a baseball bat? But seriously it looks pretty good. Are you going to be able to actually post your work further down the line or are you not allowed to?
  5. Shoot em up. I had heard this movie was good from someone who only a few days ago I thought I could trust. I wasn't too impressed. I'm a mild fan of Clive Owen and he did a fine job but I suppose this movie just wasn't for me. I'm not a huge fan of over the top action and this was no short of being ridiculous but even so there were other problems. They tried to introduce backgrounds of the characters in horribly action cliche ways that were entirely retarded and unwarranted. I can understand that this movie was a parody of action movies but it just wasn't funny or all that awesome. Blood splatter and crazy gun shot wounds were cool but for the most part it was just all over the place and not awesome. 6.5/10 - Needed more bewbies and less trying to satirize action movies.
  6. Noein was alright but once things went late game it was like why damnit why do you have to do this to me :'( Last Exile like forever holds a place in my heart and has sustained multiple watchings however its been a while and was never anything amazing but definitely something I'd recommend. My (mai?) hime? In which case it was pretty bad. Number 1 its not a comedy and has a female lead and predominately female cast so like drama and like character interaction is pretty lame and fights aren't cool and looking back now I have no idea what compelled me to watch the show whatsoever. I wouldn't recommend it.
  7. ...he...he kind of looks like my step uncle. But then again I suppose all English people look the same with the exception of Walshingham whose like Brad Pitt banged some hot chick who ended up banging Hulk Hogan then like Jesus came down and like intertwined the man stuff and thus the second coming of Walshingham aka Jesus 2.0 (now with Norse god bad ass-ness)
  8. 1 answer Tengen Toppen Gurren Lagann. Most epicest show ever made. Since watching it I haven't watched anything becuase it was no where near the capacity of awesome that ttgl was.
  9. GDC really destroyed quite a few games for me. As of now GTA 4 is basically all I want. Army of 2 Star Wars Force Unleashed Too Human Street Fighter and a few other games looked absolutely horrible. Game play wise all of them looked really bad. Fable 2 was looking better but combat is still very much on the fence for me. I don't like having 1 button combat. I'd rather a full on combat oriented game like fable 1.
  10. What a bunch of psychos.
  11. I've heard stories about an angry Walshingham before but they sounded little more than myth. I now see the error in my ways. Seeking vengeance through the subtle but destructive means like murdering an entire family of pandas with your bare hands or disqualifying someones paper work by changing U's into W's or y's just becuase.
  12. Well see I don't exactly want to create a game per say just something to show concept and ideas of my game so that I can one day put all my ideas and stuff and then sell it to some developer for like millions of dollars and be rich without actually having to like do anything that costs too much money or time so that when my idea fails horribly I'm not poor and homeless.
  13. BEWBIIIIIES! Looks like some cool stuff to me though.
  14. The Matchstick Men: I've had mixed feelings about Nicolas Cage. I mean the dude was in Face Off, The Rock, and a few other movies that were quite awesome when I was just a young lad. However, with movies like National Treasure, Next, Ghost Rider, etc, how are you supposed to respect someone like that? But this movie was quite good in my opinion. It was playing on cable and I missed the begining but I'm pretty sure I came in early enough so that I didn't miss anything too important and Cage did pretty well playing his character. The story was fresh, the characters and acting were very good, and I honestly can say there was nothing about the movie that I didn't like as far as I can remember. 8.5 prison inmate beatings because you inappropriately touched your hot loli daughter out of 10 except she was like 24 in the movie so it's all natural yeah buddy.
  15. Update. I started messing around with the program and doing the tutorials. Well I was able to put my "sprite" onto a colored background and then it was like ok lets make this thing move and i was like ok. And it once again gave me the right coding and stuff and told me to put it in the already premade game code but i guess i did it wrong becuase there were errors in the script and then I quit because I mean thats pretty inexcusable although the tutorial was pretty horribly written if you were talking to newbs becuase it didn't cover anything about brackets, \\\, or anything about structure and they'd be like just make the coding look like <this> and they'd have one familiar piece of code inside what you are supposed to copy paste into it and it was just confusing and scary. Done forever.
