  1. Jumping in unknown blackness might be fun for some, especially those who are lemming descendent. That does remind me when I first played Tomb Raider. It was in the lst stages of the game where we had to get through this huge crevice with lava below. I jumped so many times just to die in the lava to hear Lara Craft scream. BWAAHAAAHAAAA! Um...
  2. I have and it is completely wrong. No one is 100% liberal and no one isn't 100% conservative. I myself am about 50/50.
  3. I have been playing the X Box version. Since I got my some of my upgrades on my PC done I plan on getting the PC version.
  4. I recently had to do a system restore and I have also did some upgrading. I now have a Soundblaster X FI sound card which is very sweet. I can now get full function out of my 6.1 speakers. The next bits I need to upgrade is my hard drives. With all the PDF files, music files, video files, and games I have 240 gigs is just not enough. I need to get myself a couple of 400 to 500 gig hard drives. Then I plan on maxing my RAM, and once that is done I will be getting that X1900 All In Wonder Video card. :D
  5. I have been trying to broaden my horizons on the games I play and I have had some success. Besides, if anything that Werewolf incident in Bloodlines showed me I need to increase my twitch factor skills just a bit.
  6. Here is my current desktop.
  7. The issue here is not if it is better or worse but if it is acceptable or not acceptable. Such as both Oblivion (for the PC) and Neverwinter Nights 2 will have very powerful tool system for making Mods. This is a great incentive to get these games which adds a great amount of replayability, but there are other games that do not have an easy to use tools system such as Doom 3, FEAR (if memory serves), and Half Life 2. Hell, I have heard that Bioware's next PC game Dragon Age, won't have a fully developed tools system such as NWN 2 and Oblivion. With the trend heading towards shorter games is that acceptable for the audience Bioware has buuilt up over the years? Lets not keep this just about Oblivion versus NWN 2 here.
  8. That is exactly my point. Its been around for 10 years with only sigificant changes have been the increase in the quality of graphical representation. Is that acceptable to you or should w have better by now?
  9. Well, for example the issue of Z Axis. This one will never go away. Some games have a fully developed Z Axis years ago while some other game types don't have an accessable one one today. Another feature would be a full controlled camera angle syste, full voice over versus partial voice overs, and so forth and so on.
  10. Over the last few weeks I ahve been going over a good range of games for the PC and it seems that some games have a certain lack of features that makes them seem dated before release. If one does a side by side comparison to, lets say TES 4: Oblivion and the information released about Neverwinter Nights 2, Obsidian's "new" game seems dated in its functionality compared to Bethesda game. Of course someone will bring up that I comparing apples and oranges in an lame attempt to defend Obsidian but that isn't the point I am trying to make here. The point I am making is that is it acceptable to make a "new" game that has the old style gameplay but just sprucier graphics or should we, as gamers and consumers, demand better/more than that?
  11. Close enough for government work.
  12. I think that we need more villains that aren't the stereotypical villain. I mean they are ruthless bastards but they are justified in their ruthlessness and the havoc they cause. They aren't megalomaniacal, have an insane lust for power, or even psychotic. Perhaps a bit sociopathic in their behavior and have little qualm in killing innocents if it achieves his goals. The Operative in Serenity is fairly close to this idea.
  13. If you play one emotionally troubled spikey haired kid with a big arse sword you have played them all.
  14. Heya guys, Haven't been around for several weeks. Computer is down and I will only be able to post sporadically. Um... Who has been using my alt?
  15. You have 2 "no's," Pixie Stick.
  16. FREEDOM CHIPS! (w00t) Dan, where is Eric Estrada when you need him?!?!?!?
  17. That sucks.
  18. A monthly fee? I only pay a yearly fee of $20 USD.
  19. I don't use ATMs. I do direct buys.
  20. It's CARTH!
  21. What I like to do cause some fear among the players in my campaign is to have the main bad guy get up and personal. Such as I was running this Urban Arcana campaign in d20 Modern. The main baddie was an ancient black dragon named Mercurabon. He has is claws deep in government and criminal organizations. He wanted the last surviving family members of the bloodline of Saint George, the dragon slayer, dead and corrupt the holy sword of St. George. Well, one of the PCs happened to be the direct lineage. Thing his Mercurabon used his cronies to good use. As a distraction and went after the PC himself. Mind you these were 5th level characters at the time. Well, in his human guise he killed the NPC guard and basically hauled the PC to his car, a late model Monte Carlo and was to drive off. It seemed that he needed to do a blood sacrifice in order to corrupt the sword it well, this would be poetic justice to use one of the last of the dragonslayers as a sacrifice in this. He was feeling pretty good for himself til he had to deal with a downtown Denver traffic jam. The PC used this to her advantage and slammed her elbow unexpectedly into his nose then ran out of the car and alerted the police that she was being kidnapped. mercurabon enraged gets out of his car and becomes a full dragon and breathes acid at the police. In the resulting chaos the PC ran away, scared out of her wits and the player breathing a sigh of relief at getting away. He then went to plan B.
  22. BWAAAAHAAAHAA! (w00t) BWAAAAHAAAHAA! (w00t)
  23. I am not talking about that, Volourn. Are you being particularly thickheaded today? I am talking about how their lead designer over hyped the game saying they are going top implement a bunch of crap then failed to deliver.
