I think you are mistaken. When she forces herself on Atton, then heals Hanharr, and various of other small points of the game makes it obvious to the player that she will betray the PC. In NWN and KotOR Biwoare tried to use foreshadow to hint, but they really over did the foreshadowing. Bioware tries to be sneaky and failed. Obsidian right out tells the player.

KotOR was not their worse game. NWN was far far far far far worse than KotOR. BG 2 was worse than BG 1 on so many levels and Throne of Bhaal was just abysmal. An Innkeeper selling +3 weapons! Freaking ludricrous. Especially when a hostile and needy army is right outside his freaking door.

For there to be a plot twist both the character and the player needs to not know what is going on. There was no plot twist in KotOR 2.

Bio's best game was BG 1. Their worse so far has been NWN. Their worse expansion was Throne of Bhaal.

Okay, where was the plot twist in KotOR 2, Volourn? Oh, don't say Kreia's betrayal because that wasn't a plot twist for Obsidian made no effort to hide the fact that she was going to betray you. The designers of tha game have stated that it wasn't a plot twist.

The first time I say Star Wars I was in my towards the end of my first year of college. Wait a minute... DAMNIT! That was nearly 15 years ago!?!?! Man, I am getting old.

Like I said, Bioware likes to insult their players' intelligence while Obsidian did not. There was no plot twist in KotOR 2. There were poorly written and executed plot twists in NWN and KotOR 1. I so want to say "So freaking what" to Malak when he told me I was Revan. I so wanted to say that "I already knew that, dumbass. Sith lord? Sith dumbass."

There was no plot twist in KotOR 2. How can there be a poor one when there isn't one. Even Chris A. himself said that there was no plot twist in KotOR 2. If you saw a plot twist in the game where is it? Also I didn't say Valsharess betrayed the PC. All I said there was betrayal involved in HotU's story. Mistie betraying the Valsharess for one. Besides, Valsharess was the percieved MBG for the majority of the game so I place her in that catagory even if you do not. As for Jade Empire, I don't care if it is M rated or not. I think Developers and Publishers are hung up on these ratings way too much. They should just tell the story as realistically as possible and let the ESRB worry about the ratings. The whole Revan thing was obvious, if you examined all the clues given to you. You would have to be a blind uneducated adolecent not to see the "You Are Revan" twist by the time you left Dantooine.

Besides, in the way how the KotOR 2 develops there is no central main baddie. That is one of the reasons I like it. Just because Kreia is the last one killed doesn't make her the main bad guy. You aren't saving the world, the galaxy, a civilization, and other bullcrap.

The difference in KotOR 2 is that she was never really on your side and as the player you know this and even deep down the character knows this. At least that was my interpretation. Obsidian didn't try to insult our intelligence by making it a "plot twist" unlike Bioware. Valsharess was close enough for government work and their was betrayal involved.

SoU main bad guy was a Medusa, and last time I checked a medusa is female. We weren't going against a Maeldor (I think that is what they call the male of the medusan species). If the Valsharess isn't female then the drow are even more twisted than I thought.

Lionheart had good qualities? Where was that? Did I miss them?

Trust in the Hades, people. The game sucks. kbned, I do not bait for a flame or any such nonsense. I just post what I post, no more and no less.

I'm not going to say you're trolling, but you're awfully opinionated about something you seem to know very little about. Aside from FPS games, there have been MMORPGs, 3rd Person Action, heck, even a pinball game on the various generations of the engine. The modding community of UT2k4 even has Total Conversions that alter it to a racing game, platformer, or even RTS. There have also been numerous succesful attempts at integrating RPG features. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No interest in MMOPRGs or 3rd person action, and I stop playing pinball games and racers back when I was a teen. If there has been successful attempts in integrating RPG features then where is the CRPG game? I don't see it at the store shelves and that is what matters.

Now, it is rude to assume that the game he has is pirated. It may be a correct assumption in which we should all laugh at him, but it is still rude.

I still wouldn't touch an ATI card, even if it was given to me for free. I would sell it and get an NVidia card. Never had problems with a NVidia card with any of the games I have played.