  16. As an update I found that XNA has released a few free tools which are supposedly really good. http://creators.xna.com/Education/newtoxna.aspx I'm going to download this stuff and maybe some magic will happen tomorrow and I'll be the next peter moneleux and I'll be able to come on here and be like i got this tree right and like it grows as you progress through the game but really itd just be a tree growing simulation and there really is no game.
  17. Okay. I know the subject of making video games is highly complex and usually requires schooling and a team of capable people. But I don't have time for all that nonsense. I need to know the bare essentials of what makes a video game, specifically coding and what not. Where do I start, are there any sites that are dedicated to getting beginners to understand the type of coding that goes into a game and what sort of programs are needed to simulate this code. Realistically I want to create an excruciatingly brief game that allows me to have at least a novice knowledge of coding and what not. Just to get a taste so that I realize it's too difficult and can quit and never try again. Thank you.
  18. That'd be a no on the artist list. I have standards to keep and if no one is allowed to see my work then my abilities can never be called into question. That is the true wisdom of any talented man.
  19. I'm sorry for being blunt but if your signature is any sort of reflection of your skills I wouldn't even bother. I mean practice makes perfect and everything but you have a long way to go, I myself honestly had quite a few tricks up my sleeve back when I used to use photoshop frequently but over the years I've lost skill exponentially as seen in my last photoshop of someone in a Ryu costume for Halloween. I haven't been around the "scene" lately so I can't give any good sites but the key to being a good photoshopper is tutorials, tutorials, and more tutorials. Also having a good set of brushes/fonts/stamps and mastery over flow/scatter effects/blending options/etc will lend itself well. Once you get farther in the game, masking and all sorts of complex stuff will come into play but I never really got much farther than that. But either way you don't have to be skilled or even talented, for the most part of me being a nubby I used to just use some tricks of the trade to just make images or sigs look extra polished, clean, and professional. It's all the details, 1px borders, simple blur and blending options to enhance photos, adjustment layers, etc. Edit: A critique of your current sig is needed to show some flaws. Number one, the background is pure chaos. It looks like you rendered some stuff then went crazy with filters, which is the pinnacle of nub photoshopping, don't do it trust me. It's better to use various brushes with different settings to build up a multilayer foundation for a background. You can add color as you go and what not and it'll really look great if you put the time in. The second thing is color, the background and the rendered picture aren't really in the same pallet of color. I'm no artist or designer but those two tones do not go with each other at all. There is no blending whatsoever between them. This is the point where you can simply duplicate your rendered image like 3 - 6 times and lay the effects on with blending options. Things like levels, curves, color balance, etc mixed with like hard light, soft light, and other options with opacity and blurs will make the image really stand out but most of all stand together with your background instead of simply against it. Text is another key component to a sig. You have to have a font that accentuates the colors and style of the signature. The colors you picked for both fonts weren't good, I find it best to usually always go black or white with either stroke or some other blending options, text should always be as simple as humanly possible and easily read so long as it fits. And lastly anything you do, just throw on a nice simple border and sometimes it'll make a world of difference. Edit2: Not trying to be mean. Just giving pointers brosive.
  20. why not? plz tell
  21. I was completely entranced by the first season. It has declined quite thoroughly since but I still watch it. I'd say this season is just one step lower. I'm just guessing that the producers are desperate and they are just throwing as much stuff out there as possible to try and give us the run around but it's not mysterious you're just going off on crazy tangents while never solving the core mysteries. To me, once the hatch was opened it was a pandoras box of fail. I mean sure when they were on the search for other hatch's and what not seeking out the islands mysteries it was a good show but now it's like character plot has taken a ride in the trunk and now everythings all hoopla. That's my two cents but hey they are thinking of perma banning pennies in the states so I guess they don't mean a damn thing.
  22. WOw that bit at the end. Kate is one crazy trick hoe.
  23. Sounds awesome. As far as the game goes is it good? I've read that there is no single player so it's pretty much you vs computers or you vs some other poor chap and games are like hours long.
  24. I went to school. It rained a little bit. I wish it rained 10x as much. I wish it would wash away my sorrow. It didn't. My accounting homework isn't going to finish itself. I cry.
  25. Yeah Code Geass was pretty cool. I wasn't digging the begining of the show but it grew on me. Still some flaws in the show but good stuff. I've been waiting on season 2, I need my fill of pizza hut advertisement and loligoodness.
