  1. I once considered handing out "Happy Native Oppression Day" cards on Thanksgiving. Because I felt like being controversial. Oh, back when I was young, before my premature grey...
  2. Ooh ooh, add me, add me.

  5. Quick question for the forum. Who here chews tobacco and is in a relationship? Is she mentally challenged or are you just ridiculously rich? You'll have to excuse the off-color commentary. But how does your significant other put up with it? Living in Texas, I occasionally see people who chew tobacco. It seems like the most disgusting habit that is legally allowed in the US. Yet these individuals still have relations with females. It blows my mind.
  6. It's not religious to me nor to most people I know. My extended family inconsistently will say a prayer over meals on Christmas, but that's the full extent of it. As far as I can tell, it's a combination of gross commercialism and an excuse for a family gathering.
  7. The sister does that too. I'm sitting at 0% corruption right now. Going for a fully 0% campaign before I restart and try to get that 100% corruption. I'm 21%. I think that's the most you can get without slaughtering everyone. It isn't. How far are you? Edit: And what evil things have you done so far? Can't think of anything else I got for a choice to do bad. You've done all that and you are still only at 21%? You missed at least one that I can think of that doesn't require killing. Have you tried trashing all the homes in spree and heaven's peak? Send your minions up and they will bash down the doors and loot the building. If you want the full list of evil acts I have it around here somewhere. I didn't even know about that choice. And the homes, I figured they'd get angry and I'd have to end up killing them all. Still kind of wish I did that, though. I got the uncorrupted level 3 spells.
  8. That guy sure is annoying. Data entry may not be a glamorous job, but I'll be damned if I'm going to accept criticism about my job being "easy money" by a fellow who can't even 10-key.

    Ironic isn't it?

I won't say he's 12. I was 19 myself before I stopped typing in ALL CAPS. Which is telling about me a bit. In general, I'd only guess he's relatively new to the internet, or at least message boards/chat. And the only reason I say that is if he'd been around message boards for a while, he would have been conditioned to communicate a little more clearly. Let's not be too presumptuous. Also, he's a fan of KOTOR. So, welcome! Try to work on the communication skills and try to forgive us for being so critical.
  10. The name recognition still holds. Maybe not directly with individual gamers, but with the industry, which automatically boosts its following and interest. Nothing exists in isolation, Sand. A gamer does not have to have played something to recognize a name and derive interest from others.

    Ironic isn't it?

That's not because of esl. He shows to have the language down. He does have mispellings, but he's abusing symbols (ampersand, most specifically) and I see no glaring issues with word order. He may be esl, but that's not the origin of the issue. The run on sentence is the most problematic, something that's not particularly used in any language I've heard of. But my knowledgebase is limited for that. His mispelling of superficially shows an understanding of english phonetics, but not the actual word itself. He also uses phrases I would think to be uncommon among those who have insufficient knowledge of english "as well" "face of the earth."
  12. It's like I'm back at steampowered.com reading a thread by that one guy who seems to have gotten lost and mistaken it for 4chan. I know you're making a joke, but still... god, I hated that poster.
  13. Calling speed limits silly is akin to calling laws against waving loaded guns around silly. Only a car is a bit more dangerous.
  14. My contentions with having everyone become Jedi was two fold. 1) Jedi overshadow all other character classes as KOTOR games have so far been designed. Your idea addresses one possibility for handling this. In a three character game with only two party members possibly being Jedi, you have a third which must be a non-Jedi. Would indirectly force exposure to non-Jedi classes. 2) Not everyone can become a Jedi. This was something I feel George Lucas hinted early on that I fully like. Whether or not people like the idea of midichlorians, it was always some component hereditary. Luke was never just some farmboy, he was the son of a Jedi. So, I think your idea resolves a functional complaint I have, but not a conceptual complaint. Since I'm a function over concept guy, I like it! Sounds like a compromise to me.

    Ironic isn't it?

That's not ironic at all. I'm not sure what that is.
  16. My vies have really only changed in one regard. Climate change. I now fully accept that there is likely additional factors aside from rising pollution and carbon emissions, with the possibility that these additional factors are more significant factors. My feelings about religion have not changed. I parted with Christianity because of a difference in philosophy. I feel that place of birth and indocrination should not be contributing factors towards eternal torment. I still believe Christianity fully disagrees with me on this point. However, I've never believed poorly of its followers in general nor in the purpose it serves in their lives. I'd also still like to see Atheism as a religion get greater public exposure and that has not changed. Many people still view it as an absence of belief or faith, while for many (but not all) atheists, it is a system of belief and faith. WoT here, as well as other forums, delight me in revealing that we're not as uncommon as is traditionally percieved. My feelings about politics have not significantly changed. I am still apathetic to parties and dislike the party system by principle. My feelings to politics in general is still mostly apathetic. I accept, as with many things, that I do not know as much as I should to form an opinion. Though my feelings on all subjects I feel competent to form an opinion have not changed. IE abortion, violent media My faith in humanity is still in rapid flux. Individuals like Meta and Walsh tempt me to improve it, however others flaunt a very proud ignorance which sets me back to where I started. A cumulative effect may be causing a general lowering, but my field of education encourages more of an understanding than a blanket summary. I still believe there are no girls on the internet. With one possible exception. The presence of only one exception does not encourage me to change my rule as it is surely a fluke which will be rectified on its own with time. *hi-five* I've always wanted to open up an atheist church. Which basically means coffee shop, arcade, and movie theatre with tax exempt status. You're invited for the Grand Opening.
  17. Radar detectors, not speed detectors. Radar detectors are devices you put in your car that tell you when a police officer is using a speed detector on your vehicle. Some actually claim to block the police officer from detecting your speed, though I have no idea how valid that is.

  19. I voted for Blizzard. Not because I would like Blizzard to make it, but because I figured nobody else would. Seriously people, what the heck?

  21. I think you'll like the movie. I wasn't a die hard fan or played with the toys a lot, but it was entertaining. And it's better than what I expected from Michael Bay. I'm a big Die Hard fan. One of the first DVDs I got when I got a DVD player. That and Seven Samurai. As for Transformers, I'm not one of the big obsessive fans. My main interest in the series was actually Beast Wars because of the way the show developed and actually ventured into more mature concepts in the latter seasons. I'm not expecting any similarities to that in the movie.
  22. Be sure to use the spoiler tags this time around. I never use spoiler tags when I lie. It ruins the fun. HEY GUYS, I JUST SAW TRANSFORMERS AND THE X-MEN SHOW UP AT THE END TO KILL JACK SPARROW! So, Jazz turns out to be a Decepticon spy. I want to say I saw it coming, but I really didn't. There were little clues around and I'm kicking myself for not noticing it, but I didn't see it coming. The entire thing was masterfully done, I'm sure I won't be the only one that is experiencing this. What the heck?! Transformers was absolutely awful. Megatron turns out to be an RC car. I mean that literally, he's about 3 feet tall and Starscream steers him around by remote. The plot centered around both the Decepticons and the Autobots eating the humans for fuel, which really made Shia Lebouf's character seem like an idiot siding with either of them. If I feel like really riding the edge, I make a fake spoiler that's just the opposite of what's going to happen. That way people go in expecting it to happen, then get incredibly surprised when it doesn't. But what's more beautiful is nobody can tell anyone else that I lied without themself revealing a spoiler.
